Pregnancy and Slimming World

I had my pram in the house before my 1st was born but hubby wouldnt set up her moses basket until she was home!

It's a weird one isn't it! We are decorating the nursery even though she will be on our room for a few months I just need somewhere to put her clothes etc and I didn't want to the house smelling of paint while she was tiny so that's the only reason we are doing it now! But the Moses basket is at a friends house and the pram is going today to another friends house! I was just going to leave it but my god the grief I received over it was abit shocking so off it goes! It will be back here in a few weeks anyway! It's flying by just hope it still flys by I'm so ready for this baby I'm at a lost end!! :)

I don't know, ILoveCake.... The lengths some people will go to, to avoid hula hooping naked down a street!!! ;)

Congratulations! :D

Lol, it was getting a bit close lol!

Wow! 5? I am scared about adding number two to the mix lol. And it's taken me five years to get there. That's fantastic though - fair dues to you.How long have you got now?

Ages only 6 weeks pg lol. You give into the madness after 3 babies. 3-4 was easy, I'm hoping 4-5 will be too. Can't believe I have to do labour again I'd accepted that I wouldn't have too.

Lol its crazy with 3 here so have no idea how much more crazy it will be with number 4, especially 4 under 5s! Hope your having a better day with your morning sickness today x

4 under 5 is pretty epic. I had 4 that were 8 and under and I thought that was brave. It'll be fine.

Well, I have my next hcg beta test this evening, should have results for Wednesday morning. Hoping to see some good doubling every 36-48 hours (give or take).

Not sure if I posted any of this already: I did another pregnancy test for comfort and the test was stronger than the control line so was very happy about that. Early on in my pregnancy I had disappearing lines on my test so that left me nervous - every day the tests got lighter and lighter until it almost disappeared (I used same brand and FMU for each) so have been a bit crazier than is normal for me.

Spend yesterday doing the garden, it looks great now. But as we were out all day cutting and weeding I didn't really eat properly and just snacked on whatever was to hand so not great SW wise. The rest of the week has been excellent. First weight in again tomorrow after missing too many classes, sigh

A line that dark has to be a good sign. Good luck for your results and for weigh in.

Mmmm cant decide today whether to go through the mountain of ironing that my children are actually using as a mountain on the sofa or go and get my cake tins and new weighing scales as was too tired to do it yesterday and bake that cake my daughter wants  x

Bake a cake!!! The rest can wait.

Lol superstitions are just that but some people go a bit mad over them (my mum but luckily not in much contact with her so no interference). I made my husband paint my room a bright sunshine yellow around 2 months ago much to the disgust of my daughters who like their room wanted my room to be a bright pink ready for their sister. Now just waiting for my husband to get off his lazy bum and paint the rest of the house! I know what you mean by flying by, its feels like only yesterday getting that shock at the scan i was pregnant x

I love that stage when everything's ready and all prepared. Time to relax while you still can. Hope the last few weeks speed up for you.

Lol thats what i'm thinking and plus the exercise from walking to the city centre will burn enough calories for the cake i will be eating later on:D

Perfect! I do love cake, what type are you making? My fav is carrot cake but it has to be really luxurious with loads of filling and topping. I miss carrot cake.

Weigh in day for me today - hope the pizza express pizza that fell in my mouth yesterday does not do too much damage! Oops I'm bad! x

Can you not have a tiny bit of normal choc or is it totally banned? My mum is a type 1 diabetic (different I know) and she has always gone for a small bit of real choc over diabetic choc. Her doctor actually told her that diabetic choc is a waste of money as you can't eat much anyway due to it giving you the runs! She has never bought any products made for diabetics. Obviously she's not diet controlled though so advice would be different but worth checking to save your sanity? xxx

Well done! I'm looking at a huge gain on third, can feel it! I'll be lucky to not be a stone up if I'm honest! xxx

Well the doc didn't say choc was totally banned just gave advice on cutting carbs more as pasta, potatoes, rice and bread were my main diet! But I've noticed my glucose rises when I'm rushing about at work or have a busy day! Where as the couple if times I've eaten choc it has made no difference whatsoever to my results! I'm on medication now too but may have to change it as it doesn't seen to make any difference at all!! I take my hat off to your mum this has been an eye opener for me! I will be more careful with my diet in the future I hate having to test my blood 7 times a day :-( it bloody hurts :-( xx

My dad was a type 1 diabetic as well (so guess who's probably gonna get gestational diabetes too!) so it's a subject close to my heart. I've already been told that I'm having the GTT because my family history of diabetes is atrocious!

It's so hard to balance your diet, it's taken mum years of practice to get the food/insulin balance right so don't feel bad that you're struggling - it's difficult! A lot of it is just experimentation, working within the guidelines they give you and figuring out what foods you react best/worst too. Mum still has chocolate and puddings, just not all the time. She does have the advantage of being on insulin though which means she can adjust both her insulin amount and her food to find a happy medium, it also gives more leeway if your eating out etc. She reckons that tablet/diet controlled is much more difficult so I know she'd take her hat off to you. xxx

Can anyone shed some light on this query! I'm going into my 33rd week, and parents have bought us a pram which we have in our conservatory it isn't set up yet but I've been told its bad luck to have it in your house before the birth!!!! Has anyone heard this??!??
Rubbish, I am not a believer in supistion. I had the travel system all set up in living room at 30 weeks with my last pregnancy and everything was fine :)
