Puggso_32 - Plodding along

good post doll..

I know what you mean kinda.. I had a bath before weigh in, like a couple of hours.. and in my head i was so annoyed with myself.. i even got out early just so i could "soak up" anymore water.. and i live for long baths.. lol.. =/.

the thing is you're starting to learn that your weight doesnt control you.. YOU control your weight.. and if you're feeling happy, then thats a fantastic start.. You've done amazing.. im so glad i got to know you back in the day :p, and that i've seen your progress cos im so proud.. *wipes a tear away :p *
I really think you'll do well, and you'll not put it back on, and that you'll be in control.. Its all about your state of mind..
xx

I will read your posts and give big replies, honest...but right now my tea is on and I'm starving so just jotting it down :)

It really is ridiculous how obsessive you can become during WI day, such nonsense!! I think the moment you start realising things on your own and not when a leader etc tells you, that's when it definately clicks into place and makes the most sense!! Seem's like you've got it all sussed and got there on your own!! No doubt you'll manage your weight from now on perfectly!!! :D:D

i must be the only person who doesnt starve themselves before WI.. maybe why im still 15st LOL :D

you have done so well chick and im so pleased for you - i think you have a good head on those shoulders and im sure whatever you choose to do itll be the best for you :) xxx

It's bizarre isn't it the way we think, like any little additional weight could have this massive affect! I mean deep down I know shaving makes zero difference, but if I stepped on the scales, saw a gain I would look for reasons and simply didn't want to have reasons!

It really is about a state of mind! I can't be a slave to the scales in as much as I was becoming. It's not healthy, and would probably breed resentment over time! I'm happy with where I am now and I do have the confidence in myself to stay where I am without ever going back to what I once was!

Well you have been doing some reflection today. Its always useful to look back to try to work out where we were going wrong. It sounds like you have a good idea now how you can keep control.

I think we can all agree we have had or come close to some form of OCD prior to our weekly weigh ins. I know I certainly have . Its crazy how we torture ourselves into believeing even a shower/bath will effect our weight to such a degree.

From what I have read I think you are in control now......... keep that up and you will succeed in keeping the weight off :).

Hope you have a good week! Jo x

It really is insane! It probably shows how desperate we want it, but not in a good way! Rather than thinking about how we've stuck to plan all week etc we become more concerned with 'are these shorts heavier' or something else equally ridiculous!

I will keep checking on the scales, I simply cannot NOT do that...and never will! But I will not live in dread of the weekly step on to them now!

I really do hope I have it sussed it! I emailed almost the exact same post as I done on here to a mate and she got back to me with something like "I'm finally glad you see what I have been telling you for so long" and that struck a chord! It seems others seen it - and would tell me with me not listening - way before I did!

i must be the only person who doesnt starve themselves before WI.. maybe why im still 15st LOL :D

I think you are the better off one for not being obsessed on WI day (although I reckon you might be the minority ;) ).

A good head on my shoulders? Can I print that and frame it? :p I hope my choice is the best for me! I am controlled by an extreme fear now, I WILL NOT become that guy again! I can't! And quite frankly, I don't even think if I wanted to I could go back to being him now!

Cheers everyone for your replies, they do mean a lot! If I've missed anything in my reply to you please let me know :)

Aye, I think deep down we all know the routine does nothing at all in terms of affecting a weigh in...we just like to think it does!

Was in the office between 10 and 2 today doing some overtime so made a walk out of it.

(This only makes sense to people who know the Glasgow area).

I jumped the train out to Partick, from there walked to Charing Cross station, down to Anderston station, along to Central station, out along Argyle Street, in to Trongate and from there up to High Street Station for my train!

Easy :D

So you walked from Partick to trongate??? Good god are you bionic!! Brilliant!!! :D That must have clocked up a fair few miles??

I did aye, 3.2 miles according to Google Map Pedometer: Use This GMaps Pedometer to Draw Your Walking, Running, or Biking Route

Walking is my big saving grace as I have a dodgy left knee (bad accident when 16) so I can't do a too much in the way of exercise on it but walking is fine. Today I had the football on, most other times I use podcasts. As long as I have something to listen to I can walk for miles. My normal is about 6 miles a weekend.

Plus I can't drive so that enshrined laziness car owners develop isn't in my blood ;)
