Pregnancy and Baby Advice Thread: From Conception to Birth, and Beyond!

I don't know how you survive on so little sleep. I'm going to have such a shock!!'

You know me, even before I was pregnant I never slept lol x

Ladies, can't remember who was mentioning about nursing bras and how expensive they are. Well they are but I've just won a brand new one with tags and box in eBay. It's just plain white and from mothercare and was £18. I won it for £2.70 but with postage it is £6.10. Still a lot more affordable because even the sports bras in asda were £4-6 minimum. Feeling pretty chuffed with that purchase.... So yeah have a look on eBay if you want nursing bras at a cheaper price

I wish I could shop in normal shops for bras, might have a look on eBay though, otherwise I'm looking at £25-£30 minimum in bravissimo :(

I'm the same up from a G to a H so far :-(

Does anyone have days they feel quite down? My hormones are driving me crazy!

I started at a double HH and there falling out now so need to get remeasured at some point!

I was really emotional Thursday night and sat there crying, today I was just feeling clingy & lonely and didn't want hubby to leave for work!!

I've not really changed in bra size tbh. Bit gutted as I'm only a B!

Thanks for the nursing bra tip off - gonna get myself measured at M&S I think as not sure what size I am at the mo and then go shopping online. I tend to fit bras a bit funny so definitely want to get measured first.

Emotional? Just a bit! I am an extreme case tbh with the anxiety and depression but I am a spot changeable. I can be happy one minute and crying my eyes out the next, it's a bit unnerving! I think it's all normal though - we are all having such massive hormonal changes it's not surprising that things get a bit out of whack xxx

Good idea to be measured. Mothercare also do measuring so could always try there too. I measure differently depending the type of bra. I'm assuming when all milk comes through my boobs will get bigger? I've gone for a d cup given I'm a c/d now, so hopefully that will be ok.

Xxx

I think that's about right - I think they say go up a cup size and buy a back size that fits on the last hook so you can pull it in as your back size goes up too when you're pregnant and goes back down afterwards. I struggle with bras normally so the idea of buying special bras is horrific to me! I used to have to buy them from Simply Be when I was fatter as no one else did a 44B lol ;)

That's what I have gone with. I got some in the mothercare sale a while back but they are not feeding ones. Once the eBay one comes I will have two feeding ones. Will keep my eyes open for any other cheap ones but tempted to see how I go with those two then always buy more once baby is here. X

Has anyone suffered with cramp? The last 2 nights I've been woken up in the night with cramp in my leg calf. Really hurts and then the next day it is much tighter. Anything I can do to prevent it or is it just one of those things?!

Been awol all day and only just managed to get on but, as Frances said, I've had them and OUCH is all I can say!! I literally couldn't move and was in pain for days afterwards. Again as Frances said bananas and milk do work. They say that cramps are either a potassium or calcium deficiency so give them a try. I also find the more water I drink the less I get them. Bloody hurt though!!

I've just had a nana and drinking cold milk now. I never used to have them before. Think I've had cramp twice in my whole life until I got pregnant. Had them a couple of times before last week and then two nights in a row. I hate waking up in that horrible pain and you can't straighten your leg. Ouch ouch. Both times I screamed out in my sleep. Think I may have even sobbed on Thursday night but not really knowing I was. Will try drink more water too.

Thanks got your help Hun. Have yours gone now? X

Didn't see this earlier but have had cramp too unfortunately :( It bloody hurts! I don't get it often thankfully but once a week is quite enough, makes your leg hurt the whole day after xxx

I really struggled to move. I knew I needed to pull my toes upwards towards my shins to stretch it out but my feet were always pointing straight downwards. The only way I could stretch was to swing my legs out of bed and actually stand up to put all my weight on my feet and stretch my calves out.
They've not been as bad for a while but I still have the odd night where they come back, just not quite as bad as they were a few weeks ago. x

I have to get out of bed and get my foot in the floor, it's the only thing that ever works. Which is a nightmare when you have PGP at the best of times! ;) Cramp is nasty, I feel for you girls who get it more often xxx

Yeh I have to get out of bed too which is not always easy. Hopefully I won't suffer tonight x

Yeah the cramp in both my legs is something I suffer with nearly every night and is another reason I struggle to get any sleep :( I constantly have to switch from one side to the other all night.

tonight I have the added bonus of having a foot or something digging in my left rib(s) which has been there Ll day and so now it feels like my ribs are bruised *cry*
