Puggso_32 - Plodding along

Oh and you wont hear much from me this weekend folks!

Right out to the pub after work today for a couple of drinks and food (baked potato of some sort for me) then away up to Oban first thing tomorrow morning with the pipe band. We are going up for a practice then a night on the sauce together - builds team spirit!

Will be lots of beer etc over this weekend, but I'm fine with that as totally comfortable with where I am weight wise :)

whit woo.. looking good.. one bonus of boys clothes.. cheaper! well some anyways.. lol..
xx

And apparently VAT free! :D

Nice one!! I do like it when I can buy kids trainers so I can't imagine the delight it would be if I could get away with kids clothes, don't think it'll ever happen for me!

Sounds like a good weekend ahead for you, have a good one!! :)

Turns out tea time never arrived :rolleyes:

Was a great 2 days, lots of drinking and not too much eating haha! Didn't have a tea Saturday night, choosing to drink lots of lager shandy.

That will most likely be my killer this week, I needed to pace myself so instead of beer/spirit shandy won out! And it worked, drank for 12 hours then about 5 yesterday!

Did have a big cooked breakfast mind you on the Sunday.

But this is why I lost weight, so that now I can do these weekends. If I gain I gain!

Today;

Porridge - 3
Jam - 1

Cous Cous - 3
Soup - 1
Carrots/Dressing - 0
Tomatoes - 0

Welcome back from your weekend away, it sounds like you had a good one :)

Its good you can go away and have a good time knowing that when you get home you will get back to your points!

Hope the scales are not harsh on you this week. Jo x

Cheers, I'm glad I can now - to an extent - flip the switch to 'off'

In other news, last weekend I bought 3 polo shirts and a hoody.

I gambled - I'm male so don't try things on - and decided to get them all small. Got home and tried them on, with very good results.

Have 1 of the polo shirst on today;

(from the work toilet!)

Now I have a dilema I never thought I'd have.

It's a small, and slightly baggy, and a bit long (being a short 4rse and everything).

...could the next step be shopping in the boys clothes? :eek:

...the small hoody!

Sounds like you had great weekend, I'm loving your attitude...that's why you lost weight!! Such a great way to see it instead of immediate guilt trip when you over indulge now and again!! Going to take a leaf from your book!!

P.S....surely you were freezing with shorts on in Oban THIS weekend??!

Best way to be I find attitude wise! As long as I don't view it as an excuse to go off the deep-end then I'll be fine!

I only put the shorts on for the practice, but we had a wee bit of time to kill so went a quick wander along the front. Wasn't actually too cold!

And now for a long post;

Basically since joining WW any time I had a very good weigh-in I’d make sure anything different I had done in the run-up to it I would replicate every week after. With WW it got to the stage where all I had on a Wednesday was shredded wheat at breakfast, pack of crisps and a small jelly at lunch and then nothing until I got in from the meeting. I would also make sure I shaved before going among the other bizarre things (always wore the same clothes, done to the boxers…somehow thinking bigger boxers weigh more). I just wanted no excuse for anything going wrong like “oh well, I’m wearing much heavier shorts this week” as I viewed that as a cheat/get-out clause.

So when I moved out to Glasgow and left the meetings to go it alone I saw this as a chance to sort all this out as my Wednesday were becoming a starved hell (fyi I would eat like a beeyatch when I got in so over the 24 hours was never depriving myself, just was very unbalanced).

But this only lasted so long; with good weigh-ins again I was carrying back in the old habbits. I’d shower the night before rather than in the morning (might have water still on me which can add weight), would shave, would have the same small meal every Tuesday night before band…etc etc etc.

So was doing this last night as usual and walking up to pipe band practice and knew I should have had more. The weekend lack of sleep etc was carrying on and I basically needed more food to get energy back but I didn’t bother.

I was sitting on the train on the way out to band I was thinking about it. I NEVER thought in my life I would be 9 and a half stone (especially when 16 stone!). I know what to do to control my weight; loose, gain and also stay about the same. I am pretty much happy with the weight I am…so why get worked up about it? I just knew I would come in from band shattered and be starving and finally realised deep-down there was no need to go through what I was gonna go through. So that is when I decided I’d be having that bowl of porridge (mentioned).

So going forward, I want to just hold my weight roughly where it is. As we know, it’s never possible with the body to be completely stagnant but close enough will do.

I do know, however, that I NEED to keep an eye on it. You hear so many horror stories of people losing lots of weight and then slowly putting it back on, not even realising it is happening. I CANNOT be that person, not after what I’ve done and got to where I am. My eating is not going to change, that’s almost a part of me, but no more weekly weigh ins as such and no more strict food in take and borderline OCD acts of madness before weigh-ins. Walking etc will also still be the same. Everything will be checked very frequently. If I ever feel it is getting away from me it will be reeled back in.
