Nicola's Cuba Countdown

I just add 2 eggs, 3 tbsp sweetener and the options - haven't tried any with yogurt yet! It's chocolatey enough, not exactly chocolate fudge cake though ;) How do you make yours chocolatey if you don't use Options? x

i haven't had any chocolatey lol

i just use scan bran, sweetener, cinnamon, eggs and a toffee muller.
have done the cherry bakewell one and also the carrot one. but never topped them - i usually have it to snack on thru the day or mix with fruit and yog.

bought lemon flavour to try the lemon one tomorrow but i'm def gonna buy options and try it with that....just wasnt sure if 1 sachet would be enough?

all trial and error with sw recipes eh lol x

I've just invested in some new orange and mint flavourings so I can try to make slightly orangier and mintier versions of the ones I've done previously with the flavoured options. Keep meaning to make the carrot one and the ginger one, bought some ginger this weekend so might try that one midweek :) x

i tried the carrot one without the all spice and it was nice. i've done it with and without the syrup so it was syn free and it was still edible lol

must get some quark to try...i never buy it cos i'm not sure what it's like.

i'm going to try the lemon flavour tomorrow as i've got some lemon and lime activia yogs so i'll throw one of them in.

i just do mine in a square container in the microwave but yours instantly looks better cos it looks real cake shape ;) hehe x

I do mine in a little casserole dish hehe! :D x

Evening all, hope you're all enjoying the sunshine? So pleased it came out just at the same time I finished work! :D

Tough day for slimming today... was at an offsite meeting at work, which would normally be bad enough in terms of lunches etc anyway, but in addition to that an integral part of the day was blind food tasting, so I had to try 12 different bowls of cereal over the space of the day!! I tried to eat as little as possible (maybe a spoon from each bowl) but I'd say that was a good chunk of syns once I consider that plus the sandwiches at lunch! I tried to make healthy choices like chicken and ham, had saved my HEB for the bread, and only had 3 sandwich triangles rather than 4, so hopefully that'll help to compensate a bit!! The one thing I did do really well though was to avoid the sweets and cakes - I allowed myself one single Galaxy Counter and that was it, despite there being all you can eat chocolates, sweets, and almost every kind of cake you can imagine (as well as unlimited cereal and cereal bars naturally, we were literally sat in the middle of a mock-up cereal aisle!).... and instead I snacked on the fruit platter :D That was pure torture though, the swiss rolls were calling my name about once every 2 minutes all afternoon!!

This evening I really have to get my tax returns done as I missed the deadline by not doing them yesterday, oops!! Luckily it's only the accountants' deadline rather than the HMRC one, but I'd still best get a wriggle on or else I'll be in trouble... what an enthralling prospect for an evening!! :(

So here's today's summary...

Breakfast: Banana, Mullerlight, Tea (0.5)
Snacks: Tea (0.5)
Lunch: 3 x Sandwich Triangles (HEB), Pineapple, Melon, Kiwi, Strawberries, Orange Segments, Diet Coke
Food Tasting: 3 Spoonfuls Rice Krispies, 3 Spoonfuls Honey Loops, 3 Spoonfuls Coco Pops, 3 Spoonfuls Krave (10 Syns?? No idea how to quantify these)
Snacks: 1 Galaxy Counter (1 Syn), Pineapple, Melon, Strawberries
Dinner: Savoury Rice Quiche (Beef, Peppers & Spring Onion - remembered to put the Cottage Cheese in this time, much nicer! :D), Peach, Fruit Salad

Summary: 0 x HEA, 1 x HEB, 15ish Syns

Now just to decide whether to have my first go at 30 Day Shred Level 2 this evening or not... won't be able to do anything in the morning as have to be in for an 8am meeting :(

Phew that was a long but productive evening!! 1 tax return done (the UK one, I started the Irish one and then the website crashed so I took that as a sign haha!), all my filing done (hadn't done it since December, oops!), 1 ebay sold item all packaged up and ready to send tomorrow, 1 birthday card written and stamped and ready to send tomorrow, bank accounts sorted out and holiday spends transferred into the right account ready for next week, Ibiza flights checked in for and bags booked (was going to go with just hand luggage and then thought sod it, I want to take all the lovely new size 12 clothes I've just bought without worrying about my luggage limit! :D), new to-do list for the week written, more bikini purchases picked up from M&S (I love their sales!!), work emails checked and responded to after being offsite all day.... phew, it's exhausting just typing it all out!! :D

Never got around to making the Eton Mess and the raspberries had started going mouldy where they'd got bruised today, so at least can knock that off my syns from today!

Time to get some sleep before tomorrow morning's early start (going to get about 5 hours sleep at this rate, early finish tomorrow me thinks!!)... and let's see what the scales bring in the morning :)

Night night all! xx

Blimey, exhausted reading it! Sounds like a busy day! Enjoy the week ahead, I'm sure it'll zoom past!

I am knackered this morning!! But on the plus side, the scales are saying 11st 0.5lbs!!!! :D

Amazing willpower yesterday and amazing result on the scales this morning. Well done you, missy!xx

Thanks lovely! :) Here's hoping it (or at least part of it) sticks for tomorrow's official weigh-in... I would so love to be in the 10s by this time next week!! :D

Here's today's summary...

Breakfast: All Bran Choc Crunch (HEB), Danio Bluberry (3), Tea (0.5)
Lunch: Savoury Rice Quiche, Pineapple
Snacks: Apple, Banana
Dinner: Homemade Beef in Oyster Sauce with Extra Lean Steak (from Sainsbury's - look like fillet steaks but about half the price and taste lovely!), Broccoli, Carrots, Spring Onions, 1tbsp Oyster Sauce (1), 1/2 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce, 1/2 tbsp Light Soy Sauce
Pudding: Strawberries with White Choc Quark (1)
Snacks: 200ml Chocolate Koko Milk (HEA)

Summary: 1 x HEA, 1 x HEB, 5.5 Syns

Here's dinner, photo doesn't make it look as good as it tasted! :D Although I need a good few pints of water now, it was quite salty with all that soy sauce and the last thing I need for tomorrow is water retention!!

And here's dessert, Strawberries & Cream (aka Quark with White Choc Options stirred through) :)

It really was! If it wasn't the night before weigh-in I could have eaten double! :D

Morning ladies!

Well it's ridiculously early as I'm up for a gym visit before a 9am meeting (still half asleep right now!), but I'm just so excited that the scales are still saying 11st 0.5lbs at home this morning! Please please please let some of that stick for tonight's official weigh-in! Who's the patron saint of dieters? Could do with offering up a few prayers! :D Star week bloating usually starts this afternoon so am hoping the gym this morning will negate any impact from that, damn womanly issues....

Wish me luck, will report back later! :D xx

Evening ladies! I'm very pleased to report a loss of 2lbs taking me to 11st 1lbs! :D I am so so nearly in the 10s! X
