My Dukan Diary! Let's GO!

Hello all! I started this a bit late. I wish I started it on day 1 of Attack as I am on day 2 of Cruise.

Here are the updates I emailed myself to keep track:

week 1 - pounds lost 6.2

Cravings - none really - too impressed with the weight loss and excited to keep it going. - feeling like im not that restricted with the dairy and wide choice of protiens

Favorite food - toss up between butternut squash soup and oat bran pancake

averaging about 1-1.2 pounds lost a day. drinking TONS of water, got up 3x to pee last night!

Then after day 1 of Cruise:

day 1 week 2 - 1.6 lb gain WTF?

current weight: 172.8 PISSED OFF.

I am on day 3 of Cruise and I am down .4 lbs from yesterday. Still feeling a bit bloated/constipated and I imagine this is where that little weight gain came from.

I need to stop being a slave to the scale. Perhaps that will help...

Breakfast today was my favorite!

Oat Bran Pancake
1 egg yolk + 2 egg whites and sugar free syrup.

ONWARD TO MY GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Angelj, I started attack monday, my last day tomorrow then I will be cruising too :) well done for losing so much on attack! I have lost 4lb so far with still tomorrow to go so will be interested to see what I weigh on sunday! We have a similar amount to lose and similar start/goal weights so I am sure we can kee each other motivated and keep each other on track :) keep up the good work!!! X

Thank you and job well done to you too!

I am glad you and I have a similar loss to compare. My only g/f trying to lose weight just wont stick to it. We even made a $40 bet to lose 15 lbs by March 15th last month and she keeps blowing it off and laughing about it and here I am working my ass off! I am frustrated with her because she wont stick to it and I wont get my money! LOL

Wonderful group here - so glad I found everyone!

Yes I agree! A great site! Lots to motivate us. It will be great to have someone to compare with and we are both at a similar stage, so its all good :) shall we organise a set day to compare our weigh ins?

great idea - what do you think? I am open to any day that works for you. I will totally look forward to it too!!

Which day is best for you ? I am weighing in on sunday (finished attack) but I am happy to weigh in whenever . I will look forward to it too. :)

well then - how about Wednesday? I started on a Wed so that way it will be the end of every week? I can't wait to hear how you did on attack!

:)

Update -

A few things I've learned about myself this weekend...

I've managed to enjoy a few things off the diet - it was like being on "holiday" because it was the first weekend my boyfriend and I got to spend all of our time together. I learned that if I eat one meal off the eating plan, as long as I stick to it and exercise (always exercise!) I A. don't feel as guilty and B. don't gain a pound.

Not that I am saying cheating is OK and acceptable - but let's face it, it WILL happen! Too many of us beat ourselves up for enjoying a nice time out or a holiday meal. Granted I will not be cheating regularly - it happened, I am moving forward and I am so thankful I did not go overboard and I made time to work out every single day.

Feeling motivated - looking forward to my weigh in Wednesday - the only thing I ate that was "cheating" was half of a sandwhich with Italian dressing on a roll. And oh boy was it delicious! Thankfully, not one pound gained. And if so, I will work extra hard to keep it off!

Your slip up will have brought you out of ketosis though, so careful as you'll most likely be hungrier now and more open to temptation...

It's up to you though if you choose to do this sort of thing, of course, but I prefer to say this in case new people might think it's ok. It might well not have caused a weight gain, but it could well make your dieting life harder
:)

I know, I was thinking the same thing that is why today I went back to protein! I definitely don't want to continue to do so, but I was very glad I got a hold on it. Previously, I would just eat and eat and then feel so guilty. Baby steps...

lol! :)

Starting over again.

Today is the official day I re start my journey. I just slipped up too much and decided it was time to get back on track. It sure is hard when your cravings kick in - and for us ladies, particularly for me - a week before my "Time of the month" I need to almost tie my arms to my sides and lock the pantry so I don't stuff my face with crap!

For breakfast today I am going to have 1 egg + 1 egg white and a small oat bran pancake. Lunch will be a piece of salmon, cooked in a little bit of PAM and dinner is going to be a chicken breast with a dukan allowed sauce.

I am feeling good! Let's make sure this keeps up.

So excited! I fell off the wagon a bit but started over again yesterday and really came up with some great dishes that were still Attack-friendly.

I stepped on the scale and I am down 2 lbs from yesterday! I am 1 lb away from my first goal that I already hit so I am basically BACK ON TRACK!

Feeling good! CHEERS! And I hope all my fellow dukan friends are doing well today!

xx

Yeah buddy!

Weighed in today and finally back in the 160s! 169 and going strong! (I haven't seen that number in quite some time)

My 2nd round of attack is working and working fast! Now the trick will be to stick to it!

Somehow I am becoming sick of salmon - my favorite fish. Guess its time to change it up. Need to get more gas for our grill, I am CRAVING a nice steak!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!

Today I start my 16 day fitness test!

I am going to see how "ripped" I can get in 16 days (we leave for vacation on the 17th day)

I am going to work so hard on my diet and I already did my morning weight/cardio workout. I am throwing in an extra cardio workout later tonight.

WOOHOO! I'll be posting the results after the 16 days!!

Hi AngelJ,

Well done for getting back on track! It looks like we've got similar journey's to make too, though I started a little bit higher at 182 trying to get down to 147. I'm just a week into cruise but would be great to spur each other along the journey if you want a buddy! Good luck :)

Haha!

No way - they were horrid. I gave up trying for now. I am not sure what I did wrong except for following the recipe in the Dukan Book. I am going to try the recipes posted on here and also utilize a different source of flavor instead of Vanilla extract - tasted way too much like a Diet Shake/Product or something.

The muffins had horrible flavor and a weird sponginess to them.

But - whatever. At least the pancake is my favorite

And I've lost another 2 lbs so far - did my workout this morning and I am SORE!

Hey!

I would LOVE a buddy! I would be happy to weigh in on here together... it helps a lot!

I should be in my 3rd or 4th week of Cruise but I screwed up a few times :sigh: BUT I am doing pretty well now.

Let's do it! I love this feeling before vaycay - it was the motivation I needed. And then my birthday rounds the next corner on April 19th - the big 2-9 so I will be working hard for that too.

:flirt2:

omg FAIL

My boyfriend came home with a pizza and I was STARVING after eating only a pancake - doing a hard upper body workout and then a chicken cutlet teryaki style with some veggies and then abs/cardio core workout - i was literally dizzy and I definitely ate some!

BUT I went to the gym after and ran a mile and did another 30 min cardio - hard cardio. SOOO I hope this evens it out and back to it tomorrow!

What a psycho I sound like... just had to post it.

Not to mention - the bf is in a tremendously pissy mood which is extremely frustrating. we have to be up early tomorrow to go see my nephew (whom I have not met yet) and brother/his wife's family so hopefully A. I will not cheat and B. HE will be smiling again.

btw - has anyone noticed how annoying it is when you're working on yourself and feel good that someone important and close to you - lover/spouse/close friend/family member is unhappy - so frustrating. its like someone bursting your bubble.
