Pregnancy and Slimming World

Clever little thing going head down :-D glad your appointment went well, apart from the SPD - I'm going to have to get checked at my next appointment as pretty uncomfortable down below... Getting up out of the sitting position and walking for more than 10 mins is getting pretty sore :(

X

Is it SPD for you too??? Its really not nice but thankfully mine is only pretty minor and doesn't really affect me if I am sensible and take it easy..
Yea its nice to know finally dates so work towards.. As in... Last full pay cheque is in January.. Scary.. but at least I know to be money sensible...

Ah girls, sorry about the SPD :( Can I give you some hope though? You know how bad mine was and 5 days post birth it has pretty much gone! In fact even after my waters broke it was easier to walk as some of the pressure was taken off. I don't need my crutches any more and other than the c section wound which is getting better by the day I can walk just fine. Still can't stand on one leg but stairs and dressing are so much easier. So the relief comes quickly after the birth! xxx

GREAT to hear that.... As minor as mine is but still... :)

The doctor did tell me tips from other ladies who've had it are:
Wear satin PJ's n use satin sheets.. And it makes it much easier to turn over in bed (coz you slide everywhere lol)
And put a plastic bag on the seat of the car as its easier to swing round...

I did the car seat one, it really works! And remember - pretend you're a princess ;) xxx

Hi girls

Hope you and bumps are all well.

19 weeks today for me, gosh I'm almost halfway!!!

Got my 20 week scan in 12 days and I just wanted to ask you all a question:
We haven't decided yet on weather we want to find out the sex, and what I want to know is if we decided to stay team yellow, would we be able to find out later?
I ask because I'm watching FRIENDS and I've just seen the episode where Rachel finds out what's she's having and she tells the sonographer she doesn't want to know, but the info is in the folder? And then Ross rings up later and finds out.
I know it's only a TV programme but I just wondered how realistic this is?
I'm also asking because I kinda wanna know but I'd like to keep it a secret from everyone and I just know my hubby wouldn't be able to keep it quiet!!

On the symptom front, I'm still suffering with the sickness, not every day, but still...
Instead I'm suffering with very bad indigestion all day, every day :(
Yogurt is the only thing helping to relieve it, spicy and greasy food is a no no so takeaways are out of the question (thankfully).
I've started getting lots of aches around my pelvic area and a far amount of backache.
Bump is getting bigger but still no kicks yet.
I desperately want to feel the kicking, I think it will help it make the pregnancy more real x

Oh my god ur term is flying!!!

Not sure about it being on the file. We take our file with after each visit so it wouldn't be very practice??? However u cud ask the sonographer to write it down n put it a sealed envelope n open it at a later date (r when hubby's not around)
We found out but not told anyone. Except u girls of course. It's very hard to keep in. Besides the fact I keep saying she this n she that.... Sometimes u just get anew burst of excitement n debate with urself in ur head whether to tell someone. I'm still buying creams n white tho. Am not convinced its a girl (even tho the sonographer was certain) n I love creams n whites on teeny babies

I know, I'm almost halfway- that's scary and exciting at the same time!!!

That's what I thought, my file comes with me so that's completely inaccurate!
I think we'll find out, I'm still convinced its a girl and I've seen so much cute 'gender-specific' clothing I want to buy!!
Obv I wouldn't mind if its a boy either but I really do believe it's a girl!!
Me and hubby were talking about it the other night, saying I think deep down most woman want a girl and most men want a boy.
10 days until we see baby again <3!!

I was so so sure I was having a boy. I'm obviously over the moon either was as long as its healthy but I wasta little sad to learn it was missing its boy bits lol
I think initially, because of being girly n loving all things pink, I wanted a girl. But then I'd half bonded with the boy I thought I was having... If that makes sense.
Now I just want my baby. Couldn't give a rats what it is :-D

Wow almost half way Dougal! Feels to me like your pregnancy is going real quick (I think everyone else's always does)
I was really sure that we were having a girl until a few days before the 20 week scan when I started to dought a little, but nope we are having a girl :-D

Hi Dougal. I'm a midwife and Friends is not accurate I'm afraid lol. You have a hospital record as well as your home file, but we don't record gender in either because that's not what we're interested in. We're looking to check health and wellness. And since boys and girls are equally healthy, it doesn't ever get documented. We're a boring lot! But it's absolutely fine to have it written down in an envelope for you. That said, sometimes little boys are waving 'it' at the screen anyway, so you might work it out for yourself

Hi everyone.
I'm completely exhausted. Only 4weeks and 5days. Not too many symptoms. Got a positive really early about 10 days ago.
I'm just so tired, especially around 7/8 at night. Any tips?

Hiya:)

Congratz on yer BFP...
The only tip is to sleep as and when you can... Maybe start taking pregnacare or an iron supplement.. (Galfer)
The first trimester is KNACKERING and you don't really understand if coz you don't look pregnant or feel it.. So its strange...

Forgot to post yesterday:

I'm now 20 weeks!!! (20+1 today)

Halfway there eek!
I want this second half to go quickly, I love having a bump but I hate being pregnant!
Sickness has mostly gone, although I do get the odd day here and there.
Indigestion is worse than ever and as well as pelvic pain I'm getting really bad backache :(

On the plus side, it's just 4 days until we see bump again :) and we are staying team yellow :)
Here's a pic of me at 20 weeks and a close up of bump:

20 weeks... Wow... Congrats. Sure is flying...
Hope u had a luvly Christmas x

Thanks I had a lovely Xmas- hubby spoilt me :)
He got me a pregnancy pillow and it's amazing! So comfy and really helping with lack of sleep, so much so that I've spent the last few days in bed catching up haha!!
He also got me some cute clothes from Mothercare including a Mr Men nightie that says ' love my baby bump' I was almost in tears when I opened it!
Got perfume, make up, chocs, CDs, books, lots of pyjamas and onesies :)
I must say Xmas has been very quiet for us this year- we've been to family parties etc but everyone seems to be either shattered or ill!
My hubby's family are known for loving a party and staying up late, drinking and eating but not this year!

Oh well a quiet one is good, cos it won't be next year!! I'm so looking forward to next Xmas with our little one eek!

Its funny really as everyone keeps saying I've got a small bump for 20 weeks!
A friend of mine popped out at 16 weeks and looked really to drop from 20 weeks!

Anyone got plans for New Year?
We are going to my in-law's local pub for their party, same as we do every year.
And of course this will be the last one for us for a few years! X

I posted a pic of mine the other day on my thread.. You should pop over n have a goo... Hopefully not too far back.. LOL... It is quite small TBH.. Doesn't feel it on me mind but when I compare to the other girls at my gestation on this site and another one i'm on i'm tiny... Though I have noticed since having so much time to relax n rest since breaking up for Christmas its just growing by the day...

I hate new years.. Always have.. When I was single I used to head out for it but we just stay in.. Last year was our first in our house and we'd only just moved in a week r two... So we popped the champers and spent in just the 2 of us... We've not discussed it but I wreckon we'll do the same this year.. Might even get in a bottle of fake champers to pop ;)
We're heading away for a few nights on New Years Day for a little babymoon break so it won't be an up all nighter anyway... We'd have people over but I'd no doubt end up having to drive everyone home with being the sober one... As much as I don't mind that during daylight, I don't fancy it at 1 n 2 in the morning...

Hey everyone, hope you all had a lovely Christmas? Spent it with Charles's family in Wales which was nice but kind of intense, I didn't lift a finger the whole time but was fussed over constantly which got a bit much if I'm honest..

Food has been terrible and I have crazy heartburn, I'm aiming for an on plan slimming world day today to hopefully ease it a bit. Also bump is so heavy and uncomfortable and I've still approx 7 weeks left! Crazy!

Watching farther of the bride 2 and feeling emotional ;)
