I've heard that if you do a handstand on the scales you weigh at least 5 lbs lighter! LOL Can you still do a handstand Bess?
And tell us whether the theory is right?

Don't do movies - only been to the cinema 3 times EVER in my married life, and watch maybe 1 a month on the replay channels! So no use for me.

Weigh in day 13.11 so up 3lbs. I'm very tempted to do a runner as I feel so hopeless but think I'd like to stay just quietly sitting at the back of the wagon if that's ok. :sigh:

I'm up 3lbs too Bess but I am not hiding or sitting quietly, so neither must you. I know mine is down to fluid retention and not food, I always bloat at this time of the year when its hot. My feet and ankles look divine :eek: I am sure that is the case with you. Not horrible feet and ankles but water retention xxx
 
Neither of you are going anywhere. End of story. I am still not quite on wagon, but will be soon... so maybe you are just stalling the wagon and waiting for me?

I'm on the bl**dy wagon and still going up and down like a yoyo. ½ lb on, ½ lb off - a total of just 1 lb off in 4 weeks!

So you definitely are not going anywhere at all Bess. Head up to the front and join me and say out loud after me "I WILL **** DO THIS" adding in whichever expletive you thinks fits the best!

Right thanks to Jules, Scan bran for breakfast topped with cottage cheese and banana. Hmm....an aquired taste I think!
Lunch will be omelette, supper - no idea. I'll be out working so I'll see what they rustle up and try to avoid the fish and chip shop :eek:. No, WILL avoid the fish and chip shop. :rolleyes:

Thinking of buying some running shoes.....
 
Well done Bess, yes you WILL avoid the chippy! Why not make SW fish and chips? Blend up a HEB's worth of wholemeal bread and then dip your White fish in egg before dipping in breadcrumbs. Really yummy with SW chips, mushy peas and a salad for your superfree! X
 
Bess, the wagon will wait for you. I am clinging on to it at the moment so that should slow it down ;)

This sounds yummy - but presumably an EE day?
 
Ah - don't do EE :wave_cry: Just doesn't work for me.
Have to stick to mostly red with the odd green thrown in.
 
Still 13.11, but a better day yesterday so feeling :). Proper planning today, off to Sainsbury's in a mo to get the right stuff in.
Also DD3's birthday, everyone home for supper including hopefully the birthday girl, if she doesn't have a mum inconsiderate enough to want to give birth near the end of her shift. :rolleyes: :D. Hope we can eat in the garden. I plan to look for Jules' roulade and make that. I thought it would be in the SW dessert book, but it isn't the same one there. I'm sure there wasn't flour in Jules'.

I avoided the chippy last night - was working late and I pass it on the way home at the moment. I've only been in once, the other day, meaning just to eat the fish but......actually, the batter was so greasy it made me feel ill so I didn't eat it all. Went to bed with tummy ache as well - serves me right. I've not been here to make supper recently, working a few afternoons and evenings lately, but I will try the SW fish and chips, they look yummy.

Is this the recipe you want? There's no flour in it at all, and its delicious. I made it last week, but i put white chocolate o0tions in the quark filling to get rid of that sour taste! And lots of chopped strawberries with a bit of sweetener! Everyone really enjoyed it, even my step mum and the kids xx Best to use an electric whisk if you've got one, and I lined the tray with greased (frylight) baking paper which made it a bit easier to roll too xx

FRUIT ROULADE - 0.5 SYN FOR THE WHOLE CAKE

1 TUB QUARK
4 EGGS
1 TSP BAKING POWDER
4 TBSP SWEETENER (I put 5 in)
VANILLA ESSENCE (OR ANY)
FRESH FRUIT

SEPERATE THE EGGS

ADD THE YOLK, HALF THE QUARK,
BAKING POWDER, SWEETNER AND ESSENCE INTO A BOWL, WHISK TOGETHER AND SET ASIDE.

WHISK EGG WHITE TILL STIFF. WHISK HALF INTO THE MIXTURE THEN FOLD IN OTHER HALF.

USING A SWISS ROLL TIN SPRAY WITH FRY LIGHT POUR THE MIXTURE IN AND BAKE AT 180 FOR 15 - 20 MINUTES. LEAVE TO COOL

IN A DISH ADD REMAINING QUARK ,SWEETENER, AND ESSENCE AND MIX TOGETHER (I added 1/2 options white hot choc sachet, or you could add some yoghurt)

REMOVE THE CAKE FROM TIN WHEN COOL SPREAD THE QUARK EVENLY, ADD FINELY CHOPPED FRUIT. (ROLL THE CAKE FROM ONE END) SLICE TO SERVE.

THE WHOLE CAKE IS ONLY HALF A SYN AND THATS THE BAKING POWDER. CAN ALSO ADD CHOC OPTIONS SACHET FOR FLAVOURING.

WHEN THE CAKE COMES OUT OF THE OVEN IT WILL HAVE RISEN LOADS BUT WILL GO VERY FLAT WHEN COOL.
