Purple Hugs - Babe in arms!!

lol thanks Vickie.. I'm hoping in some ways you are right :) Things are so different this time I won't be surprised if bump is here early. lol
But we'll see! lol

Am shattered now, headed off to a retail park this morning - didn't open till 11am so hit tesco's then a few shops (next, new look etc with the girls). Pizza hut for lunch and then the horse. :)
Back aching and BH 15 mins apart again tonight... so lots of relaxation.

off to bed, BH still going.. 10 mins apart now, so hopefully they'll ease off when I hit the sack.

6 days till I'm full term and can stay home for my home birth! :)
Hope MW is positive still on Wed. :D

Oh sweetie, just posted on your thread.. will wait for your reply. x

Hi PH!

BH must be getting you a bit worried hehe, fantatic newd that your home birth is getting days closer!! You are so brave having baby at home, i couldnt because dogs would probably walk in hahaha

Glad everything is ok with you and gorgeous baby! Sorry not been round much been up the wall!

Lots of love xxxxxx

Great to see you back - will check out whats been going on with you in a tick.
Thanks and yes the BH's have me hoping.. but worrying! lol just 5 more days.. assuming my Iron count is ok for them to sign me off for HB.
I have 2 terriers - who bark at the door and get excited when new people arrive.. so am planning on doping them! lol poor boys but it was my sisters idea - who is a vet nurse. Haven't got their drugs yet though so have requested she send them soon! lol Or they'll be in their 'travel' kennel in the back of the car otherwise! lol

I'm not brave birthing at home though, just practical. Don't want to be blue lighted to hospital 18 miles away then DH would have to get a cab as he doesn't drive - and the girls would have to go to neighbour which doesn't normally happen as we're close knit. So all in all will be much better if we are together as we always are. Girls have the option of the neighbour if they need it still and if things go wrong then we'll cope with the hospital scenario if we have to.

I was up to 2 mins apart last night on BH - but pain level just isn't high enough to be 'real' - I'm seeing my MW tomorrow so will have to chat to her about them. Also the 'true' boundary of 37 weeks - as what if I go into labour at 36+5.. do i REALLY have to go to hospital? hmm.. lol I'm sure she'll give me a knowing look but fact is they wouldn't be able to force me. lol

Bump is quiet again today but was active from 10-1am last night so no fears there, I have felt her move a bit just not much. She seems to have dropped a bit too, can feel her a bit lower and have more space under my bust.

Anyway.. there we are, my ramblings for today! lol

hey babes. i was considering a home birth until i realised that all my neighbours would be able to hear me :S i live in a back to back terrace and the walls aren't the most soundproof... so yes, i think i've forgotten that idea now, there's only so much privacy i'm willing to give up, ha.

abz xx

lol I'm hoping there isn't too much to hear! ;) though with my first I wasn't the most silent it wasn't the sort of birth I want to repeat to be honest.
So fingers x'd my semi-attached neighbours get some sleep! lol

Off shopping this morning and for a nosey around a retail park a bit, then have MW just after school run - going to do a mad dash from school so the girls can come with me and DH of course. :) Might have to have my iron retested so will see what they say about that. ;)
Fingers x'd get the all clear for my home birth still though.. we'll see. :D

Wind n' rain again here, so hoping it dries up soon.

lol at ur pooches they sound just like mine, theyd love to come and have a nose so home birth is out the window for me, plus the idea of looking around my house the next day thining ahhh thats where i ha the baby scares me hahaha

but i totally agree with as least upheaval as poss for your little one, and hubby wont miss a thing!!

I want a water birth, but will have to see how things go...

I dont have a diary sweet as they always seem unlucky for me on this site lol

But basically i Got married on saturday and had my 4d scan on Sunday, will put piccies up at some point but at the mo im knackered was back in work Monday lol

just a couple of days left for the all clear sweet :d let me know as soon as they know about your iron levels etc...

That chart really surprised me with the dates as well, fingers crossed 43 weeks is NOT when im having my baby heheh

xxxx

Aww Lauren HUGE congrats on getting married! You dark horse you! lol
Hope you'll be as happy as DH and I! ((Hugs)) marriage is a GREAT thing don't listen to the sceptics! lol
Look forward to seeing the 4d scans.. i was tempted i must admit. :)

Well saw my MW today - well two of them. They took blood test for iron count again - if it's under 11 I may not get my homebirth.. though I know the national average is 10.5 so i may argue if it's between the 2. I have promised DH I won't risk anything if it's below 10.5 so we'll see what it is and go from there... can't say I'd look forward to going into hospital because I wouldn't but can't risk anything to me or baby.

Girls and DH came with me today LO was a bit upset when they took the bloods but we reassured her and that helped. She has never seen anyone having bloods done.

Baby is no longer engaged! naughty baby.. she's been 3/5 for the last 4 weeks! lol but she can go in and out as she pleases as she's No.2.

But all else was fine. :)

From sunday if I go into labour i can stay at home - till they get the results of my bloods then we'll 'see'.

Everything crossed for you for yur results hun, i would have eat 3 steaks and 15 iron tablets heheh

Cant wait to find out if you can have your baby at home im so excited for you!!

3 sleeps and you are in the clear!! No curry, sex, excercise, nothing!!!

i love being married, and yep there have been plenty of sceptics and plenty of "shot gun wedding" comments but iv never been happier and my baby would be loved no less either way so who cares!

Will put piccies up soon promise im just absoutely pooped hehe

xxxxx

Thanks girls - fingers x'd they come back ok.
Hit rock bottom last night and spent most of the night fighting tears. But headed out for a bit of retail therapy with DH and a chat - in quiet shops as we were there before some of them opened. lol
Anyway.. I have said if I HAVE to go in, then I will but not till I feel I can't 'cope' at home with the pain or travelling soon. So laughed about getting there fully dialated.. after all it's not the labour that could pose a problem, it's the bleeding after.

Lauren - 3 more sleeps sounds exciting.. if it weren't still up to the bloods. lol I can't eat steak as I'm veggie, and can't OD on the tablets either as they give me the runs :(. I have considered it.. lol

Anyway.. I'll pack my bag be-grudingly in the hope I don't need it, and see how things go. If baby is on my side she'll arrive on Sunday but that is blooming unlikely! lol :p and is a bit selfish of me to think that way.
I even thought about throwing the results away when they arrive - lol yes I was THAT low last night.

Still.. got some lovely wallpaper in laura ashley today (bargain price) and have chosen a pink polka dot design for the babies room - we are going to get it in 2 weeks or so. :) won't be put up till after xmas but will be lovely and go lovely with a pair of curtains I have in lilac with white polka dot border. lol
So.. that's what cheered me up! :D

Lauren - don't listen to the sceptics and the great thing is baby will have your DH's name from the start. Erin had my surname till she was registered - the hospital wouldn't put her under her dads name as we weren't married.
Look forward to the pics when you have time. x x

Thanks minime :)

Well..... got my results!!
:talk017::talk017::talk017:
10.9!!!
OMG am soooo pleased!
:dancing_snowman:

I'm ready to argue 0.1 if I need to but doubt I'll need to, given that I have 3 weeks 3 days left. ;) And will carry on with supplement.

so.. as Lauren kindly pointed out..

3 sleeps till I can have my homebirth!!
YAY!

PH thats great news :) Get eating spinach and kids breakfast cereals which are fortified with Iron. Don't forget you need the vitamin C along side.

been doing all of above for 2 weeks shell :) it's obviously worked as it must've been lower than it is today.
MW called and said to double my dose of supplement and all will be fine. :D :D

woohoo! keep on doing what ya been doing, a pint of guiness with side order of spinach? Yum!

I eat spinach normally as part of my diet, but ewww to guiness.. not a drinker and certainly not a guinness drinker. lol I have malibu and pineapple for after baby arrives.. I could crack that out but think the pineapple will have a different affect! lol ;) only kidding by the way - I don't drink when pregnant at all and hardly normally anyway - only a tipple over xmas and new year or on a special occaision. lol

Am very chuffed about the result though and knowing the day after tomorrow I'm ok for my home birth! Sounds blooming good. :D
