MY Harcombe Diet - Day 15 - Phase 2

Re: MY Harcombe Diet - Day 2

Oh and I feel more full up with cold today... Just call me Miss Sneezy!! Wonder if it really is diet related or just a winter cold!

at this time of year its hard to tell
but cd does have milk proteins in it so it could very well be the dairy - if I were you I would not reintroduce dairy until I have been free of symptoms for about 5 days then try just a little once during the day and see what happens - heres to day three
so far your loses are amazing - wish mine were that good - but if I feel healthier to me that has to be what I aim for :):)

Well done Karen, great result! I've not weighed myself yet but as H says I too already feel healthier and happier! I suppose its probably because I feel a little bit more in control.
Hope your cold goes soon, and have a good day x

well done Karen, halfway there now !!

Myself and someone else had coldy symptom on phase 1 but as H says its hard to tell this time of year.

Glad you like the BNS chips-they are goreous arent they ?

I had never had shreddied wheat before-they need 'something'. I had the bitesized ones and topped them with raspberries and blueberries and some yogurt-made them more palatable-a tiny be of artificial sweetner would be unoffically ok too ( but I didnt say that LOL)

That's a good point re CD, not sure i can wait an extra 5 days for some cereal though, i would much rather have that than bacon and egg! *shock horror*

Glad you're feeling good already!! Wonder when my time will come haha. You are right about the control thing tho, it does make such a difference to life!!

Oooo yeah, half way there!! Excellent!!!!

The chips were off the scale stunning!! Can't wait to have more later tonight lol. I don't mind plain cereal, i have never liked the sugary ones and never add extra sugar either. My cereal choice would be cornflakes (too naughty), all bran or weetabix. I hope i like the SW, i've bought a box today.... can't wait to try it on Saturday!!!!!!!!

Well my menu tonight has changed! Instead of sirloin steak we are having chicken breast wrapped in parma ham, with baby leaf salad and bns chips. Mmmmmmmmm!

The steak will keep for tomorrow night!

Sounds lovely, when you are on phase 2,try the same with a bit of cheese stuffed inside the chicken !!

Oh defo Jane!! Jim just asked if we are allowed cheese haha. I think pam mentioned doing it with cheese and basil leaf in a previous post???? Pam-laaaaaa????

I am so satisfied on this diet it's unreal..... :D

Hi Karen, What are bns chips? Sorry I am new to all this!!!

Yes Karen, in Phase 1 you could put basil leaves on the parma ham before wrapping the chicken breasts.

In Phase 2, I sometimes put garlic & herb cream cheese in the chicken or ordinary cream cheese with chopped basil. They dont do so many varieties of cream cheese out here as the UK. You can add mushrooms or anything really.

Dinner sounds lush. I am feeling hungry after my visit to Ikea. :(

Hi there

It's butternut squash cut into chip shapes and roasted with olive oil coating for about 25mins.... They are better than real chips!!!

Lovely ideas Pam thank you! I love Basil!!!!!

When you do your Bns chips do you peel it first???

Xx

Not tried it yet but apparently you can so the same with celeriac too-it's on my list of things to try !!

I usually leave the skin on mine, they are such a pain to peel, some people dont like the taste, but if it's good enough for Jamie Oliver.........

Lol well if it's good enough for him, absolutely!!!! Jims been doing all the cooking so will be relieved to hear this!!!

I don't think I've ever had celeriac, will await your expert opinion before I try it lol x x

Oooo they sound FAB!! Might try those tomorrow.

How lovely that Jim is supporting you so much....my hubby has just poured himself a large G and T .....mean or what? Does Jim need to lose much weight?

You should try going to bed and DH (dick head;)) takes a large bar o fruit and nut out of his bedside drawer and proceeds to munch. Grrr!

Basil certainly adds that certain something to it, Karen, even when you put the cream cheese inside the chicken. I hae two big pots of basil on my kitchen windowsill. The aroma is great. I must admit I have never tried leaving the BNS unpeeled.
