Hey Bren... How's you? Hope you've had a great weekend? :) xx

Well, they sent him home Friday teatime, and by Saturday teatime he was back in, reminds me so much of how it was with my Dad. He spent the night in the chair on Friday night as he could not make it up the stairs, had to have a bucket in the kitchen to wee in, how dignified is that, sometimes I fecking hate the nhs system (not the people who work there, just the bloody system). The doc who readmitted him agreed totally he had been sent home too early and that enough had not been found out about his home situation regarding stairs etc. So we will see how it goes.

I cleaned the whole house yesterday and even did a couple hours of ironing which I never do, not my forte, but needed to keep busy while Loretta was away. Last fave gig of the year last night and feeling quite bereft after it, might be a culmination of lots of things, or just one, who knows. We went out today and did some more Crimbo shopping, and for some food and booze and then tea at wetherspoons, and yes I ate the chips, but that is my only sin this weekend. 2 days off now, vets tomorrow for Finn's booster but that is my only planned event. Plenty to do, wrapping, cards and all that ****. Put tree up yesterday too. Somehow still not getting the Crimbo vibe but not surprising really. Hope you lot are well xxx

Morning Bren, no Christmas vibes here yet either. I take it the FIL is still hospitalised then

Afternoon All
Yes Jim, he is still in and hopefully will be in for a while as he certainly is not fit to be at home. Loretta is visiting after work tonight.

Just picked up my turkey - AND managed to fit it into the freezer :) alongside the huge slab of beef I got yesterday, along with my sossies and bacon for doing the turkey with.................also got my foil, stuffing and some booze so getting there bit by bit.

Just having my first sit down of the day, have been on the go since I got up, vets with dog for his booster and health check, walked back up into town to drop a prescription off for the missus, went to wetherspoons for my lunch and a coffee, been to asda and picked up turkey and some more pressies, knackered - and I have a couple of classes tonight too! Phew. Now what shall I do tomorrow..............
cards and wrapping perhaps? Then a couple of classes tomorrow night - going back to work on Wednesday for a rest!

Me too, just enjoying listening to the Damned concert, dog at my feet chewing his bone, black coffee in my giant mug and feet up catching up on here :) xx

Oh aye, forgot to mention, scales still going down..................about a kilo less than last Monday which is amazing, just hope I don't have the midweek blip I had last week - fingers crossed.

I need my eyes checked I keep reading it as a couple of glasses ;) I popped out briefly for a few essentials (dog chews mainly) and Emma is now chomping away on a rawhide shoe. Unfortunately on the cream rug and not her bed, bad girl!

Woohoo - well done on the scales Bren:D
Xxx

Loretta has just got back from hospital with her Dad, not looking good to be honest and just like with my Dad it will be a blessing and probably just a matter of time now.

I know, he is 85 and has prostate cancer on top of having a colostomy 20 years ago so he has done really well to get this far.

((hugs)) for you and L
Xxxx

Evening Bren! So pleased about the scales and SO very sorry about FiL ... Big warm hugs xx
