Nicola's Cuba Countdown

I'm good thanks hunni, just getting organised for the day! i am hoping to start the 30 day shred at some point in the next few weeks (dependent on house move etc) so might come to you for tips!:D xxxx

Ooh it's great, the only tip I can give is not to be worried about how hard it is... it's fine, but it is challenging! :D x

Hey up Miss, where you been today? Awfully quiet!

Evening! I've been a busy bunny, only just home!! :D How's you today?

Today's been a good day in terms of food, exercise, and general niceness! :) Have just spent the evening visiting my friend who's just had the most gorgeous little baby boy and got loads of cuddles, so it was fab! I am pooped now though!! Ended up doing two lots of exercise today after thinking that Pilates was cancelled... couldn't shake my tiredness this morning so didn't do 30DS, but did go to the gym for 30 mins at lunchtime instead... and then when I got back to my desk I had an email informing me which room pilates was in this evening! Ooops! Dodgy memory! :D So I did that too, and as always, really enjoyed it - it's amazing how much I've improved and sit-ups are a doddle now! Although the plank on one leg did nearly kill me haha...

Today's summary...

Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs (really yummy extra golden yolked ones, well worth the extra pennies!)
Snack: Banana, Tea (0.5)
Exercise: 30 mins at gym (bike)
Lunch: Turkey & Salad with Syn-free dressing, Apple, Prawn Cocktail Hoops & Crosses (4)
Snack: 2 Satsumas, Tea (0.5)
Exercise: Pilates
Dinner (kind of!): Eton Mess made with half a punnet of strawberries, 1 crushed meringue (3) and 1 big squirt Creamfields Light Cream (1)

Summary: 0 x HEA, 0 x HEB, 8 Syns, 1.5hrs Exercise

Should probably try to get at least 1 HE in for the today but it seems pointless eating just to use them up when I'm not really hungry, will probably be starving tomorrow to compensate!! :)

Aww he must have been teeny-tiny! My friend's is 8 days old and just gorgeous! Properly broody now hehe! :D

Me too and I already have two of my own!! :D What's your friends called?

Oliver, which was already shortened to Oli before he was even born! :) How about your friend's? How old are your two? x

Finlay, not sure if he'll be known as Fin or not. Love it, Finlay is my little boys middle name too. I like Oliver, my little girl was nearly Olivia but its one of her middle names instead. :)

We have Lewis who is 6, 7 in August though. And Rachel is 3, 4 in October. Feel very blessed with my lot but I think I'll always have the pangs of broody!! At the moment there's no way we could afford a third! Are you planning babies any time soon? :) xx

Aw Finlay's a lovely name! :) And what a coincidence that it's your little boy's middle name too! 6 and 3 sound like lovely ages for your children, they must keep you busy though! I'd love to have kids soon as the biological clock is ticking loudly but unfortunately I'm missing the crucial element needed to make babies... a lovely Mr Nicola! :( However I am always on the lookout for potential candidates... considering speed dating so watch this space haha! :D

Evening all!

Hasn't it been a gorgeous day?! Was so pleased to finish work at lunchtime as was off to meet the girls from uni in a pub beer garden with their little ones! :D

Am off to London for the weekend tomorrow, so will be quiet until Sunday after this... I'm planning to use flexi syns for tomorrow night so I don't have to worry and can really let my hair down, as it's been a while! Although I've been drinking so little the last few months I'm probably going to have turned into a total lightweight! ;) I'm meeting up with my friend who I'm going to Ibiza with, and we've agreed that we'll go out for a healthy lunch tomorrow when I arrive (as we're both on the pre-Ibiza slim-down!), and won't let ourselves be naughty until tomorrow evening, to try and minimise the damage :)

So today....

Exercise: 30 Day Shred Level 1 Day 9
Breakfast: Mullerlight, Banana, 2 fried eggs (1), Tea (0.5)
Lunch: Grilled Sea Bass Risotto at the pub (going to count 10 for this to allow for any oil, was a drizzle of basil oil around the outside, but wasn't a creamy risotto so think that's the only synned bit)
Dinner: Smoked Salmon & Pea Pasta with 70g Philly Light (HEA) to make the creamy sauce
Snacks: 2 x Rocky Road Hifi Bars (HEB)

Summary: 1 x HEA, 1 x HEB, 11.5 Syns, 30 mins Exercise

Not a great day for superfree but am happy that I stuck to plan despite being out at the pub for lunch - my friend got this Ultimate Burger thingy and I had serious food envy! :D

Happy Weekend everybody!! x

Ps. Scales showed 11st 1.75lbs this morning after 30 Day Shred!!! :D Maybe I can get a loss this week even with the flexi synning evening?!

Nothing wrong with being a lightweight... less money and syns spent lol!

Haha this is true, and could be particularly useful in expensive London! :D

Morning all, final pre-London check-in! Scales say 11st 1.5lbs this morning - woo! Let's hope i don't undo all the hard work tonight :)

Breakfast: Smoked Salmon & Chive Scrambled Egg
Snacks: Hifi, M&S Chocolate crispies
Lunch: Out
Dinner: Out
Exercise: Dancing!! :D

Hello ladies! Well I've got 30 mins til my train gets back into Manchester and therefore 30 mins until the end of my 24 hours off plan :)

I was very good yesterday day once I got to London, we went to a Japanese restaurant and I had sushi followed by salmon teryaki, so relatively low syn but very filling and delish! The evening was naturally less good, we had a few tapas bits for dinner, and then the alcohol flowed! No kebab or anything at end of night though, we were angelic! ;) Bacon buttie this morning, and then nothing til I got on the train starving and gave in to the free snack box, biscuits and crisps in first class... Mmm :D But that's all polished off now, so no more rubbish to eat!

Don't think I'll want dinner tonight, just my bed... Very hungover!!

Back on it with a vengeance tomorrow to see if I can get a loss this week even after that lot :)

Hope you've all had fab weekends? Xx

Ah it really was, am suffering now though, so time to snuggle up on the sofa with the new series of UK & Ireland's Next Top Model! :D

Oh, and did sooooo much body magic with dancing last night, properly sweaty betty by the end haha! :D x
