Pregnancy and Slimming World

I'm not looking forward to my anti-D, heard it stings!

Nellylou I'm 25 weeks and have felt the pressure when walking for a couple of weeks now, it's rubbish!

Aww.... So glad i'm actually not alone.. I thought I was the only rh- bloody type-r on here :)
Though am sorry for you ladies to have to get the jab.. But have to say if its as you all say am quite happy we do things differently over here :) I just need to make sure I stay upright n no falling over... easier said than done!!! lol

Sorry work is so crappy for you ladies... If it makes you feel better... I still have 12WEEKS left...

The last few weeks at work are awful but mat leave is worth the wait! It's not been great for my mental health tbh (too much time for me and not enough mobility) but for everyone without those issues mat leave is a perfect time to do your final bits of sorting and get your feet up. :) xxx

I feel for you guys still working - I finished work last Friday and I have to say the last couple of weeks was extra hard! I have really enjoyed this first week off and have kept myself busy washing baby clothes and meal planning etc but I have also made time to rest. I have struggled resting though as my body clock still thinks I've got to go to work but I'm getting there. Trying to make the most of my rest before baby comes!

x x

Yeah, we need those lie ins! Not long now...

You're making me regret my decision to leave it til 38/39 weeks to finish... lol

Honesty, you might be ok! I know people who've worked to 38 weeks and been fine. But I also know people who tried and in reality had to finish at 35/36 as they found it too hard to carry on. See how you feel when you get there hun xxx

I worked till 38+2 and then the week after I went in to work for a special assembly stayed all morning (was taken out for lunch after!!) an then the following week I went in to help out at 39+2! I was tired after that visit but I had started to relax by then... Me keeping going was the best thing!

On a serious not I gained about 10lbs between finishing work and having the little dude at 41+2 and I blame not working and being much less mobile!! Plus more time to chomp!! Lol xx

I'm finishing at 33 weeks :)

But that's only because I have so much annual leave that I need to take before maternity leave!
My mat leave actually starts on my due date!!

Glad it's not just me then. Both my colleagues worked till 38 weeks so going at 35 does feel a bit lame, ideally I'd leave even earlier but used all my holiday already and need to think of the pennies! ;)

I finished at 35 + 3 as got so much annual leave so glad I did it got to the point where I was so tired and uncomfortable at work it was a real chore going in everyday!

Ill hav my full year annual leav as bubs is due in feb n our hold are jan to dec. am taking 4 weeks at the end plus bank holiday entitlements. But... Maternity leave over here is only 26 weeks with benefit (EUR230 per week) n ya can take up to 16 extra weeks at ur own expense. N my company don't giv any contribution at all...

I can't believe how little you guys get over there, it's rubbish. :( I feel bad for complaining about my 39 weeks now! xxx

I've actually just worked out that I'll be having 47 weeks off!!!!

7 weeks annual leave (5 weeks plus bh entitlements etc)
39 weeks maternity leave (14 of those at full pay- my employer contributes)
And because when I go back I'll be in a new hol year ( ours is February-January and bubs is due May) I'm taking a weeks annual leave before I go back :D

Wow, that's very good. You obviously have a very generous employer. :)

You're a lucky lady then! I work for a quite a small firm and they don't contribute unfortunately. They are great in lots of small ways and a great company to work for but I think they'd go out of business if they paid us money on top of SMP :/

Our company has decreased over the recession years but even when it was successful they never contributed. We're uk based n quite small in Ireland. In general they're ok to work for. They pay a non contributory pension for us at a decent rate n pay full private medical n dental insurance. Plus give us more than the standard annual leave n are quite flexible when needing time off.. They're not the worst. But not the best either!!
