Pregnancy and Baby Advice Thread: From Conception to Birth, and Beyond!

Its just a pigment line Frances, it'll go after the birth. I never got one, I'm far too fair
But I don't want it.. I said from the start I hoped I didn't get it... I don't like it..
Bet I get a freakin' outtie too :(

Now now Frances, you've got it and you'll have to cope with it lol. My belly button is completely flush...not an innie or an outie haha. My son is so confused when he looks at it

Oh ladies... Never said... J has been asking for about a week or 2 what the line is on my stomach... I thought it was a mark from the seam off my trousers but its not... Its that awful linear line thingy... Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Don't worry, it'll go away afterwards right?

I have a horribly discoloured outtie belly button so I feel your pain!

I've not got the line and I wanted it!! But either though I've dark hair on my head I'm very fair on my arms and legs. I haven't even got a hint of an outtie either but the skin on my belly isn't even stretched so I'm not sure whether that has something to do with it. I'm not sure if it's from years of dieting so I had a fat belly anyway and baby is just filling it out but if I prod it it's still squishy. My sister looked as if her belly would split by the time she was 35 weeks!!

My belly is like that. Hubby won't look at it, he says that if baby moves it looks like its just gonna break through the skin lol. Thankfully I've no stretch marks YET!

Mine is mega tight over the top but squishy at the bottom? Go figure... The top bit looks fit to burst. No stretch marks yet either but I had tonnes to start with so no biggy if I get a few more ;)

You're way slimmer than I am so it's no wonder your skin is stretched! That's what my nephew looked like, a cute little alien ;-) I've no new ones, thankfully, but I did already have some stretch marks from yoyo dieting which have nearly faded.

I'm not slim at all. But thanks anyway ha. I'm not sure my skin can take another possible 4 weeks of growth though

I've seen your bump pics. There's definitely less on you than me, fat wise!
Ooh four weeks! How exciting :) I'm hoping ours is only four too if they'll induce me at 39.

I'm due in 2 weeks and 3 days but the consultant says he'll let me go over the maximum if I don't go so that'd be another 2 weeks. God I really hope it doesn't come to that......

Well this baby seems less eager than your other two were ;-) maybe you've got a lazy one this time!

I'm really dark and all I got was the dark belly button, wouldn't have minded the line. The dark patch just makes it look like I don't wash!!!

Good luck Sammie xxxx

Pregnancy and Baby Advice Thread: Brands, Feeding, Nursery, Bathing, Everything!

Hi girls
Just an update ,
After waiting 2 hours last night I finally saw the doctor .. Everything's seems to be ok baby's heartbeat was fine and they did an internal examination and there was no more active blood so I was told to go home and take it easy for the next few days although I have ended up back at work today as there was no one to fill in for me but I feel fine in myself.
I did ask about why it keeps happening and the answer was simply that some women do bleed throughout pregnancy and it's always best to come in and get it checked out and that generally it's only a concern if its coming from the placenta which mine wasn't .
So I am feeling reassured although still slightly anxious but baby has been moving around so I know he/she is ok which is the main thing .
Still getting a pink discharge this morn but I guess aslong as it's not red blood I'm not going to panic again.

Glad to hear everything's ok Sammie, you definitely did the right thing getting checked out xxx

Glad to hear they checked everything n all is fine :) Such a relief... Must be so scary but always best to get checked out as say...
Make sure you let the bosses/supervisors know you're on hospital orders to rest and if it gets too much, you'll need to get yerself home to bed... I know its not always as simple as this in reality, but it is only a job..,. You need to look after number 1.. You and baby (I know that's 2 people technically but of equal importance :D) xxx

Glad to hear it :) take plenty of rest when you can xx
