NannyDoreen & Upndown's daily diaries

I don't even know what one of those is! X

When you log onto minis sometimes there are notifications. Usually `likes` Well one of mine was `reputation comment`. You don`t know who it comes from but I think it is for when people find you say `inspiring` helpful or something like that.

I found out how to do it. If you look on an entry someone has put on thread, at the bottom left of the page there is a star and a triangle.. If you click on the star of that persons post you can put a comment for that person. Usually something nice.

The triangle says `report post` which I guess means if there is something bad on it, like bad language or something like that. Hope that helps Serena

Afternoon Upndown. I wonder if you managed to do an SP day today.

Take care. Love Doreen xxx

I had eight hours in bed and didn`t wake all night. I would have stayed longer but my body is aching all over. I suppose some of it was the walking between stations and one particular part was a long walk from tube down to the hospital. Body magic.
The tests I had yesterday were nerve conductive tests where they send little electrical pulses through parts of your body. Some of it was a little painful but only lasted a second or two.
The other bit sounds awful but was ok. Long thin needles put into your muscle so they see the way it reacts on a screen. The doc did these in my legs, arms neck and back. It did not hurt but my muscles started to ache quite quickly.
Today - as I said my whole body aches especially upper arms neck and calves.
I have my other appointment and I am not sure whether to rest today and take pain killers or to move more to maybe ease the muscles. Any ideas?
The good thing is the condition they were looking for - which my sister has - I do not have. That I am extremely pleased about.

This is going to be another day on plan. I have 3 days to correct the rubbish I have had. I will resist syns like mad.
I have had 10 on plan days out of 12 this month but 2 dodgy days in one week. Not good.

Hope you all have a good day today. An on plan day of course. ;)

Yes you probably earned some body magic but I suspect the aching is from the nerve tests, if it made your muscles ache at the time, today it will be like the after effect of a lot of exercising. It may be a bit late now but if it were me, I'd do some gentle movement, more than keeping still but you could take the painkillers as well. For stiff muscles, they recommend alternate heat and cold, so you could try compresses if you have any bad aches.

Its really good that you now know for sure that you don't have that condition, one less thing to worry about and that can only be a good thing. Its not really surprising that you had a bit of a blowout this week, with two hospital appointments to wonder about but it wasn't major and I'm sure you can still turn it around, if you're on plan till weigh in. Even if its a STS, you've had good losses recently and a week 'on hold' won't be the end of the world. Just make sure none of those naughty rolls find their way into your house! :)

Hope you've had a restful day to give yourself a chance to recover and that you get another good sleep tonight. xx

I've been wondering too and I really hope there isn't too much snow up that way Linda! My sis rang earlier and said they've had quite a lot and they're south of you, though quite high up. Take care if you're out and about and hope you get to pop in later. xx

What a lovely post Linda. I have done a fair bit of moving today, including a little trot around Tesco. No rolls though.
I have just spoken to the sister that has the condition that I didn`t want and she was over the moon when I told her. She was in London too as it happens and has spent most of today in bed. Poor Val,

I am planning to take a sarnie with me for tomorrows appointment in case it is needed. and a banana or two. Just enough to keep the sugars steady if I am there a while.

Makes sense now but unfortunately I can't do any of those things in the app. Ggggrrrr! X

Excellent forward planning. I will be thinking of you Doreen and keeping my fingers crossed (when I'm not busy changing nappies or playing) that it goes quickly and you aren't kept waiting a minute longer than need be. Sending a special hug (((Doreen))) for tomorrow. Your Mins friends will be with you in thought xxx

I did enjoy the coffee Cloudy.

Kathy, I used to take nytol and have in the past had night nurse too.
I get so tired, don`t know why, then fall asleep in chair around 7pm for say an hour and then cannot sleep.
Will fill you all in on the tests tomorrow. Very weird.

Must admit, Doreen, Nytol never made the slightest bit of difference to me at all. I'm quite resistant to any form of medication but NN just seems to do the trick. It is quite pricey though, isn't it but I usually buy the chemist's own version and it's two pounds cheaper. Anyway, it sounds like you definitely didn't need anything last night and let's hope it's the same tonight too. Brilliant news that you slept really well. :) Even better news that you don't have the same condition as your sister. What a relief for you! Think you must have been very brave, having those tests. I know you said they weren't but they sounded awful!!

We'll all be thinking of you tomorrow, hoping everything goes smoothly and that you're ok. Never you mind about the rolls this week - you've had more than enough to contend with!! Surprised it's not brandy, never mind bread rolls!! Take care. Kathy xx

Have just had a couple of phone calls, one from Flynn and one from Faye,
Flynn said his Mum just put the phone in his hand :) but we found quite a lot to talk about including he has started Kungfoo. Same as his sister but in different classes.

Faye had loads to talk about and, we had a lovely chat and a laugh. They are both so lovely. I must get my son to put a picture of them on here next time I visit.

Well, having a coffee then bed shortly. Hospital for 10am. Only 30mins in the car so not too bad.

Night all, and you to Upndown.

It is free Serene. I usually only have a couple of tablespoons with a couple of eggs. No superfree on the breakfast but very rarely do anyway.

Ah the hospital. I got there at around 9.40 and a guy in the car park gave me his ticket as he was leaving. Good start.
By the time I get to the Clinic I am getting very anxious but reception was busy. I went to the nurses room and spoke to the Staff nurse who was under the impression my notes were not there. Thats ok I said, I will go home. Anyway it turns out that my appointment is 10am next Wednesday. Silly me.
Anyway on talking to this nurse about how I was feeling she decided to arrange for me to be seen at 9am next week instead of 10am and has written it on the letter, also she will be there too. Has also arranged for me to see the doctor very soon after the eye examination. She saw me relax as she told me this. Lovely lady eh?
I am so lucky that this happened because I was feeling bad.
I went back to the car park and was able to pass the ticken I had been given to somebody else. An ill wind and all that,

Have a good day Serena, sorry for the long story.

Well, that sounds like it all turned out for the best then, Doreen! At least you know you'll have the support of that lovely nurse now, next week and that you won't have ages to wait to see the doctor after the examination. Good job it was a short journey too! :) Bet you were glad you didn't have to pay for that parking ticket too, with it ending up such a short visit! :D Easy to do, getting mixed up over dates, especially when you have a few on the go, all within a short time scale.

My partner is a driving instructor and he's even had pupils booking him to take them for their test and, when they turn up at the test centre, all ready to go (after an hours practise), the examiner's told them it's the wrong day!! And they're only 17 and 18 year olds so what hope will they have when they reach our age?!! :D

Anyway, glad you're feeling better about things now. Maybe time to resurrect those brandy and Babychams!! Haven't seen those for ages! Babycham, Cherry B, Pony - the little drink with the big kick. Definitely showing my age now!

Right - take care and have a good night's sleep - hopefully. xx

I only bought them because I thought it would be easier for the hospital. I did put the other 4 in the freezer but it don`t take long to defrost them. It would help me if you could buy one or two soft rolls, but they are always in sixes. Anyway as you say it is done. I didn`t have a bad day today as I ate all the rolls last night. Not gonna buy anymore.
Time getting on so off to bed. Goodnight.

Hey dont worry too much xx im having a takeaway tonight as been so busy today x x
