My life is as good as an ABBA song!

Cg cant wait for pics xxx pb cheesecake wow....

Well you can all take off your coats, there's been a change of plan! Am now swamped with work and there's no way I'll have time to make any cheesecake or other complicated things, I'll be lucky to get dressed before company arrives!! So have now switched to plan b, which is good too, a peanut butter bar cake type of thing that takes 5 minutes to throw together and it's setting now, and the fajitas are already marinating. Grrr I hate sudden changes!

Hang on for the recipe then:)
I am now colouring my hair, I've been avoiding the hair dressers for many months because of how my hair fell out after cambridge last year and just when I was ready to go back to the hairdresser and her more stringent haircolour she's not available and so I'm giving the old L'oreal another go :) Argh, I hate when things don't go my way :)
So I've now got the loreal hair colour on my head, sitting in my knickers by the computer with the timer on the oven. I am such a bridget jones type!! (not as pretty though, mind you!)

Right, though I just need the colour to hide my greys!

OK, try this recipe, everyone really loves it it's not too sweet and nice and peanutbuttery:
260g peanut butter
90g butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup flour
sprinkle salt
2 cups choc chips (or to taste, I like less)

Oven to 180C. Beat peanut butter and butter, then add sugar, eggs and vanilla beat until creamy. Add flour and salt. Stir in choc 1 cup chips, spread into ungreased pan (13x9inch) and back 25-30 minutes. Once you take out pour on the rest of the choc chips, cover and let sit for a few minutes. Uncover and spread the chocolate with a knife evenly over the surface and let cool. Much better left overnight!!

Oh CG I hear you loud n clear :) black hair here, started with the dreaded greys when I was 26 strangely doesn't run in the family as far as I can tell :) just a fluke thing x

OK, and at the risk of being me-ish for a while, is it ok to have long hair when you're almost 50??? I only ask because I had a comment recently that I should cut my hair, but really, why should I? My hair reaches my bra line at the moment. Am I trying to get back my youth or something? I like it but if it makes me look like an ass I'd like to know :)

Nigella wouldn't look half as nice without her lovely long locks (i mean seriously can you imagine her with a bob? eeek)
Jerry Hall the same...
Jennifer Aniston
Sarah Jessica Parker

and oh best of all Jane Seymour :) she looks lovely

I say do what you want, ignore everyone else, there's no one size fits all thing....(I'd look daft with a short hair cut...y'know the type, short back and sides and fluffed on top) :) so I'm hanging onto my hair :) x

Ill never have mine cut...im fighting all the way xxx mines on the bra line too but feathered down the sides....and well and truly coloured...who want to be grey!!!!!

Yes, the comment was that I should 'act my age' which is what? What the hell does that mean? Oh well, I've always been a nonconformist and that means that thank god my parents decided to get out of dodge when the commies came in 1968 and however it may have turned out I thank god we did'n't live in "onetopia"/ :) So the hair is actually fine, but I do need some trimmiing or so it all seems to just hang there at the mo :))

Well had a smashing day at the wine fest but having been out of practice :) it went right to my head. Broke 2 fingernails, bought some nice local artist paintings and on the way home I managed to twist the hell out of my ankle in a pothole. I don't think anythings broken, there's no swelling just some reddish black colour but oh my is it painful to walk on I debated going to the 1st aid station but they don't seem to be answering their phone, probably the lines are jammed up with all the partygoers :) So I've found an ankle bandage which feels quite good and I'll lie on the couch and veg out for the day! Argh!

Well hello CG....I really can't believe that I only just made it to your diary- no idea where I've been all this time!

Lovely to read about how you've been doing and the familiar battles and figuring out the best way to beat this weight. You're doing great though, hope you're remembering to remember to feel proud.

Not sure why I called you CG when I now know you're Renata. My aunt was a Renata - born in the early 30s. Her mother was German, not sure why the name was chosen but all her children had names that started with 'R'.

Hope your ankle isn't actually seriously hurt. Maybe a bit of that PB deliciousness will fix it? Was the recipe you gave for the fake reese's pb cups she does? I made those once, man, so good but so bad.....like she says, when you see what goes into them, there's no conning yourself that they're anything other than terrible for you!

Look forward to keeping up with you from now!

Jx
