My Weight Loss Journey

I'm Baaacckkkk! Missed this group tons and went totally off track while on my holidays, but really enjoyed every single minute of indulgence that I had :) Really fearing what the scales will say (as it's also * week), but need to go and face the numbers tomorrow otherwise may stay off track for longer.
Had great comments from everyone in Spain and my parents (who are also following SW) looked great too! Felt like a Consultant while I was there as everyone wanted me to explain the diet to them. Funny I didn't practise what I was preaching while there :D
Will need some extra support the next few weeks, so please do comment and keep me motivated:p

Hi Meli, missed ya too!! Did you have a fabulous time?! It must have felt great having all those compliments from everyone who hasn't seen you for a while! It's been slow progress for me!!STILL 4lb off my 4 stone sticky but really really hoping to get there next week! It won't happen tomorrow as although I've been super good, it's *week and it ALWAYS effects me no matter how angelic I've been, but it would be lush to have a loss! I'd be over the moon with 2.5lb as it would take me down into the 11 stone range which I'm gaggin' to be in!! It would psychologically be a big deal because I haven't been there in 10 years!! Good luck to you for tomorrow!! You're so good I reckon you'll be laughing!!XXX

Missed you lots! Anxious to see how you've done tomorrow, as long as you enjoyed yourself you really can't put a price on that! You'll be back on track before you know it - think of it this way: you have a few days to start getting back to being 100% and then BAM, Eid. It'll be much easier to deal with if you're on track, otherwise like you say, it may throw you off for longer.

Hehe, I bet you looked amazing on that beach! And you probably burnt lots of calories in that heat, not to mention the tan you must have!

Will be sure to come read your diary regularly :) xxx

Funcurls: I had such a good time and feeling refreshed as my parents and sis helped a lot with the kids. Here's to a good loss for us both next week (as it's my * week too) :D Remember we are in it for the long run, so might as well enjoy on the way too!

Lurverick: Didn't see much of an update from you on your diary. How have the losses been while I've been gone? You don't have very long to go now to reach target! Thanks for popping in and keeping me going :)

10st10: I've got a lovely tan now, but I'm sure it won't last long. Not sure about the burning of calories as the first day I did run around with the kids with the football on the beach, but the rest of the days sat on my lazy bum just soaking up the sun. Not sure what is happening with Eid yet or what day it will fall on?? Do you know when the Chand Raat thing is going on in Longsight? You have any plans for Eid?

Have so much to do today as I need to start unpacking, washing clothes, cleaning up the house and grocery shopping. In addition to all of this have news that my sister-in-law's husband is coming to stay with us (as he got his student visa), so he will be here next week. That means loads of guests coming in the next coming weeks which means lots of cooking and temptations around. Watch this space, but for now back to my 100% day planned today (with limited food I have around)

Green Day:
Breakfast - 42g All Bran (HEB) with 220 ml skimmed milk (HEA) and a banana

Lunch- 6 Ryvita WG Crackerbreads (HEB) with Chickpea Dip

Snack- Frozen Blueberries

Dinner (after WI): 3 Quorn Sausages with AH Spice Sensation Cous Cous (.5 syn)

Snack- Mini Twister (2 syns), Alpen Light Bar (3 syns)- need to check this again- forgot my syn values

Water: 1.0 litre
Exercise: cleaning house!!!

it's another ½ lb off for me this week. I've been having a really hard time! Been ill... and to make myself feel better i've been eating what I should not have!

I'm doing it properly today (although i'm finding it extremelly difficult). Thursday weigh in - will let u know how it goes. Fingers crossed it's a good one.

Enjoy your time in Spain (can't believe it's for 3 weeks! i'm so jealous!)

Didn't see another update from you??? Hope you are doing better now?
Have turron in my suitcase calling my name, but resisting them :)

morning!
hehe-loving popping in here again.

theres a bit of an update on there but not much as i was away as well....weighed in on the 16th august with 10st 3.5lb,leaving 11.5lb to target but then was away and didnt weigh in again until last week and i was 10st 5lb leaving 13lb to target...sob!!!
not too sure how today is going to go!! what time do you weigh in?

Yesterday definately didn't go to plan as a few hours before WI I had some chocolate turron I had unpacked from the suitcase and then after WI my neighbours had brought some lovely Afghani rice (rice, sweet carrots and raisins and some chicken meatballs on top), so had some of that. So didn't have a good day at all.
Only good news was at WI as I only gained 3lbs after my 3 week holiday. Really think it has to do with the walking that we did each day!

Went shopping early morning, so all stocked up to start fresh...

Green Day-
Breakfast (at 11am)- I actually ate a whole Onken Fat Free Vanilla yogurt (450g)- It's unlimited amounts we are allowed afterall isn't it????
Lunch- 6 Ryvita Crispbread (HEB) with Chickpea dip
Snack- Apple and Orange, Alpen Light bar (.5 HEB)
Dinner- Same as I should have had yesterday- 3 quorn sausages with AH Cous Cous and Fried Mushrooms
Snack- Mini Twister (2 syns) and Alpen Light Bar (.5 HEB) with Green Lemon Tea

Water: 1.5 litres
Exercise: 20 min walk

Hope today is better for you than yesterday, my yesterday became rubbish once I got to the mosque for Laylat-ul-Qadr! You know what it's like, mithai left right and centre! :p oopsie daisy, I think I should be glad it was just those little orange balls and not a tonne of jalebi!

Walked past a Chand Raat poster near the market the other day, didn't get a chance to read it as it was really windy and it detatched itself from the railings as I got closer... but will have a look today :) I have a feeling Eid will be on Friday, but let's see what happens! No specific plans really, just cook, eat, go to other people's houses, eat, wash up, go somewhere else, eat, wash up, lol! Will this be your first Eid on SW? xxx

It's a good thing I don't really like mithai - only jalebis :)
I started SW in November last year and I think I did the other Eid and just stuck to Red days and had the lamb. Not sure what the plans are yet for this one as OH is working on the weekend and hasn't requested the day off for Friday, so will have to wait and see. I have no outfit that fits me this Eid, so that's why I was wondering about the Chaand Raat event.

Yesterday was a 100% day and hope to have another good one today. Got up this morning to put on some new clothes on instead of my regular jeans to take the kids to school, but found that all my size 14s are now too big for me. I put on a skirt (which I thought would fit) and it's falling off me- a great feeling :) My OH even complimented me on my trousers and said he never thought my bum would get this small (it's a good thing I'm in a good mood today).

Anyways....another Green day today:

Breakfast- Onken Fat Free Vanilla Yogurt (full pot again!!!) with fruit
Thank goodness it's the last pot I have and don't think I'll be buying anymore as it's too tempting to just have a little.

Lunch- Fried Egg, Baked Beans, SW Chips

Snack- Grapes and an Apple

Dinner: Mushrooms with Pasta and crabsticks (HEB)

Snack - 2 Alpen Lights (HEB) with Green Lemon Tea, Mini Twister (2 syns)

Water: 1.5 litres
Exercise: None

Lunch-Bowl of Veg Soup and an omellete filled with spring onions, peppers and cheese (HEA)
Snack- Activia FF yogurt with frozen blueberries
Dinner: Crabstick (HEB) vegetable stir fry with 1/2 pack of Low Fat Super Noodles

well done on your 100% feels good to be in control doesn't it.

Fantastic news about the jeans I can only dream of 14's at the minute :( and at least he appreciates your bottom :D

keep up the good work x

Soccermom: Well I lost a bit of that control last night- the chicken kebabs and naan/pepsi were too tempting and had to have some! Had a really bad stomach ache (gas from the pepsi maybe) and bad poo this morning (sorry for all the detail)- hope it flushed all out of my system!!! Today will be even worse as we are going out to some friends house and will be there for most of the day for Eid. Going to have a neutral morning/lunch and then enjoy the dinner there and be good on Sat/Sun/Mon with less syns and hopefully that should be enough to repair the damage!

10st10: I did end up going to the market (who knows we may have been there the same time). I figured on going there while everyone was fasting and there wasn't as much rush. Ended up buying 2 nice embroidered purses a bargain for £2!!! They are gorgeous. Wanted to get an outfit, but didn't want to spend more than £30 so was really limited with the choice and the sizes. Came back a little disappointed as it seems I'm still almost at the top range for the ready made suits. Think the lady was saying I was a size 40 or maybe even a 42 in the suits, but the ones I saw were not really nice. Will just wear one of the one I have (although it is a bit big). Next time I need to shop earlier!

So a neutral morning/lunch today and not sure what day I'm following yet:
Breakfast- Activia FF yogurt poured on to a bowl of fruits
Lunch- Omellete with peppers, onions, cheese (HEA) and 2 quorn sausages
Snack- Fruit
Dinner: Eid party food and that includes a piece of Costco cake I'm taking with me :)

Water: 1.5 litres
Exercise: none

Eid party yesterday...ate so much....and not only that, but I stayed the night there at my friends place, so today hasn't gone brilliant either. Hope to draw a line and start fresh from tomorrow. WI is tomorrow, so just hope by some miracle I STS for this week!!!

I wouldn't be at all surprised if you've STS hun or even lost, as you've probably pulled it back overall from your hols! I walked 22 miles of coastline today for Macmillan! It was a fantastic day and the weather has been very kind to us! I didn't stick to plan today but felt I needed the energy bars and isotonic drinks and probably burnt them off anyway! It'll be interesting to see what the scales show Monday! My legs are feeling muscly so that's probably a 4lb gain then! lol!X

10st10: It was great, but now feeling guilty for eating all that food! Well made a mistake and thought my WI was today as we had Friday off, but it's on Monday night. So much happier as I have today and most of tomorrow to stick to plan and try to pull a STS or maybe even get a loss?

Funcurls: Wow 22 miles- that is great!!! I really need to get back into walking (but the weather hasn't been great here). Good luck for tomorrow- will be looking out for your results :)

So today being extra good- Green Day
Breakfast- 42g All Bran (HEB) and skimmed milk (HEA), pear
Lunch- Fried Egg with Baked Beans and 2 Ryvita WG CrackerBread (2 syns)
Snack- Mini Twister (3syns) and Activia FF yogurt
Dinner: Vegetable Soup and 2 quorn sausages with fried mushrooms
Snack - 2 Alpen Lights (HEB) with Green Lemon Tea and if I'm still hungry some frozen blueberries

Water: 1.5 litres
Exercise: None
