3/4lb off top end healthy BMI, which is my goal for now but will change, that I guarantee. To what...no idea :p


Today I haven't done much really, sat and went through the TV shows I watch, wandered to Tesco for some stuff and that's it.

Tonight I am piping at a retirement do for some guy I don't know haha. Apparently was in the band years ago, before my time. 4 of us are going, should be a laugh and there will be a few beers as well I'm sure!

erm when you get to goal maybe start of having mini goals of 7lbs? and then see how you feel until get to a weight you feel comfortable with? that's what i'm planning on doing :)

I think more just about the middle of a healthy BMI would be fine but I haven't looked in to what that would be yet, have always said I'd wait until I got to the top of it first!

Hope you don't mind, I was showing Old Fella your pictures today (only your sig ones, not FB ones, thats like way too personal) and he was gob smacked, said you looked great (in a non gay talking, teapot arm way) and asked what exactly made you start losing weight, was it because you were told to or just knew you had to?

I don't mind at all, wasn't he more questioning the man in a skirt thing? :p

I don't really know what it was that did it with me that made me turn the corner, no one told me to. But no incident occurred that made it kick-start, I just...decided one day! I had to do it, I WANTED to do it I guess is probably the better term. Before then it had always been half-hearted. It has been a hell of a slow process (unlike some little miss smarty pants who is far too good at the weight loss thing for her own good ;-) ) but the end justifies the means.

Plus I don't think there are many photos of older mean on facebook :p

I just relayed back what you said, think it has made him a bit more determined now, he said he doesn't mind if it takes a long time, he just wants to get there.

Had 1 shiney pound left from my shopping yesterday to pop to poundland with on my lunch for a multipack of WW crisps for the week.

I was the same with my weight loss journey - one day I just woke up and thought, right, I've got to do this!

I personally think it takes a lot for a man to start a weight loss plan, looking at what other men have achieved is something completely different to what a woman achieves, if that makes sense.

I don't think it does actually, women are just more open about it. It's more accepted for women to be on diets than men.

I reckon there are a lot of men who diet etc who don't mention it. It is why I went to this site in the first place!

It was only when the significant differences in me led to people asking that I said I was actively losing weight. I still wont tell people it is WW though :eek:
 
I get notions now and then, and was thinking in work today that there is a near perfect loop of road near my flat.

So tonight I went and jogged it! 2.5miles took about 24 minutes.

I'm marking that as 3 points earned!

Wonder how long this phase will last this time!
 
Decided to chuck an extra bit of meat free chicken in and have all my points in one go, earned it after the run :p

So it was;

I weighed it an 9 stone 8 this morning.

But, slight problem. I couldn't erm - relieve myself this morning for reasons I don't know, happens now and then where the morning number 2 just isn't happening!

Because of that I am still carrying everything from lunch onwards yesterday.

So I have made a deal to myself, I have posted the WI here so I am not avoiding it but I am going to try again tomorrow morning and see what happens!
