just got back and had a brill time, a bit over awed at all the stuff but managed to spend quite a bit. I love scrapbooking and am doing the project life this year, so got lots of pix of food which I've eaten...how sad am I?
Lunch was 3 egg omelette and beans, as I'm starving. Ialso called at Aldi and bought some of the Harvest Morn light bars, they're 3 syns per bar if not used as HB but I love a touch of sweet after a meal so they'll be great if I can manage to only eat one at a time!
For tea we may go to the chinese, if I only have half chips, half rice and curry sauce, how many syns do you think that may be? The rice will be free if I only have boiled but no idea on the rest!!

Hi girls, I`m still here. The weekend was not what I expected. As faras I knew I was going to the dance competition to help with Flynn because he gets bored. So had breakfast before I went and took some frozen fruit & rice for during the day. Didn`t work out like that.
Near the end of the day, looking forward to coming home and have my chicken DIL says `why don`t you come back to ours?` Anyway lets cut it short, they wanted me to go on Sunday too, so went to their house in their car (left mine at the school) then went back next day. Of course I had nothing with me. Loved seeing the children, in fact it was great, but diet mmmmmmmmmm.

This coming Friday I am going to Haverhill as my GD is having a birthday party on Saturday and Mum wants some help.
Fine.
Then when at their house Saturday night they were whispering and I heard my name mentioned. So asked what the problem was. Nothing really but

After the party could I not go home until Wednesday - Son going to Birmingham for a week and DIL working Mon to Wed 5am to 3pm travelling and working. Take kids to school in the mornings & pick them up Mon & Tues. They are so disorganised you wouldn`t believe.

DIL Mum coming here to have hair cut, (mad woman) 1.1/2hrs drive, she is staying with me and was going to go up to Haverhill Sat and come back Sunday in my car then drive on Monday to her house. Now I am not coming home she is panicking cause she will have to drive behind me to Haverhill then Sunday from Haverhill to Southery to her house. She has a Sat Nav.
She says I am alright driving all over(me that is) and she can`t do it. I told her the only reason I can is because I do and that she should basically just get on with it. She says she is older than me so I don`t know what it is like. I am 69 this month and she was 70 in April. Omg she drives me mad.
I have no problem going to look after the children in fact I love it (apart from the fact that there is always lots of ironing, and of course I do some of it each day) .

By the way Mandy, no medals this time at dance, even tho she is very good, there were much better dance schools at Royston Festival than there was at Huntingdon.
GD is changing dancing schools soon to a much better one ------------ but that is another story.

Heck! You're in for a busy time, I know you love being with your grandkids, but don't let them take you for granted - sorry if I've read it wrong.
Last weekend sounds lovely! Times like that are for enjoying, not worrying about food :)
As for the age thing, I couldn't believe it when you said you were 69  you have a very young outlook and I always think we're the same age, maybe your dil's Mum has a much older outlook? Driving so far for a haircut is MAD!!

Morning Mandy, I do know it really sounds like they take advantage of me and I suppose to a certain extent they do. But I always say to them if you don`t ask you don`t get.

Other thing is I can`t bear the thought of Mad woman looking after them, she has no idea how to treat children. The way she is with them a lot of the time is not always good. Too much trouble for her I guess. You would never believe she has had 4 kids of her own. Grandchildren are VERY special - not to her tho`.

Oh - I don`t feel 69 either. Maybe about 50 - most of the time.

Doreenx

She is a very selfish person and I can`t be like that, I suppose I learnt that from my Mum.
