MY NEW YEARS XENICAL DIARY

I always get hungry at night time. I think it's because I've gotten used to snacking at that time of night so my body is still letting me know it wants fed then. But I'm doing my best to ignore it!
 
emma i smoke too and i notice i started having ALOT more when i started this, but cos your eating less u do eventually start to have less cigs!!! i hope to give them up soon but il concentrate on eating and exercising for the time being!!

right, i upped my cals and still saw no weight loss, a minor 2lb, so ive changed my goals to loosing 1lb per week, which has given my eating goals 1600 per day, which i was eating around 1500 when i first started out so ill give this a try for a month or so and if its STILL not working im guna have to do something about it, either the slimfast shakes thing or REALLY restrict myself cos its so annoying :( :(

i reeeealllly dont wanna give up !!!!!!!!!! xx
 
i always snack at night to, so i just try to drink drink drink sugarfree cordial at night to take away the hunger pains!! or eat rice cakes!! (thanks to rach i have discovered soemthing else i like lol)

Of course you can have a day off Rach! Your body needs days off from exercise to recover. I use the EA Sports Active More Workouts on the Wii and that gives me 3 rest days per week.

Jude - I plan to give up eventually, certainly before I decide to start a family. I'm hoping to quit when I finish uni and move back home, because my mam makes me go outside to smoke and I'm usually too lazy to go outside so I find myself smoking less when I'm home anyway.

Jude you've done well to lose 30lbs so far, I'm assuming you've kinda hit a plateau, so you'll probably have to mix your diet up a bit to try and kick start the weight loss again. You could try altering your calorie intake - have 1500 one day, 1200 the day after, 1500 the day after that, etc, just for a little while to see if it'll help? 1 - 1.5lbs a week loss is what is recommended anyway (slow and steady!), so take your time and keep at it, it'll start shifting again soon :)

I did the first workout on my EA Sports Active More Workouts tonight, and I quite enjoyed it. I'm so out of shape though! Been doing a lot of walking recently too, so it should all show on the scales. I'm getting pretty nervous about the weigh-in on Monday though. Is Monday your weigh-in too? How do you think you've done this week? x
 
thanks emma, i think i have cos its bin sticking to the same weight +/- 2 lb for a good month now, its really bugging me i know it happens and ive just gotta carry on but it makes me worry and we all know what worrying does !!! and it DOES NOT HELP being easter and chocolate is EVERYWHERE!!!!!!

ive been really lacking on my exercise cos im sat staring at microsoft word all the time tryna do this work, so i know thats probably not helping, im sooo determined!! Rach seriously what is your secret!!!!!!

how does the slimfast thing work btw? i don't really know anything about it xxx
 
I have no secret Jude lol, i think its because i have so much to lose and you dont have as much!! But you have lost loads of weight, just remember that!! We all get to a stage at some point where our weight loss comes to a stand still, we just have to figure out how to get it going again!!
 
Jude, Slim Fast is a meal replacement diet. Basically, you have a milkshake for breakfast and lunch, then cook your own healthy 600 calorie dinner in the evening. You're allowed 2-3 100 calorie snacks throughout the day too. And they also do meal replacement bars if you don't want milkshakes all the time. They all come in a variety of flavours, and it's all quite tasty :) Obviously I can't do it forever, cos i'm living on 1200 calories a day and I'm always hungry lol. But it's going well so far :)
 
hmm i might just try having them for breakfast for a week or two, are they expensive?

and i know you have no secret rach lol i just wish i had a consistent loss, even 0.5lb a week would put a smile back on my face!! im really gunna have to step up the exercise my gym membership ran out this month lmao and im too lazy to go and get another one as my friend has ditched it altogether meaning i would be going on my own!! x
 
The tubs of powders are usually about a fiver each (they make 12 shakes) but they're on offer for £2.98 in Sainsbury's at the minute. You can get ready-made shakes too. And the snacks are around 50p each.

I used to go to the gym on my own, I preferred it that way cos you can just do you own thing and not worry about keeping up with anyone else :)

and yeah rach i love walking, its just where too? i feel daft just walking around the streets which i know its not daft, just the "starin at the fat girl sweating" always stops me from going. i do the 30dayshred dvd but only wen nobodys in the house cos i need the whole front room for space as ill put the floor through upstairs in my room! and its not often everybodies out at once.

i honestly am typing this thinkin "yet another excuse, annnd another excuse"
 
i know how you feel about people seeing you out walking, thats why i go out at about 8 or half past then not many are around!! but i am lucky as where i live theres a nice long lane with only fields around it and a few houses, and you would rarely meet anyone, one walk from that lane takes 30 minutes and the other 45 minutes!

I know i said i wasnt going to do a workout today, but i gave in in the end and did 30 minutes free run on the wii, i started feeling guilty that i hadnt done anything!!

well atleast bbq food isnt cooked in fats or oils so it wont be too bad for ya!! youll do fine!! anyway off too bed i shouldn't stay up this late i end up having breakfast at 10am wen i wake up :(

if you can will u post what u did have at the bbq, im sure i will be going to one soon and would love to know my limits!!! xx
