I said I'd explain my weekend...so here it is direct from my blog. I am guessing as no one here reads my blog then it wont all make sense...so if you have any questions to help clear things, just ask!

It's hard to describe a perfect weekend. But, without really doing much I think I had the closest possible in a while.
Woke up on Saturday to glorious weather. I got some stuff done in the house, played my pipes then headed out. First port of call was Adlib for a set of drum sticks...I nearly forgot what those things were! Next I walked out to Mick's shop to get my snare drum back. Stayed for about 2 and a half hours keeping him entertained. After this I headed to Dave's parents place.
...now I am going to cut myself off here and mention I did all that walking in a black t-shirt and breaking in a pair of new black jeans that are down a size from my usual. Stupid stupid stupid!
...so aye. At Dave's the bass section - I think that's what we are called - of the backing band Dave's putting together did a wee practice. I was on percussion and a 'folk drum kit' I'm calling it of snare, floor tom and one cymbal. Much fun. Got to know the bassist a bit better, really nice guy. After this went home, sat on MSN then went to bed.
Sunday...brilliant! Bunch met at the Murdy Spar (also known as the South Street Spar to Stef) and headed up to the cliff in glorious walking weather. Another bunch were there but they were quite cool and even had some Rise Against on the go! Can't complain.
In the water was the first time I had swam since I was about 14 I think. Was weird at first, took a bit of remembering but after that I was loving it. As Ruth described it, I was easily the happiest person there! Check the contentment:
Happy, I had it!
Walked back, then I went home and fannied about as usual then went to bed. Woke up for work this morning still high as a kite, and work today was fine because of it. Hard to describe the major high it put me on, maybe I am just comparing it to the low after last weekend but jesus, that was really needed!!!
Oh and, just to finish...I sat for half an hour last Sunday at 5.15am, and took about 30 pictures in order to get this:
May sound gay but I was in utter awe watching that sun rise!
