Total Solution No more yo yo-ing!

Hope your day is going well Yoyo. Don't worry about the soup, It wont do any harm if its occasional as long as you stay on track xx

Thanks Susie - it was a lovely day, how was yours?

I don't know for sure about the soup but looking at the carbs I think it should be fine - hope today's been a good one for you x

Thanks Katie - I've bought some bouillon powder now so I can have that instead if it happens again :)

Had a lovely day :)

It was beautifully sunny and so surprisingly for me I was up fairly early, well early for me at half 9 (you can tell I don't have kids!)

Mum and dad came over and we took the dogs and went to a lovely garden near us. There was a farmers market on too so I avoided the yummy food and ice cream and bought Barney some handmade dog treats instead! Lol!

We wandered round the gardens then went for lunch at the tearooms. It was lovely to sit outside in the sunshine and I didn't really mind that I had black coffee and a bar while mum, dad and hubby ate their lunch. Although, following in miss macs footsteps I wrote my first food down on a list today - crusty white bread with Lancashire cheese and pickle.. Yum! I wasn't that tempted but it did look delish when hubby was eating it.

Then on the way home we stopped at a big lake to walk the dogs and so they could have a good run off the lead. They all had ice creams except me and mum and I wrote a 99 with flake and strawberry sauce down on my food list - so that's two things now ;)

Then we stopped at the Garden centre and bought a few bits I needed for the garden, some pots to pot up my hostas that mum gave me and some big pebbles to put on the bed that the cats like to use as a toilet to stop them going on there, they keep killing my plants! Lol. Not sure where they will go now - probably another bed! Lol!

So when we got back we pottered in the garden and then had tea. They all had sandwiches and I had a spag Bol. Mum keeps asking me about this diet, think she's considering it but she might do the working solution as she wants at least one proper meal a day. She tried a bit of my spag Bol and said it tasted ok. She made me laugh though when she said is anything delicious on this diet! Kind of missing the point, if it was really delicious I would want to eat more of it, although I love the toffee nut raisin bars - probably my fav!

So I also used half a vanilla shake in two coffees today so I have half a pack left. I might have half a shake pack later on.

All in all a lovely day, and I realised another food habit of mine. When we plan to go anywhere my instinct is to think "oh goody we can go for lunch or great lets take a picnic" so it's weird (but great) to enjoy going somewhere for the experience not for the food or drink reward at the end of it!

We are off on a long bike ride tomorrow all day so I'm looking forward to that. Getting my fitness back slowly. We will drive to an old railway line and cycle along it, so it should be fairly easy. The landscape is really pretty so I'm looking forward to it.

Went into tesco today - I burnt my arm on steam from a kettle the other day, and it has swollen and looks a bit red since I knocked the skin off it in bed last night so I went to ask the pharmacist for advice. While I was there, inspired by Miss Mac and the fact that we are away next weekend for 4 days (work and pleasure) I wanted to get some ultra slim shakes that are ready to drink. They yell only had the cafe latte? The other flavours were still out of stock? Wonder what's going on there? Anyone know? I might pop over to miss macs diary and ask her.

Anyway that was a very long ramble, hope everyone else is enjoying the bank holiday. Xx

Sounds like a perfect spring day - perhaps minus the burn! That's a good point about experiencing things and places more when it's not about food.

:)

Thanks Lara :) hope you've had a lovely day?

Yes not bad thanks just on my way home I'm pretty exhausted today I must say!

I honestly do think the food list really helped me.
Hope it works for you too!

Have you got an asda near you? They do a ready made shake too and they are fine. Thats what i started on until they went out of stock but i emailed asda and they don't have a problem supplying them so you could use them if you have a store near you x

Good thinking miss mac :) thanks

Have a good day Yy :) x

Thanks :) just trying to work up the energy to actually get out of bed! Lol! Barney has hurt his paw so we'll have to leave him at home while we go on our bike ride :( he seems to have taken a chunk of the pad off near the edge. It doesn't have anything in it and it's not bleeding so hoping it will heal quickly. Hope you have a good day too :)

Hi Lynne - I noticed you on Miss Macs diary I think and you mentioned a few times that you can't get past 7 days on exante - have you managed that yet? How's it going?

Hope you are enjoying your bike ride Yoyo. Well done for getting out there today x

Thanks Susie - had a great day! Knackered now though :) hope you've had a good one? X

Thanks Striver! I'm feeling great on this duet and even better in that post exercise tiredness and achyness if you know what I mean?

Hello! Week 2 Day 12

Had a great day today :) we went on a 20 mile bike ride and I feel very tired and achy but I feel great! You know that lovely feeling when you can feel it in every muscle? You know you've worked hard :)

Hope everyone else has had a good day?

Food wise I had a coffee with some vanilla shake in it and then a tesco ultra slim shake for lunch before the ride, a bar while riding and afterwards with a black coffee (half and half). I'm going to have half a soup soon and then I have some of my half a vanilla shake left to have in another coffee later.

Really fancy a curry now though - that's going on the list :)

Just a point re. Tesco ready to drink ultra slims - there's a ton of carbs in them! 27grams! I didn't realise! So I'm going to have to find an alternative or a way to mix my exante shakes when I'm away - anyone have any tips?

I think you can buy made up exante shakes, Not sure what they taste like but worth having a look on their site x
