Pregnancy and Slimming World

Pregnancy does weird things to our bodies, before i was pregnant with my first daughter for a couple of years i had these weird deja vu episodes which are kind of epilipsy and i still got the while i was pregnant with my 1st. A month after having her i had a massive fit and since than i have been clear of them for over 4 years now x

Gosh how scary. I collapsed not long after I got home with 2nd baby.OH found me lying in the hallway blue with the toddler bouncing over me. Paramedics & cardiac arrived but I refused to go to hospital (I really don't do hospital). Never did find out what caused it & for a while I was worried it would happen again when I was on my own with the kids. It hasn't though so touch wood it was related to the section or something at the time. glad you've been all clear xo

Should be depending on what it is x

It's a calpol saline nose spray suitable from birth. I gave it a wee go there & can actually breathe out one side of my nose for the first time in 2 weeks! Can't be bad?

oh it is actually ok for use in pregnancy -just checked. That's me happy :) Might give it another shot before bed & hopefully clear my poor nose.

I swear there's a lot of flutters going on in my tummy tonight! It's at that stage where it's not strong enough to be really noticeable so you doubt yourself.

Can't wait for the proper kicks :)

Lol they will come soon enough and then baby will be keeping you awake at night x

Urghhh feeling very emotional and forgetful today bloody damn you hormones!!!!
Aww hope your feeling better now, know what you mean by the hormones im having a crazy upset day today x

The calpol saline should be fine as we use them on newborns anyway x
I think my fit was caused by the traumatic labour i went through the first time too, it took me a while to get better from it x

It's amazing how you can go through a horrible first labour but find the strength to have more. People always wonder how I did, but it's all worth it :)

lol, I know remind me of this in a month or two when I'm complaining :)

Aww hun, big hugs xo

Lol it was my husband who wanted more children, after my first labour i was adamant i didnt want more but he got round me and i'm he did x

There's a 9 year age gap between my sister & me which I hated growing up. There's only a year between her & my brother so they had each other growing up. I was always adamant that I wouldn't have an only child. That is the only thing that pushed me to have another so quick. I was happy enough to stop at 2 but sure a wee surprise isn't bad either :)

There are 4 of us sisters and 1 brother and there is between a year and 2 years between us all but unfortunately we are not very close so thats why i wasnt bothered if we had one child but my husband wants loads so thats why we now have a 4 year old, 3 year old, 1 year old and soon a newborn lol. I am glad we are having all our children close together and thankfully I have learnt from my parents mistakes and have made sure the bond between our children is strong x

Can I ask, is there much of a difference between the relationship of the first two compared to the 2nd/3rd? I wouldn't have chosen this age gap but would rather have had another small gap between no.2 & 3. I just worry as they will be nearly 5 & 3.5 when baby is born -will no.3 be left out a bit? Does that make sense at all?

There is a difference in relationship firstly because the first 2 are girls and the 3rd is a boy and the 2 year gap has made a difference because their playing is at another level, they like play acting and stories whereas he just likes playing and so gets left out of their games. Also as a boy his playing is a lot different he is more physical and usually destroys theirs games especially when they build up their castles! My daughters like to mother him so he is also super spoilt so dont know how he will react to his sister but i have a feeling he wont like it x
Children adapt to situations very well so if baby no 3 does feel a bit left out they probably wont mind as much as they will get used to it and know no better x

It's crap isn't it! I've literally been on the brink of tears all day! I'm just exhausted! Hope your days gone ok x
Its been pretty crap and i can feel a chest infection coming on so not happy. SW has gone out of the window again as my nausea has come back and i have that horrible copper taste in my mouth! x

Thank you for your honesty. I have a girl & a boy -he mainly follows her games I'd say. He's coming out of the play alone stage & likes to join DD with her random imaginary games (thanks to Disney cartoons, lol). He's quite clingy to me & more babyish than she was at that age. I've not treated him like the baby of the family so I think it's more his personality. DD can't wait to have a baby in the house but DS isn't so fussed. I didn't have any problems with DD when DS came home as she was only 18 months & very much included. I reckon there may be a few teething problems with DS but as one of my friend's has had a second child recently & another is about to have her second soon, he see's it as normal for babies to appear.
Just a random note...thankfully I avoided the 'how do babies get out of your tummy' question from DD thanks to my sections. She was happy with my answer of 'mummy goes to hospital & the doctor takes it out, see my scar' :)

When my sisters try and be clever (to wind me up) and ask my 4 year old where will baby come out of, she calls them stupid and says out of mummies belly button of course lol! My son is also really clingy (he wont get out of my bed whereas his sisters slept in their own cotbeds at his age, he also wont sleep or let my husband put him to sleep) and he also acts more babyish. It must be a boy thing x

Mine has too, everyone keeps telling me I'm over reacting and that you do not get nausea or sickness this far into your pregnancy! But every morning I'm waking up feeling like I've been sucking a led pipe, feeling really grotty it's getting more frequent! Hope your chest infection doesn't cause too many problems! I'm following red days or at least trying too as close as I can because if diabetes but its horrid my fingers hurt with having to force blood out 7 times a day and I'm constantly hungry! :(

Your not over reacting, nausea can come at any time in pregnancy, apart from the copper taste in my mouth i was feeling ok until i had my breakfast and i feel so sick :(
During pregnancy i find carbs mainly fill me up whereas nothing else but carbs bloat me up and make me put on so much weight and you cant have carbs because of your diabetes. Oh well we dont have much longer to go x
