NEW Kays Salad Challenge - APRIL to SEPT

My appetite goes a bit funny at totm- normally I feel like I need carbs but at the mo small meals are satisfying. Odd.
Not a problem, I'm used to discussing toilet issues! I have IBS so generally a bit all over (again, totm throws this too!) but i have felt fine so far. Shall up the peppermint tea just in case ;-)
I should have a choice for lunch so I was thinking I'd go for a subway?! Then id just have to syn the sauce/dressing (sweet onion, my fave!)...
I may need Sunday as a day off though I'd prefer not to have one at all. It's up in the air whether I will be going out for tea with the in-laws-to-be or not but so close to the end I'd love not to lol x

Subway is a fab choice :D and oh no Sunday :sigh: can't stop anyone and wouldn't but its a day before weigh in, always good to have that one on plan if possible but I know we can't stop our social life either so its ok hun, if you need to go it will be fine, just drink loads of water to flush away whatever naughties your gonna eat if you do go in the end :p xx
 
Thanks Kay, I'm glad I'm getting it right! My salad was really lovely and there was definitely plenty of green stuff underneath ;) I also had some green stuff with my lunch :D xx

Now your going Turbo style with 2 salads a day :D you wanna go up to 3 litres a day ? then you'll be joining me and Upndown :p hehe xx

It sounds bad but I really hope we don't lol. Im giving it my all this week for a good loss ;-) We are going to a big animal sale type thing where breeders meet before the potential meal, so if we buy an animal we will have to go straight home..... Lol
If we do, I shall pick very wisely!
 
Just a quick question, is canned tomato soup definitely ok on a red day or would it need to be syned? x

Is that home made or shop bought ? Shop bought has hidden sugars in them and some have added cream, depending which brand you are going for ? and whether it was reduced fat ? xx

It's shop bought, Tesco healthy living so reduced fat one xx

Yep Healthy Living one should be fine, have you tried WW one's I really like their soups :) xx

They would work better on the GREEN/EE days, but if your short of options then it will be ok, soup is much better than having carbs :p, but tomato one out of the two is a better choice on Red :D xx

Ha I'm afraid not, there would be lots of little Arthur's running around if we did! It's just reptiles and bugs :-/ on Sunday, I'd quite like a new millipede though!
Me and Arthur had big cuddles after my walk today :) x

Oh no, I'm not a fan of reptiles and bugs :eek: hope they don't bite your little buns . Aww wish I could cuddle Arthur . Yep the soup are ok for this challenge but not for the soup one, more about that on Sunday when I post the new guidelines ;) xx
 
1.Date: Tues 23/09/14
2.Cycle : Get Fit
3. Day of Challenge: 2
4. Plan: EE
5. Water/NAS: 2.8l but only one green tea this evening, cannot fit any more in!
6. Carbs: Sml portion of brown rice with vegetable chilli tonight
7. Exercise: Lots of walking but not too strenuous
8. Total syns: Extra light mayo (2) Dairy Milk 4.5
9. SALAD: Tuna and hard boiled egg, lettuce, onion, tomato, cucumber, beetroot.

I might need tomorrow off Kay, sorry but I won't know until the morning.

Well done L :p fab day 2 hun ! Your doing amazing on 2.8L that's brilliant, you only need 2L for Get Fit :). Well done on hitting all your targets, syns and exercise too. Your tuna salad sounds well yummy. You have to promise me at least one pic this week, I know your salads are well delish :D. No worries hun about the day off, if I'm not around just post on here and I'll know you won't be updating tomorrow. I was just saying to Rosie, even on planned days off, its good to try and make wise choices where possible, just so all your hard work doesn't go to waste in the week. I know that you will L, you were so sensible yesterday at the café :p, I know you'll do super ! xx

UPDATE - for WED 23/09/2014 - DAY 3 OF CHALLENGE

THE GET FIT CYCLE - DAY 3

Today is a RED day. No carbs are allowed. Your food for the day should be packed with fibre and protein only. You must have one Salad as a Maincourse in the day. Today is a Rest Day so no exercise. 2 Litres of water to drink minimum. 10 syns allowed maximum.

THE TURBO CYCLE - DAY 3

Today is a GREEN/EE day. A small amount of carbs are allowed in one meal only with a side salad. You need to eat 2 Salads in the day. Your other Salad should be a Maincourse. Today you must exercise for 1 hour. 3 Litres of water to drink minimum. 10 syns maximum if you need them.
