Nefertari's journey to lose 130lbs

Morning N, that's what I'm going to call you on here lol How are you doing today?

I had one of the spaghetti packs yesterday and I think it was the first time I tried a new pack. I put quite a bit of pepper and garlic in and it was fairly spicy! Nice though. I thought it was because I put in more pepper than I realised but I'm wondering if the new pack has got a bit spicier. Will try it today before I put pepper in. You must really find it spicy if you need water breaks!

The lemon bar used to be my favourite, I think the texture won it for me but then I really got into maple bars. Since the new truffa bar though that's been a clear winner! Chocolate brownie, nom! Feels quite naughty lol

I'm good! Have stayed off the scales today like a good girl!

Day off Uni today, thank God! I have work to do though so busy busy! I can't tolerate spicy food really - I can manage a tikka masala and the mild Piri-Piri chicken at Nando's! That's my limit!

How are you? X

I'm trying to stay away from mine until Wednesday now too. I might move them, if they're in the bathroom I step on them out of habit. If I move them somewhere else and only get them out on a Wednesday maybe I'll break that habit.

Lots of work for me today too. Planned to do a fair bit of MA stuff this week, not even touched it. Oops!!

Yeah. I think I will move mine too, Caz. Thats a good idea. Mine are in the hall and I always hop on after Ive been the the loo in the mornings. So if i PUT IT AWAY, and then make it so i would HAVE TO GET THEM OUT (lol) I may be less inclined to just hop on. it would give me some time to talk myself out of it, anyway. lol. Right, away they go!

Re: Nefertari's Slim and Save diary

You seem to have really changed your mind on it. I'm inundated with spaghetti packs lol

Re: Nefertari's Slim and Save diary

Blurgh! Can't stand them lol Might stick on ebay if no-one wants to buy or swap them. Can't stomach the vanilla or crispy shakes!

I hoped they'd taste like the chocolate shakes with crispy bits in but they taste completely different to me, different kind of chocolatey taste. Next order I'm getting a chocolate shake for nearly every day lol

I do love the chocolate shakes. Might just order them and an assortment of bars next time!

Thinking I'm going to do 3 packs plus protein in the long run. It's cheaper for me to pick up a couple of tins of tuna and some eggs each week than to pay for 4 packs a day. Really poor at the moment! £9 to last until 15th March after buying shopping etc. Ridiculous! This is what comes from saving up for so many holidays :sigh: Totally worth it though! :D

The chocolate ones are lush, beelishy! I ordered 44 in my month supply haha!

Yummy spaghetti in my tummy! I'm spacing my packs out today: 8, 12, 3, and 6. Don't want anything too late as it might impact on my WI tomorrow! Can't have that!

I have tuna as my protein this weekend so will be on two shakes and a bar as well as the tuna. Smothered in vinegar - Yummy!

Going to have a little 'stocktake' of my packs and see what I have in terms of doing four packs. I think I'm running low on spaghetti but have two chilli (which I haven't tried) and tonnes of sweet porridge and an oatmeal. Should be enough to keep me on four packs for most of the remaining three weeks before I order again. Will just be three packs plus protein from the next order!

Stay away from masala -- it's a cream sauce. 'Dry' chicken tikka (pieces) or tandoori chicken (on the bone) is a lifesaver on this diet as it's available in almost all Indian restaurants and always serviced with lettuce.

Looks like I am having a Cambridge day! Had a lovely Cambridge Diet Strawberry Shake this morning. Very refreshing. So will probably stick with the theme and have Cambridge Malt Toffee bar for lunch and a Chocolate Mint Shake after my green and white meal. Feels like old time. I don't know whether someone emailed me or whether I dreamt it, delirious with the cold but I have somehow got it into my head that they won't be getting more Praline bars in for 3 weeks, so thinking of ringing my CDC and ordering a month's worth of CD as I am really missing the CD Original Porridge and Strawberry shakes. It really was just the praline bars, and the attraction of a change, that swayed me over to S&S. Think I will always be a Cambridge girl at heart. Also, I like the way you can gradually go up the plans to come off the diet and introduce more foods slowly to keep the weight off this time.

Turned a corner with this dreadful cold. Lovely sunny weather these days and the puppy is sleeping!

You say you are thinking of doing 3 packs.........and then counting out 4 packs, which are you doing? You seem to change your mind several times a day! If you took money out of the equation, which diet would you prefer? Just think that would be one way of looking at it -- a starting point at least, which is ideal?

I can understand completely, I find 3 a day cheaper and more managable too. I've started buying the veg and chicken and freezing it, even buying ready frozen, so it's a lot cheaper especially if I can buy in bulk. Though, that makes it cheaper but I worked out it's about £1.10 per meal so only slightly cheaper than a pack. It is even cheaper though when I have something like a tuna salad or egg and swede chips but I tend to stick to the same two meals at the moment - roast veg and chicken and chicken stir fry lol

Night-owl from what Gem said, I think she's saying she's going to have a look and see how many she has left at the moment and then will do 4 a day for the rest of that but then from the next order she'll just do 3 a day with the protein meal. Maybe I read it wrong but there didn't seem to be any confusion or mind changing there!
