I'm going to fast tomorrow .. Cravings have mostly gone now! That few day before my totm were just so hard! Glad your doing so well :)
 
It's been harder today as the weather has been so awful, I just wanted to curl up and eat warm comfort food.

I've bought some of those 15 calorie noodles from holland and Barrett, I made myself a carbonara type meal. Very nice actually and just what a needed.

Had two meals out yesterday which wasn't good. Noodles at lunchtime with my friend and then Pizza Express in the evening with some other friends.

I went over by about 300 cals but then I had my exercise calories to fall back on so i came in roughly on target. I know it wasn't a normal day yesterday but i didn't like coming in so over on calories. But then i did have 2/3 of a bottle of wine and ice cream.

I am going to make sure i come in well under my cals today and then tomorrow i am fasting again. I am quite liking the 5:2 diet - i seems to be really suiting me at the moment and it fits into my lifestyle well.

I am out next week for afternoon tea with my friend which is going to be a calorie filled afternoon but I am going to make a conscious effort not to overeat. we are booked in at 2.30 so that day I am going to have a brunch about 11-11.30 and then have afternoon tea.
 
Fast day today, I am struggling a bit today. There has been a cold working its way around the office and it has finally found its way to me.

I've still got my dinner left to have and maybe an early night. So glad I can eat normally tomorrow. Next fast day is Monday. Next week I am doing Monday and Wednesday.
 
I have bought the 5:2 book from Tesco but I don't think I could manage a 500 cal day & I certainly can't exercise the days I am fasting & I exercise every day apart from Wednesday so not sure how I could do it.....
 
I have been doing 600/700 cals when I've been fasting.. Today I have a surprising amount of energy.. And my mood is positive :) Def don't advise trying to fast week before totm!!

I also keep my carb levels below 50 on my fast days :)

600/700 cals isn't really fasting though is it. It's more like mini meals. Surely the object is to fast as low as possible in order to make your body use existing fat stores for the day not just keep it topped up

Suggested is 500 kcals for woman and 600 kcals for men.. I'm getting better at eating less did 595 yesterday better than the 687 I did on Tuesday .. Not a true fast really - you have the option of eating it in one meal, 2 meals or 3 small meals - for me I find I need to do 3 mini meals plus afternoon snack around 4pm .. But I'm finding it easier as I do it more often .. Biggest thing is I realising how thirsty I am .. And the fear of being hungry or without food is fading lol

Weigh in day! 2 pounds off♡ thats 8 pounds in just under 2 weeks.

The 5:2 seems to be suiting me so far.

Fast day today and I am seriously struggling! Kept on track though and the day is almost over.... Phew!
Got 100 cals left which I will eat while OH is having his dinner.
 
So glad I managed to get through yesterday, I think I struggled as I ate complete rubbish on Sunday and my body was craving carbs and sugar.

I am fasting tomorrow so I am planning on having a good day lots of fruit and veg and hopefully I will get through tomorrow a lot easier.

One thing I love about fasting is how flat my tummy feels the day after a fast. Obviously it doesn't last long but it feels nice and I always feel like the fast has been worth it.

I have decided to do a modified fast on Friday as I don't want 4 'up' days in a row.
 
Fast day yesterday and was soooo much better than Monday. I think the key is not to eat too much sugar and drink alcohol the day before a fast.

I had a tuna salad for lunch and a nu me Cumberland pie for dinner (297 cals). I even went food shopping - found some good low cal options in M&S. cod fish cakes at 145 cals, bubble and squeak potato cakes at 125 cals.

Went out for afternoon tea with my friend this afternoon, I was worried that I would overeat but I didn't. The portions weren't very big anyway so it was fine.

My fitbit is showing that I have walked 25,000 steps today, I am pleased with that as it counteracts some of the cals I had at lunchtime.
 
Another 2 pounds off! That's 10 pounds in 3 weeks. Very happy!

I can really feel the difference, I need to lose another 6 to get down to my lowest weight of last year.

I would like to have that lost and a little bit more by my birthday at the end of May. :)

Really well done ! Do you weigh after your last fast day ? Or after an upday?

I weigh after an up day. I've always weighed in on a Saturday and I didn't want to change my weigh day.

I really do feel like this is the plan for me. It's been the best thing I have done for a long time.

It's nice that so many of us are doing it and we can support each other through it.
