My Diary

Morning all, back in a good place this week, I think getting the kids back to school and all the birthdays out of the way has helped. Food is under control, by tomorrow I will have completed my first "Active" 30 day challenge and I've only 6 miles to go on my marathon a month challenge. All good. Off to paint the kitchen ceiling...
Have a great day!

you know I think it would take me about a month to do a marathon :p

Hello KB

i've just decided to make a diary on here and had a quick look at yours. We could be twins (well apart from the fact I'm a lot heavier than you ;) ) I too am in my forties, and a stay at home mum.
My exercise at the moment is walking anywhere and everywhere. My downfall WAS anything savoury, sweets, chocolate etc don't run a risk with me, but show me cheese sandwiches and a bumper pack of crisps and that is (or rather WAS) a different story.
Anyway, good luck on your journey and I'll keep a lookout for your diary as sometimes the xencial forum can be a bit quiet.

Hi KB, sounds like you're feeling better now :)
How did the ceiling painting go? I don't envy you there - paint splashes in the face, sore neck, achy arms (or maybe that's just me!) At least it's a bit extra exercise though :D
Glad to hear that you're back in a good place food/exercise wise. Special occasions and holidays are great in their own right, and we all know how important it is to live life, but they don't half cause havoc in the dieting department.
I'm back on the straight and narrow too, and although I'm not expecting a loss on the scales tomorrow, at least I'm limiting the damage!
Onwards and downwards, hey? :)

Helllooo!

Oooh hope u had fun painting the celing! Lol im right lazy and never paint them unless they neeed to be done ha!

Glad you are in a good place at the mo! Im kinda looking forwards to no having any borthdays to celebrate for a few months cos they r a nightmare for me! pick pick pick is all I do!

Thank you, Alex. Weigh in this morning and I have lost another 2 pounds :D That's me happy for another wee while. I have also so far lost 5 inches from my waist and my boobs have gone, not sure if this is a good thing. I have always been what you might call well made in that department, no matter what my weight was but for some reason this time all the weight has come off that bit of me (well, not ALL of it) I was aware that I had changed shape but my Mum remarked on it the other day and then yesterday, out of the blue, my very good (and flat chested) friend Emma turned up with a pair of socks she had bought for me! She said "I have always been flat chested (we know each other from school) but you haven't so I'll need to teach you a few tricks" Anyway, it may not be all bad, I think if you are big in the chest it makes you look overweight even if you aren't. I really need new underwear but I haven't had the nerve to measure myself or get measured. Maybe this weekend...
That's all from me this morning, I'm a happy bunny!

Yeay weldone hunny! Thats fab! Booo about the boobies tho! Although im sorry to say I am in the same club as you! :( used o b biggish (D) but now struggling to fill a C boo! Even my work mates take to micky! My new nickname is eggs! I think when Ambers birthday is over I may be investing in a lil help from Wonderbra or something lol!

Hope you have a fab Bank holiday weekend!

I'd love to be flat chested!! i wish I could get rid of mine!! Swapsies?

I also wanted to ask about the marathon thing.
Is it basically that you have to walk the number of miles in a marathon per month?

No thank you to the swap, PK. Like you, I did wish mine weren't quite so "out there" as long as they don't disappear completely!
Yes, the marathon thing is to walk the distance of a marathon in a month, still have 2 to go for this month so guess what I'll be doing tonight? Will you join me for next month?
Katie, you have a great weekend too and you don't need a wonderbra, just a pair of socks!

For next month certainly! :).

Not tonight though cause it's raining and the cat is going to the vets ;)
How many miles do we have to walk?

Well that's 1 mile down!! :)

It's been a funny old week. I had the usual shennanigans here on May day but managed to eat nothing at all while I was out, so was pleased with that. The fitter was coming yesterday to fit my new family room carpet and kitchen lino. I was bored rigid waiting for him and of course he didn't turn up until 3 so I had picked over whatever I could find while I was waiting. Not that that was much as I normally do my big shop on a Monday, couldn't cos of May day, then couldn't do it yesterday because of the fitter so we were all about to starve. Ended up bingeing on bread. Not good. Having said that I have been moving furniture around and running up and down the stairs so it might balance out. And my kitchen/family room (sort of a through room) look fabulous! Now the living room needs done and that will keep me happy for another while but it's a big room and I'm afraid it will just have to wait.
I can honestly say I have no idea what to expect from the scales on Friday I've been so all-over-the-place. Fingers crossed.

Fingers crossed for you too :)

Food so far today,

B-Bran Flakes with some currants.
S-WW hoops and WW mini cheddar things. Hmmm thinking I shouldn't have bought so many WW crisp type things.
L-My usual sandwich and a packet of Snack a Jacks (You'd think I'd have had enough crisps but no)
S-will be either an Alpen Light or some fruit/yoghurt
D-Pork steaks and salad.

Hope I can stick to that now. Haven't exercised for days except for a small amount of walking, Wii has been out of action due to the carpet issues but I have everything up and running again so may get something done this afternoon. On the other hand may not and have rehearsals tonight so that's no good. Will have to get more motivated!

btw thanks for the tips about the tescos thins

I've been eating snack a jacks for my mid morning break for (literally) years and these make a nice change :)
