Nicola's Cuba Countdown

Well.... today started well but didn't end so well haha!

Breakfast: Toast & Poached Eggs (HEB)
Snacks: Apple, Banana
Lunch: Uncle Ben's Rice Time Sweet & Sour (1.5 Syns)
Afternoon/Evening: ? x G&T (slimline), 1 x 175ml Rose Wine, 1 x Cosmopolitan
Dinner: Steak, Mushroom & Salad + a few chips (? Syns), Fishcake with poached egg (came with hollandaise sauce but scraped this all off) - (? Syns in total?)
Snack: Daim Bar (7.5 Syns)

Summary: 0 x HEA, 1 x HEB, ? x Syns, 0 x Exercise

Not my best day!! But back on it tomorrow morning, getting up and writing my menu plan for the week (if the hangover isn't too bad!) and going shopping for all the food I need. One day off in 4 weeks isn't too bad :D

Hope you've all had good days?? x

Just a heads up........these are actually 8.5 syns for the whole thing, the 1.5 syns listed is just the rice and NOT the sauce, the sauce is 7 syns!! I only found this out this week so just to warn you for future so you can count it in correctly.

And hello, just subscribing! :D We are a very similar weight now (I also would LOVE to see the 11's next week at weigh in!) but it's also been a slower journey for me, I am always slow to lose even sticking 100% to plan!!

Oh my god thank you for letting me know about that!! I've been eating them for a few years thinking they're a really good snack!! What a ridiculous way to show them on the website, like you'd ever buy one and not eat the rice and sauce together?! That's at least 60 syns in total for yesterday then, oops!!

Good luck getting into the 11s soon, it's such a fab feeling!! :D I had a while where I wasn't losing despite being on plan last year - bringing in the exercise this year seems to be helping me to get on a bit quicker, but still a slow journey in comparison to some! My little green eyed monster comes out frequently as group when people lose 5/6 lbs a week!!! x

Your so good i dont think ive ever done 4 weeks being really good i only last 5 days thn the weekend comes ha, not this weekend tho! Determined to be good :innocent0002: ha x

Haha that used to be me but the weight stopped coming off so I had to kick my weekend habit!! Now that's when I'm healthiest! :D x

Right have just sat down and planned my menu for the week using the magazines and cookbooks, so I'm all set for the big shop this evening and being set up for a week which will deliver a loss! :D Going to try out the Thai Red Fish Curry from the Taste of Asia book and the Mac N Cheese and Syn-Free Hoummous from the magazine, so hope they're all nice! I find I have to keep a bit of variety in my food or else I get bored and wander off plan...

Scales very kind to me this morning due to dehydration along haha - showing 11st 11.75lbs :D Know that will will soon be 1-2lbs more if I'm not very good for the rest of the week to compensate for yesterday's blowout!

So here is today's planned menu and exercise:

Breakfast: None - only got up at 11am! Lazybones me!
Lunch: Smoked Salmon Spaghetti (with fat free fromage frais to make a creamy sauce), a pot of Cherry Tomatoes, and a Banana & 2 Satsumas (the only fruit left in the bowl at this stage of the week!)
Exercise: Gym for an hour - 30 mins bike, 10 mins run, 10 mins rower, 10 mins weights
Dinner: Thai Red Fish Curry (2 syns) with Rice

Summary: 0 x HEA, 0 x HEB, 2 Syns, 1 hour exercise

Let's hope it's enough to pull it back and get me on track for a loss this week!! :D Didn't do very well with the evening snacks to use my A & B choices as was worried about my little kitty, but will def be eating them for the rest of the week.

Yeah it is a silly way to put them on the app, I agree! And what is in the rice to even make it 1.5 syns I wonder?! I just avoid stuff like this in general as they seem to hide so much crap into them!

I hear you on the green eyed monster at groups, not that I am not chuffed for people but they can seem to have nights out and everything and go off plan a little and STILL lose well - it's not fair! Lol. One cheat for me and I'd see a gain or STS!!!

Haha yes I suppose I should have known they were too good to be true, processed stuff is nearly always full of nasties!!

I'm the same, I have to be angelic to even achieve a 2lb loss, and 1 day off can easily result in a gain for me too - and it's not always the ones who have a lot to lose who get the big losses either - I'd love to know their secret!! :D

My little kitty has been out since the morning and hasn't come home (or eaten any breakfast before she went out so she must be starving) - am worried about her :(

She has finally returned, only 13 hours later!! Had me worried sick, how do parents ever cope when they first let their children out of their sight?!

What a naughty little minx, bet you were out of your mind with worry. So glad to hear she's home safe xx

Sophia has been very cuddly this morning so I've pretty much forgiven her for her little jaunt now :) I'd love to know where she got to - I was shouting her from 4pm and she only showed up at 11pm!!

Her going missing yesterday kind of messed up my plans, as I was meant to have gone and done my supermarket shop yesterday evening and then had planned a few snacks with my healthy extras, but I couldn't go out in case she came back, and I totally lost my appetite at the thought of her being missing, so didn't end up having any snacks after tea at all :( Today is going to be a bit more organised, and am having a rare green day.

Scales still showed 11st 11.75lbs this morning despite Friday's blowout, I've had a lucky escape! Just need to get another lb off now before Weds :D

Breakfast: Toast with Reduced Sugar Jam (HEB & 1 Syn)
Exercise: Gym for 30 mins on the bike
Lunch: Homemade Sushi with Veg (Cucumber & Peppers) (1 Syn for the slivers of smoked salmon I ate while making the Fish Sushi for tomorrow)
Dinner: Chips & Dips (i.e. SW Chips with Garlic Dip made with fat free yogurt and homemade Tomato Salsa) with a fake G&T (Slimline tonic with a squeeze of lime)
Snack: Ryvita Fruit Crisp & Chocolate Philadelphia (HEB & 3.5 Syns), Tabasco Cheese (HEA)

Summary: 1 x HEA, 2 x HEB, 5.5 x Syns, 30 mins Exercise

Well the sun is finally shining in Manchester, so I think it's time to get my milkbottle legs out and get them a bit of exposure to the sun!! :D

The question is, do I dare get into a bikini to do it? (Only in my back garden, but neighbours can see over the fence from upstairs!!)

Hope you all have a brilliant Bank Holiday Monday xx

Haha - you're a lot slimmer than me!! I think I might go for shorts and a bikini top as a comprimise :D x

Me too! I have to remind myself I've got other challenges with my diabetes too though I try never to use it as an excuse either. I totally hear you, I guess we just have to realise everyone's body & metabolism is so different! X

Ha I want their secret too! I have to remind myself I have other challenges with my diabetes too so try not to compare, everyone's bodies and metabolisms are so different!

Glad your car is home, little monkey! X

That sushi looks so yummy, when my Taste Of Asia book arrives it will be the first thing I make.

I want to sunbathe but the sun is covered by clouds currently!! xx

Hahaha @ LauraLoo - technology issues this morning?! :D Have got the fish sushi for my lunch today, can't wait!

Emma - if you haven't made sushi before invest in a rolling mat - it makes it sooooo much easier :D You can buy whole sushi making kits from most places for about £4 and they have the rice, vinegar, mat, ginger, wasabi etc in - absolute bargain for the first time you make sushi and then you can keep re-using the mat.

Today I am trying to have a speed food day seeing as the scales haven't even shifted 0.25lbs since Saturday despite me being good and doing exercise every day! Let's see what my body thinks of that :D
