My Maintenance Diary + food pics

You betcha!

100% again today. Cycled to/from work again.

Breakfast:
Same as yesterday minus the scrambled egg
HExB for porridge oats

Lunch:
2 eggs
couscous w/ mixed veg
salad
1 small boiled potato w/skin

Dinner:
Quorn cottage pie, baby leeks & carrots, turnip, brussels.jpg
Cottage pie was 3.5 syns but I did leave about half of the tattie.

I don't think anyone had better sit next to me for the remainder of the evening :8855:

Have made a huge pan of bean / lentil / veg soup so will be taking that for lunch.

I lost 2.5lbs this week.
Exactly what I'd hoped for but honestly thought I'd no chance of achieving.
I'm absolutely delighted.

Thank you so much Jo and V4L for your supportive posts, it really helped me pull things round.

Just goes to show... when you think all is lost.... IT ISN'T!!! :D :D :D

5lbs to a healthy BMI.... Here I come :D

I'm copying and pasting myself...:giggle:NICE ONE ANDREA!!!!!!!!!! WHOO HOOOO! get in with those shiney's too! :D :D I think you and I both hit 2.5 stone on the same week! :D

Ah, thanks so much. Have rewarded myself with a nice high-carb dinner :D
Dinner 28.06.jpg

Cheese and Broccoil Pasta 'n' Sauce
ASDA Moroccan Chickpea Burger (3 syns)
Topped with Dairylea light cheese triangle (HExA)
BNS Chips
Sweet Chilli Sauce (2 syns)

Have also had:
Banana for after weigh in
Fruit 'n' Fibre w/linseeds (2xHexB) and soya milk (HExA)

I've not been drinking hardly any green tea lately. On reflection I don't think it contributes much at all to weight loss. Metabolism, to my knowledge, increases as you build lean muscle, I don't see how Green Tea has the properties which enable this to happen. I'd be interested if anyone could persuade me to the contrary.

Yesterday's breakfast:
Scrummy brekkie.jpg
Tried something different with the pancakes.
In between two is a layer of sliced banana, lf nat yoghurt & sweetener, strawberries and sweetener on top.

I think I prefer using them with savoury food as a bread substitute but this was very nice although it did give me indigestion when riding to work.

Our utility room has flooded this evening, floor was covered in 2.5 inches of water. The dog was really stressed out with the stormy weather too. Pleased the rain has now stopped and the sun is out. But for how long I wonder?

Right, off to watch the second-half. :D

We have fortunately been storm free here in Leeds, but I understand the rest of the country are having a terrible time.
Those pancakes sound lush - are they homemade?

Well done on the 2.5lb loss - I am hoping for that this week to get me under 14st!

Thank you hun x
Yeah, homemade pancakes, ingredients are on post #139 along with a link to watch how they're made on YouTube. The only thing I do different is using frylight instead of the coconut oil.

Am sure you'll get under that 14st. I'll be rooting for you. What day do you weigh in? Do you have a diary I could follow? xx

Woo hoo way to go hun knew u could do it :) well done for getting it back on track and getting a loss the hard work was all u :) know to kill that 5lb.

Your pancakes do look yummy i tried the no syn pancakes before but found them a bit eggy. As for the green tea I agree with you I'm jot sure whether it increases metabolism but I just like the taste.

Have a good Friday x

Another pancake idea (the best so far). Had this for breakfast yesterday and today:

Pancake, lcel cheese, smoked salmon.jpg

Last night's dinner:

Sea bass, roasted veg, sp chips.jpg

Off for a long cycle down to Roker and back, hope to do it in under 3 hours. Am going to have a bash at making (my version of) the baked bean lasagne when I get back. Renaming it Spicy bean lasagne as I'm putting refried beans in too. Using lasagne verdi as I thought this was the healthiest option. May well be a complete disaster, we'll see. Will post a pic when it's done.

There and back in under 2hours 45mins :D Lasagne is in the oven, listening to The Stones by The Stones on BBC6. Been a good day :)

Here we go:

I found your diary at last. Hope you're ok and weigh in went well for you. x

Hi Andrea popping over to subscribe. Hope you managed to speak to Nik x

Thanks for stopping by Kel. I can't subscribe to your diary
I did manage to speak to her thanks very much for letting me know her email. Such a shame, I'm still gutted!

I've been dead good today (yes, it's weigh in tomorrow, lol).
I really watered down my pancake mix to make it into more of a crepe. I think I preferred it like this, quicker to cook and it was bigger so seemed like more :) Been having them with the smoked salmon and dairylea light cheese triangle.

Lunch was superspeed soup with another pancake & another triangle. 4 apricots, fresh pineapple, strawberries and raspberries.

Managed to drink 2.25 litres of water at work, as well as having can of (diet) pop with lunch. Have had another 750ml bottle full this eve and had a mug of hot water & lemon with breakfast. Think I may have a cuppa green tea before bed.

Dinner:

Rainbow trout & roasted veg.jpg
Rainbow trout stuffed with flavoured rice (think it was tomato & herb but not certain) baked in the oven, with roasted veg: carrot, cherry toms, red pepper, red chilli, leek, courgette, sweetcorn.
(om nom nom)

I'm hoping for a 2.5lbs loss tomorrow to keep me on track for my healthy BMI for my bike ride. Have been for a ride this evening for 1hr 15mins (723 calories burned). I seem to have lost my mojo with the cycling. I was completely exhausted when I got back from work on Monday and I haven't been back on the bike until tonight. My legs feel tired and heavy and I don't think the state of the cycle paths are helping as there's still a lot of debris lying around, mud-slicks and big potholes and chunks out of the road from the storms last week . This is a really bad time for a burn out to be happening!!! Am going to cycle to group tomorrow and see how I feel after that. I think it may have something to do with the two sessions of 30 day shred I did last friday eve and saturday morning. I didn't feel my muscles aching overly much in the days after but think it may be what's contributed to the legs seeming to have lost a bit of momentum. (Damn you Jillian Michaels)

:fingerscrossed: for tomorrow

Off for a nice hot bath with Hunger Games #2 :D

Thanks Jo. I lost 2lbs which I'm very happy about, (snap with you this week :))
I cycled to group and back, went part way on the road as I was late and managed to get there in 24 minutes. The way I usually go takes me 45. I know I like my cycling and that, but it's a no-brainer which way I'll be going from now on. Only 3lbs to my healthy BMI now, I soooo want it for next week.

Have just been to get some supplies. Am going to try making a Lentil and Butternut Squash Loaf that I got the recipe for from Cook Vegetarian mag. Have also got the new SW mag today so should be lots of stuff in there to give a try. Still have some leftover bean lasagne and some leftover roast veggies from last night to have for dinner. I feel set for the week ahead already. Here's hoping for that 3lbs.

Gotta go teach for an hour now, will pop over to Team Tinsel when I'm back.

So I made the bns & lentil loaf. Have cut it into 10 slices and did the maths so each slice is 3 syns if not using the breadcrumbs as a HExB and 1/2 a syn with Bread as HExB. The extra syns comes from some pistachios that I added to the top (an inspired addition imo). Have just had some for lunch with salad and it was really, really nice. Very filling as well. I've taken pics and will add them on later. (There is a small amount of milk used to bind everything together but less than 1 HExA portion so spread into 10 portions I thought it was negligible enough to ignore). I did use "proper" milk and was wondering if anyone knew if a non-dairy milk would have serve the same purpose without making it taste weird. Let me know if you've done this kind of thing.

Just finishing off a nice fruit salad of melon, strawberries and pineapple then must get back to looking busy at work.

Back home now, have done virtually nowt all day, really had to stretch the work out. Wish my boss would organise himself a bit better so he could find time to sit down with me and discuss which jobs I can take off the other, more-busy people in my department. Still waiting for him to do my 3 month review..... I've only been there for two bloody years . Anyway, TFI Friday, that's all I can say.

Here are the pics of my lunch:
Pistachio-topped Puy lentil & Butternut Squash Loaf.jpgLoaf & salad lunch.jpg

Off to a rehearsal in a bit as I'm playing for a show (Guys and Dolls, my fave :D :D) next week. Thankfully my friend whose house I'm going to is doing SW as well so she's making a nice din-dins for us (wonder if she'll be offended if I whip out my camera??). So apologies in advance if I'm a bit absent next week, just going to be uber busy with two jobs on the go. I think it may be a bit of a test for me as I'm going to have to be so planned and prepared with all of my meals in advance. Thankfully I've got plenty of Loaf put away in the freezer so will probably be taking that every evening. Well, it was nice so no complaints (I may not be saying that when I've got lentils coming out of my ears by the end of the week). If anyone has any other ideas for meals on the go please feel free to suggest something, the loaf can always stay in the freezer after all. :)

Loaf looks lovely :)

Thank you x

Have had a great weekend food-wise but very poor exercise-wise in that I've basically done nowt.
Was supposed to cycle to work today but when the alarm went off at 6:30 I just couldn't get myself up (was in bed at 10 n'all). Managed to snooze away two hours and was late for work

Not only have I got two jobs on the go this week, I've just realised I have an assignment to do by midnight tomorrow. FFS! And I'm here on Minimins wasting more time that I don't have.

Have had a bit of a stressy weekend and my skin has broken out again so have made an appointment with the doctor as I can't put up with it anymore. Am hoping I can get referred for some testing so they can find out the cause.

Stress is not conducive to weight-loss, so I'm doubting very much whether I'll get those 3lbs this week. Not going to worry if not, if it takes another week so be it. Just hope I don't STS, that would be disappointing.
