Nice to see you back, Linda (the Cloudy version). Hope you're feeling much better now. Hope Flynn is better too, Doreen! Just been catching up on all the goss. This thing called 'work' really gets in the way of socialising! :D xx

Is that it?? No lunch? Aren't you hungry? I'd be starving on that.
We're having pork loin chops today too 

Funny enough Cloudy, I was hungry when I ate the egg and toast, had the soup because it was new to me.
Not hungry so no more today.

Hmm, well I'm a little confused because I was reading on my phone earlier and all I could see was your breakfast and dinner... no lunch or anything else. Looking back now I'm on laptop, it looks totally different, so you must have wondered what I was on about lol.
Anyway, its good not being hungry and wow, you've had a very low day then, now I've seen your update.
I love soup, its so filling and so good for you with all that superfree (or speed or whatever you want to call it.... veg hehe). Glad you enjoyed it too xx

lol. I don`t think I altered it but you never know as I am tired.

I must be honest Cloudy I was not looking forward to BNS red pepper soup, but it is really nice. I didn`t make a lot because I only had 1/2 BNS but will definitely make it again. Got some for tomorrow and BNS/carrot on the hob waiting to be blitzed. It may be a soup day tomorrow after breakfast, though I guess I should at least cook the pork chop.

Will check to see how everyone's day has gone in a mo - felt a bit flat this morning - no reason - so gave myself a talking to - did a few house jobs - made a slow cooker meal- planned the week's meals and did food shop - picked the girls up from school - took them swimming (I didn't go and won't go till I lose more weight!) Here's my food - shd have posted my food plan earlier to keep me on plan but forgot!

Been thinking about why I keep falling off the SW wagon - when I think the plan suits me, is flexible, offers variety, is healthy etc and nothing comes to mind except that I'm greedy love fatty, sugary stuff in great quantities!

But since I've put myself on strict rations since yest morning - I don't feel hungry but still want to bend the rules - so had an extra slice of bread today and more fruit than planned!

So maybe the answer is that I like to break the rules!? If that proves to be the case - perhaps I need to post my planned food for each day (as Doreen suggested - so thx for that!) then have a few extras - so I feel I've had a unplanned naughty treat! Wonder what a psychiatrist wd make of that?! Will try that from 2moro and see how it goes!

b: 1 slice toast and marmite, pear (really enjoying the bread)
l: tinned salmon sandwich (1 slice bread) with salad, apple
d: pork casserole, cabbage, carrots, celery, onions

Food plan for Thurs 29 Jan:

b: 1 slice toast, marmite, 1 piece of fruit
l: 2 boiled eggs, salad leaves, tomatoes, cucumber, celery, 1 slice bread
d: chicken will choose one of Kathy's recipes, cabbage, red pepper, green beans

If you need a hand eating any soup.... I'm on call :)
I think the problem is viewing on phone, I've had it with a few other people too over time but not for a while. Not a problem, I often catch up on laptop when i can. xx

I think there is a bit of a rebel in you (me too) and that could well be it.... it is a good idea to post your food ahead and then bend the rules a little hehe. Lets hope it works!! Will be keeping a close eye on you and fingers crossed :cross:

I know it is stacey but have recently posted to somebody else who is lisa. 2 lvl tbs of sunflower seeds are a b. If you want to syn them 28g is 7.1/2 syns. They are all quite high. It depends really what you would use your b on.

You have got your name at the bottom of your page which I had not noticed before so you won`t have to keep typing it in.

I love seeds, nuts and most dried fruits but not as much as bread & choc so wd rather spend my heb and syns on those!! But if I ever get to target wd like to think I cd add those to my food occasionally!

Wow Doreen that is a low day! Isn't strange that sometimes we're not hungry!

Blimey Doreen - reckon that 2lb gain has disappeared after today - and 1 more day to WI - well done!xx

I would rather have bread than nuts too. Although I do like sesame seeds.

Yes Linda, that was a low day. I had everything prepared to cook but after having the soup, 2 cups, I was not hungry.

I liked your food for today. See you planning for tomorrow too. Hope it helps you to stay on plan.
We are greedy, love food, that is why we are on here every day hoping to get some sort of help from out minis friends. Love the part about unplanned naughty treats. :D They will always taste best.

I am going out tomorrow to see my niece. We are going into town so we can have a good catch up over coffee.
I am going to have a decent breakfast and take some soup with me which I can have when we get back to the house. Will see brother Albert too when we get back to the house.

I am gonna have a quick coffee then off to bed.

I am so glad you ladies are here to help. Some people just don`t understand. Love to all. xxx

Yes a very low day Doreen - enjoy ur day out 2moro - handy to take the soup - I'd like the recipe when u have a chance or point me in the right direction if it's on here or somwhere online.

Yes I'm with u about Minis - it's really helping me - and know I'd have given up long ago and gained a lot of weight without u all xx

My version of the soups.

BNS & Red Pepper Soup.

1 BNS around 800g as it comes.
4 red peppers
1 onion.
4 chicken oxo cubes
1ltr of boiling water.

Cut BNS in pieces. Just take the seeds out and leave the skin on,
Cut the peppers up , don`t have to be too small.
Cut up the onion.

Put BNS pepper & onion in a good size pan, oxo in hot water, pour over and bring to the boil then simmer.
I let it go for a couple of hours because of the skin (extra fibre)
When cooked blitz. I always let it cool first and sometimes I take some of the liquid out as it is easier to blitz.

You have the salt of the oxo cubes but I did add a little when all done.

BNS & Carrot Soup My way

about 800g BNS
4 Large carrots. (never weighed them and sometimes use lots of smaller ones)
1 onion
4 oxo chicken & 1 litre of boiling water.

Deseed & cut up BNS leave skin on
cut up carrots, if they are good ones I leave the skin on these too
Cut up onion
Put stock in

Boil then simmer for a couple of hours Blitz.

Sometimes when I am reheating a portion I put in a little curry powder, or a a few chilli flakes.

My son in NZ puts chilli in when he cooks his.------- His has home grown green pumpkin and stores them during the off season so very cheap. Julie grows her own peppers too. Thrifty.
