Hi KB - just popping in to say hello :)
I love that picture of the scales! Just said to The Man that I need to write that on my own scales too! It really is very true - I feel great today after losing a bit this week, but if the scales hadn't been kind I'd be grumpy as hell. And I'm not talking about a difference of stones - even 2-3lbs would have made the difference between happy and sad today...which really is sad when you think about it.
Anyway, onto more important things - I've been meaning to say for ages that you looked absolutely great in your dress, and I'm so pleased that you felt good wearing it :) It sounds like you had a great time, and I'm sure the gain was worth it!
How are you doing now? Hope all is well with you

*Slinks back in, tail between legs* Me again, back to pretty much the weight I was when I started all this malarkey. A new year, a new start, I have drawn a very firm line under the past 6 or 8 months and have restarted today. All food good, plenty of exercise, a great start. Hope everyone is well,

hey hunni, welcome back... we have missed you. xxx lots of new faces around here, but they are all lovely. xx

i have restarted too for the 1000th time... xx

this is true xx

Feeling positive today. I have had fruit salad for breakfast with low fat yogurt, took the dog out, did about 3 1/2 miles with him, then lunch was a huge salad with a bit of turkey and reduced fat cheese in it. Dinner will be last night's beef mince (extra lean) and sweet potato stew. It was a Good Food Magazine recipe, I did find it a bit bland so may have to fiddle around with it for the next time. I'll also do another 3 miles or so with the poor dog who doesn't know what has hit him! His wee paws are aching.
Maybe more later,

Great to see you back KB :) And even better to see you getting re-focussed and looking forwards rather than looking back and regretting what can't be changed. I know I've finally managed to get to goal, but I must have re-started literally dozens of times over the last 10 years. I hope that gives you hope that just because you've fallen off the wagon before, it doesn't mean that you'll do it every time.
I really don't know where my determination came from this time to make it different than all the other times, but even now I'm at goal I can tell that something has changed within me. Don't get me wrong - my relationship with food is still very warped, I still eat too much/when I'm not hungry and can easily put away 3-4000 calories (like I did yesterday). The difference is that I'm not burying my head in the sand about the damage, I'm not pressing the self-destruct button, and I have a strategy in my head for balancing the good and bad days out. I just hope it lasts and that I'll be here in a year's time saying the same thing!
Hope you don't think that I'm bragging, or talking too much about my own experiences, but I just wanted to give you some hope given that you know more than anyone on Minis how much I've struggled and how hany times I've re-started!
Anyway, good luck with the rest of your first week back. I really hope you're rewarded with a great loss :)

Thank you, ladies, I really do appreciate the support. Alex, I love to hear other peoples success stories, it makes it seem all the more do-able. Especially yours because you deserve it so much and have always been there for the rest of us.
A good day today, 100%, long may it continue!
