And so Operation wash baby clothes has begun! Our washing machine broke Wed and after a mini break down Hubby told me he ordered a new bigger one (his was of thinking of baby) so it got delivered yesterday! So I have just finished my first load of stuff I bought at car boot - used fairy non bio and if all smells so lush! Eek the nesting is beginning!
Glad you have a washer now and I know the feeling. I've only washed a few items but I've never enjoyed washing more than for my little baby's clothes
Ha I know I have never enjoyed washing so much! I'm on the second load now! x
We had a really nice afternoon out and about- saw a lovely pram/buggy that we both fell in love with, it's a Graco one, we've just got to research it a bit more for size, etc, and look around at prices (we saw it in Toys R Us for £209.99). Wasn't impressed with Mama & Papa's- very expensive and not really our taste. Mothercare was good- saw another buggy we liked, a MacLaren, but we both prefer the Graco. Hubby decided to to use the £100 on me, he wanted to treat me, so I come out of Mothercare with 2 maternity bras (I've gone up a size as well, so was desperate need of more!), a really gorgeous jumper that's a size 10 but has ample room for bump <3 Mothercare has got some lovely maternity clothes, I must say. We also got a baby record book so that I can put scan pictures, etc in. We both had a baby book and it's such a cute thing to do Decided that IKEA is probably the place to look at baby furniture, so planning a trip to Lakeside We then got the munchies and had a naughty KFC on the way home!!! Needless to say, our roast dinner tonight is a much scaled down version of the usual!! All in all, a great day and I feel great too <3 x
Yeh the Graco we saw (Quattro tour deluxe travel system) had the car seat and carry cot as well, really nice and sturdy, we loved it had so many things with it, for such a good price.Aww sounds fab. What a lovely day. We have the graco evo. We got the car seat and carry cot which just clicks in to the evo stand. We liked it and wasn't going to bankrupt us. I also wasn't impressed with mama and papa's pushchairs. So expensive and a bit too trendy for my liking
We went to an M&P outlet a while back and even that was dear! We did get our changing mat from there (it's all jungley, bright and lovely and just couldn't resist) but wasn't impressed by anything else there really. Far too much pastel blue and pink for my liking...
My friend did her whole nursery ( cot, wardrobe, changing unit, bedding, rug, curtains, wallpaper) from m&p. it must have cost her a bomb!
Bloody hell, that's eye-wateringly expensive! They had a blanket there that was over £30 alone, and this is in the discount store remember. It was a lovely blanket however we ended up finding a similar one from matalan for a tenner x
Yep I dread to think how much they spent. They also got the I candy pushchair plus car seat, carrycot and matching bags etc. They are both drs so guess have a lot more disposable income than us, but still.... As Paul says it is a beautiful nursery for an adult but not bright enough for a baby!! X
We've brought the pram We went for the Graco Quattro deluxe travel system in bear and friends from Toys R Us, it's got a carry cot and car seat as well and all for £209!!! It should be here anytime before Tuesday We saw it last weekend and researched it and it's the perfect side and fit, it's got cute little bears all over it and its a sand/beige colour so perfect for either boy or girl. Best part is my parents have brought it for us And in-laws want to buy the cot once we've seen one we like Going to IKEA at the weekend to have a good look at cots, etc and as it's right next to Lakeside we're going to combine it with a Xmas shopping trip!!
Ooh.. Thanks for that tip!! I was gona buy my mattress from there but probably won't now.. Just to be sure to be sureYay how exciting. I know the one you mean and it's really nice. Good value too. We have the graco evo so not too different.
Enjoy ikea shopping. Do the cots there fit the same size bedding as other shops? I know the adult beds never used to, so just to be aware. You may need to buy all bedding there too.
Can imagine lakeside will be busy but hope you have a productive Christmas shopping trip.
Have fun x
Ooh.. Thanks for that tip!! I was gona buy my mattress from there but probably won't now.. Just to be sure to be sure I'd have never even thought of the size TBH.. I'd assume they were standard... How exciting to have bought your pram Dougal
