I too am mortified at the non snack a jack popcorn?? We dont have this in Oz and some of the names you guys have for food, cracks me up! like quorn and jacks!

Yeah us women are quite structured. Today is the first day (day 4) that I have felt a little thin and that this new CCing thing (i've done it before but not for many years) might just be working. YAY!!!

You and I are about the same weight too! we should set us a challenge?

This because I'm meeting my wee brother after work before pipe band as he is joining the band and can't have him sitting about my work all night with me! :rolleyes:

Lentil and ham! Was utterly superb!



Ok I told people a while back there was maybe going to be a big change with me coming soon. And I can finally say what it is as it is confirmed.

As of a week on Wednesday (would have been this Wednesday but I have something else on) I am joining Weight Watchers.

Now why? You may ask.

First off a mate of mine said she was going to start going so that planted the thought in my mind.

Secondly I have been kicking about the same weight roughly for about a year, anything lost would end up back on but I have never went over (which I consider a good thing) and reckon this would be the kick up the 4rse I need to get to where I want to be.

So for the next week and a half I am going to enjoy myself. Not extract the urine over my eating but not totally hang back. Then come the evening of Sept 23rd that will be me in to the full swing.

And having a mate with me (and vice versa we think) will be good as we can go back and forth and talk to each other all the time about it and, of course, go to WIs together.

So....that's what I'm going to be doing :)

Good choice Puggso WW is a good way to go.
And bonus on the no food is restricted as long as you point it!!

I am high as a kite the now! Found out this morning Paramore tickets went on sale today so took an early lunch and went and got some standing. Guy said there wasn't many left!

I think WW is just like calorie counting. Think that's why i am enjoying it again as I feel like I have freedom. I tried my old program with weighing foods and then to CD and then on Ultra Life (weighing and low carb with vit's) and now the past 5 days on CCing and loving it.

You will find the switch easy and will enjoy it. Sometimes we need a change and to shake our bodies up a little and what better way than the healthy and sensible way. Congrats!

HEY AG and Puggso hope you are both having a good weekend. i have done about 1400 cals today. Just had a glass of wine. 3.5ltrs of water and 2 green teas. I even managed the gym for 30 mins.

Going to try and get my jogging on the tread mill at the gym back up, providing my knees will let me.

I spent yesterday away with the pipe band in Pitlochry where we won our grade :D Weather was astounding too, hit about 20. Which for Scotland in September is unreal! Loved it!

We got 29 here in Melbourne the other NIGHT! Lovely but also quite unexpected for spring. It's usually around November this weather.

i gained this morning ridiculously after a great weekend with food, water and exercise?? 1.6kg's?!!!

Hopefully tomorrow my body will sort itself out.

Do you WI everyday? I wouldn't recommend that as it is amazing how much your body can change day to day by doing next to nothing different.
 
Try not to but obviously when you start a new program and you are feeling positive you enjoy seeing the initial losses.

This morning scales revealed a 300gm loss from the freak gain the morning before. Then today I still remained focused and good with cals and thought before my shower I will see what I am in the evening.... Shock of my life, scales said a 1kg loss from this morning!!!

So will see in the morning again. I just want to know that things have sorted themselves after months and months of restricting carbs and certain foods etc. Then Puggso I promise not to weigh until Sat morning as I fly out (home) for 2 weeks and wont be able to weigh.

How is WW going?? Day 2 yeah?

Today I have consumed 1220cals.

I'm with you on the WI often but I agree with Puggs it's detrimental to the cause sometimes.

Tell me about it!

I am just going to reassure myself in the morning (hopefully they are kind to me) otherwise water off a ducks back! Then Sat before I go away and then not for 2 weeks. Think that is the scariest as when I haven't been on in a while I panic about getting back on them. Know what I mean?
