New year, fresh start, new target and new goals

Your breakfast this morning on IG looked amazing!
Dont worry about the choc...is the craving as a result of MN?
the gym work would have minimised damage and todays eats sound yum! :) xx

Thanks, I really enjoyed it. Never had smoked salmon before, but I've definitely been missing out. I think that's all it was, as I feel like it's out of my system now and I've been wanting it all weekend.

Gym was great I've started this workout plan by Jamie Eason : Livefit 12 week plan. It gives you workouts for 4 days a week in the first phase. So trying to build this in along with my running. Hopefully I'll eventually be a toned fit freak.

Ooooooh what is this? Is it easy to follow/quick to do?

I was going to do some weights after my spin class later... not the free weights but just start doing maybe 2 x 12 reps on some of the machines maybe! x

Its really easy to follow if you google jamie eason livefit 12 week plan it'll come up, its on the bodybuilding website.

I want to do weights! But I wouldn't dare in the gym! I have to make do with my kettlebell and a couple of dumbells!

Same here Becki, my OH came in with me for the first 10 minutes to show me properly and help me with a couple of the machines, and I did feel concsious of people glancing over, but I think thats what everyone does and they probably aren't doing it in a horrible way, it's just my mind works over time, thinking they'll be like "look at her, she can't even lift that" lol

I was always the same when I first started the gym, and found that generally when people look around, it's literally just glancing at something other than their feet or some numbers on a machine... I only found that out because I realised I was doing it! :)
And so what if you gorged on chocolate for one night... I've found the best thing to do with cravings is give in, otherwise I end up eating other 'rubbish' in compensation for it! You've done it, but you've not continued the cycle and got back on plan :) I did the same thing on Monday night with general 'rubbish' but since then I've had 4 syns in two days, so I've balanced it out I think :D lol

7 miles last night :)
Scales this morning are now a full lb up from previous weigh-in. I can only think it's all the activity at the gym and running that is causing water retention. I don't feel bloated or anything and i'm definitely looking no fatter, hopefully it'll start shifting soon!!!

It's def the exercise pal - you've stepped it up a lot! Are you drinking enough water?

Well done with 7 miles last night!! That's epic!!! I want to try and do 8 tomorrow morning so hopefully my ankle holds out if I get it strapped up tonight :) Was that with the club or solo?
x

It was with one of the girls from the club, we thought we'd only done 5 until we checked strava out.
Ooo good luck with that. Got my fingers crossed for you. probably not getting enough water, will buy a big bottle at lunch and get it down me.

Really struggling with staying on plan today. Made great decisions all day but then completely fell apart after 8pm. Craved all things chocolate, probably are half the jar of Nutella off a tea spoon!

I hit the Nutella lady night too haha . I'm sure you can get your motivation back today. You are so good! anything yummy planned for today? Or weights session?

I've got running at the track tonight, 16 x 400m (as fast as you can) with 100m slow rest in between....
I've only done 2 weights sessions in the past week, and only for the fast I've struggled to move my shoulders, chest, arms in the past 5 days. Today is the first day they feel a bit more like it.... I'll have another go tomorrow and see how it goes...

Food is looking good today so far, and I've a chilli in the slow cooker for tea. With cauli rice hopefully.

I keep seeing people mention cauli rice... what is it? I'm very curious as people seem to love it! :)

It's literally grated cauliflower put in the microwave for a couple of minutes. I find it helps to reduce the amount of carbs I'm eating

I'm starting to look up ways to fuel runs without sugar, there's quite a lot of mixed info out there!

You don't use anything, do you? x

Not particularly no. I'm a bit rubbish with fuelling to be honest. Sunday I ended up exhausted and in need of a sugar hit every 5 minutes. Hence the epic diet fail.

I tend to have my regular porridge or quinoa porridge before running. But I could do with looking into more how to fuel up properly. I've been reading bits and pieces but everything says different. I've been looking at the body coach quite a bit on social media sites and his ideas / recipes are quite good.

I use half a cauliflower too :)

I'm trying diff things at the minute - going to take some nuts with me on Wednesday when I do 12 miles, to see if they help. But I'll only take them if I'm really struggling. Going to start taking coconut water instead of normal water too - apparently it's good! x
