NannyDoreen & Upndown's daily diaries

Hi - here's how my food turned out today - WI today - lost 2lbs - now on Week 2 of Kay's salad challenge: No brekkie L: chopped bacon salad - ff yog and strawbs T: chicken, rice (HEB) salad, ff yog and more strawbs (a few from the garden - with some from the shops!!)

Good food! Bet the homegrown ones were nicest. Mine have almost finished now but throwing lots of runners out, which I must get around to pegging into pots to start off some new ones for next year.

Thx - yes home grown were good but shop ones nice too - love that strawb runners give us loads of free plants! They're expensive in the shops aren't they? Hope ur day goes well x

Good day Upndown, you're doing brilliantly on this weeks Challenge. You really should have a great result on Monday morning, can't wait to see it.
I'm pooped (or something similar) so heading off to read my Kindle for a bit, until my eyelids win the battle. Night x

Hi - I missed this post yesterday - but went to bed quite early and I'm about to go again - feeling tired this week - bit annoying as the weather is so good - and I'm flagging by 8 o'clock!! See u were last night too - maybe we're missing our choccy nutrients LOL!

Ur doing well on the challenge - I enjoy them but will be glad when I have the freedom to eat what I want next week - but v grateful to Kay as the challenge has got me back on track (altho I flunked it one day!)

Keep wondering when Doreen is coming back - hope ur well and enjoying urself xx

I've had one of those weeks that are exhausting but I don't seem to have done that much, if you know what I mean. In and out a lot, always rushing around but can't quite see what I've achieved, even though I have. Anyway, enough of that.
Know what you mean about the choccy, I can't quite give it up and 4.5 of my syns nearly every day are used on three squares of Dairy Milk, as that is just enough to keep the cravings monster happy and stop me bingeing.

Same re Doreen... do hope she is having a good time and its that that is keeping her away. Hopefully she'll arrive soon and regale us with her weeks adventures :)

Oh ps. I'm down 2lbs this morning, which is partly still from finishing the Salad Challenge on Monday but I'm really pleased with it as its start of TOTM for me, which usually means a few lbs on for a week, so I wouldn't have been surprised with scales showing a gain, even though I've been 100% on plan this week and still lots of salads. :)

Have a super day ladies and speak soon x

Hi and yes I know exactly what u mean about that 'busy doing nothing' feeling - I seem to live my life like that somehow!! But if keeping busy is helping us to eat less - bring it on! Ur doing really well and must be so pleased with all u've lost - doesn't it feel good - even great hey!

I can't wait for August to arrive as we're off on hols - but bit concerned now that I won't be at target - and as I'm bound to put weight on - the battle will begin again when I get back - never mind I'll do what I can to lose as much as poss b4 hand!! This is deja vous for me - our last break was in October and I got down to 10st 7 - then on hol had a gain and the overeating carried on till Jan1!! Result more than a 2st gain  Determined not to repeat that!!

Hi to Doreen - hope all's well!!

I promise I'll kick your butt and nag, nag, nag if you gain lots and DON'T knuckle down to it after your hols :D

We aren't having a holiday at all this year, well, nothing planned as its been a difficult year for various reasons but in some ways I'm glad, as don't think I'd trust myself to go away and not go totally mad! I really really want to shift this weight AND keep it off. I lost nearly five stone a few years back doing Dukan diet but couldn't face doing it again, it didn't prepare me for the 'afterlife' lol and i just went straight back to how I used to eat. With slimming world I've gradually changed the way I cook and shop, we still eat really well and that is going to be for life hopefully, as long as I don't buy too much chocolate, icecream, biscuits or cheese. lol.

Gosh u did well on the Dukan - cdn't get my head around that one! I agree that SW is more a real life diet which hopefully we can adjust for life!

I'll gladly take ur butt kicking offer! I promise to post here the day I come back from hols - and get down to the biz of getting to target - may even do a challenge to help me to focus!

It worked, obviously but Dukan wasn't family friendly in the way that SW is... basically my whole family just eat slimming world meals now, though they get extras too, so they don't moan too much ;)
I'm really looking forward to cooler weather lol, as I read through Kay's soup challenge and really think I could go for that in a big way, I LOVE soup! I know I 'could' do it now but its been a tad warm recently, so will stick with salads for now.

Yes SW is great for the family and suits us too - I did one of the soup challenges - I love soup too - v filling and u can have as much as u need to fill our tums - great recipe for success!

Thanks Bubbly.... I'm pleased as its totm for me. I'm not actually doing the salad challenge as such this week but I have still been eating lots of salad and more or less on plan so that helped. :)

We're hoping Doreen is having fun with family.... and will be back very soon. She'll have lots of our scribble to catch up with when she gets here!

Ooops - was just off to bed - then remembered I haven't listed my food - so here goes:

Brunch: boiled egg salad, banana
Tea: smoked mackerel salad, 2 x small ff yog with berries

Strangely for me - wasn't hungry today - hope that doesn't mean I'll be ravenous all weekend!! Hope we all have a great on plan weekend!

Night Linda, you've been so good with your food! Hope he Hunger Monster has the weekend off! X
