Purpleds Maintaining Diary

Well I've been told to look for a dress I like and then if I want lace arms I can add that afterwards. As I'm limiting myself by only looking for dresses with arms. Which is true as they are non in the shops. But to be honest when I tried these dresses on my arms never even looked that fat. And my skin on my arms has gone lovely and smooth since using non bio wash powder lol!! So maybe a change of heart on the arms.

I'm sat in macdonalds with a black coffee and no food. You know what.....I'm not even bothered about the calories. Something about this place makes me feel a little bit sick. If I was gonna get a meal I'd get KFC. It's only a recent thing too....maybe my lack of want for meat has transferred to macdonalds. A fish burger sounds disgusting. Going for a pub meal after OH finishes in gym! Then going cinema.

Breakfast
Porridge and almond milk
Blueberries

Lunch
Homemade bread bun with tuna and salad

Snacks so fat
Apple, banana, grapes, yogurt, shortbread, mixed nuts, 2 Italian biscuits, pic and mix (in cinema)

For pub meal I feel like something with fries/onion rings and corn on the cob.

So pleased that you are happy in your body Purple you have worked so hard for it and really deserve it.

It is very strange getting used to - its been about a decade since I was the size I am now so that's been a lot of years in between of not being happy with my body in varying degrees. Fitting into any clothes I fancy and not having to hide in baggy clothes is very liberating yet strange! You really have undergone a huge weight loss and transformation so it's perfectly acceptable to be a bit emotional about that I reckon :)

Etsy is probably pretty good for dresses as it will be mostly dressmakers on there just doing it for some extra cash. Another cheap option is china/hong kong sites that make replicas of designer dresses for a fraction of the cost but it can be very hit and miss quality wise and accuracy to measurements. There's plenty positive reviews but also lots of nightmare stories out there too.

Sounds like you are being very sensible about it all - that's exactly how I feel about it too I want to have a lovely day if course but don't feel the need to spend crazy amounts of money on it all. I would rather have a really nice honeymoon with that money :p where is it you are off to you have booked your honeymoon havnt you? X

Not updated this in a while but......a positive thing to say. I tried some dresses on yesterday. I liked this place better, the lady wasn't snobby, and she was down to earth. It wasn't posh and it was just a nicer experience. Plus I went alone. Anyway I stripped down to my underwear while this lady put my dress on over my head. This sounds such a silly thing to be proud of. But seriously the only person who ever sees me in my underwear is my OH. Even when I used to skate and I was tinyyyy, I'd get changed under my jumper lol! So I'm Suprised! Found another lovely dress (in a different style) for £625 which is half what the 1st dress i liked cost.

I think I'm going to use the mini pumpkin as decoration Janine. Scoop out the inside and have some tea light candles. My mum has grown me 2 normal size pumpkins so I will cook with these.

Laura- we are going to st lucia. 5 star hotel, All the crazy sports are included in the price. Canoeing, kayaking, scuba diving, diving etc! Plus so is premium brand alcohol and food. There are 15 different resturants. Plus we can use all 3 of their resorts. We also have out own Jacuzzi too! I have never been on an all inclusive holiday or beach holiday in my life lol. In the past 5 years I've even to Paris, NewYork, Vegas, La, Toronto, Montreal, Washington, I travelled South coast Australia for a few months, Amsterdam, Barcelona......probably a few other places but I never ha chance to relax on any of them as there is so much to see.

But a relaxing holiday is what I need, plus we can play tennis in the sunshine for a change.

Not much to share food wise. I spent £80 in tesco yesterday and I discovered idle? Lidle? Sells some yummy nice things. Same brands as abroad.

Today I will make beef casserole with dumplings....pictures to follow!

St Lucia so jealous. Always wanted to go there. What was the new dress like? Beef casserole and dumplings mmmmm

Really glad dress shopping was a pleasant experience this time :) What is this dress like? How far off do you think you are from choosing one?

The honeymoon sounds absolutely amazing! Very envious. I know exactly what you mean about holidays where you don't get to relax, mine are far less exotic of course but when we go on holiday we are always out and "doing" things, or else it feels like we've wasted the opportunity so I am sure it will be great to have the honeymoon specifically designed around relaxing.

Look forward to pictures of beef stew. Its definitely that weather now.

Yup it's in the cooker now while I am at inlaws. Just need to throw dumplings in it when I get back!

The dress was super supportive, like she must have taken 2 inches off me with that corset. Rather than the dress be made of lace it was like a sheer ivory fabric with lace designs seen onto it. It had a train that can be adapted in the evening to be part of the dress and no train present. Plus again I fitted the sample size 12 and 5ft9 so perfect length. I can't find many of this designer dresses online. The designer is 'phil Collins' which is a cheaper line of dresses but the quality felt the same as the 'maggie Sottero' dress that is double the price.

I have 2 more shops want to look in. Then I need to order one by mid November.

I don't make pretty food. I make tasty food. All gone! I love chunky slow cooked carrots and parsnips. I've used the last of the potatoes from y garden :(
Plus we are what was left in slow cooker. 1st attempt at dumplings went well :)

Wrong plate size....but breakfast 2 egg omelette with ham, onion and cheese! Yum! Plus my dad has a new mobile he can't use and when I ring I can here him talking but not to me lol. He should be kept away from new technology and stick to an old Nokia style phone. I obviously knew it was him as he's in America lol!! Told him to get to bed and play with his new toy in the morning. I prefer when he just calls me. As when I text him it just costs too much.

Winter today! I have some boot socks on which means I'll be wearing warm boots. I have my knitted poncho on. I'm going to buy a coat that fits, some hair extensions (to add volume, random) and some new work tops. Shopping time!! Woop!

Beef stew looks scrummy. Especially the carrots. I also love slow cooked carrots in a stew. Mmmmm. I have my slow cooker out today but randomly to make breakfasts rather than dinner! Spiced pumpkin porridge. Not tried it before but optimistic about the outcome.

The sweet haul is amazing - there are things I have never heard of, and more types of M&M that I even imagined could exist. I am sure OH will be willing to share the bounty. If he knows whats good for me anyway...

Have fun shopping. I don't *need* a new coat as I bought one last year but they do have a surprisingly pretty coat in Sainsburys at the moment that I have been oggling every time I go shopping. Trying very hard not to buy clothes until after Christmas. However much that sucks. So I shall awaits pictures of your shopping and try and hit my retail hit vicariously.

. . . While I'm Sat with my tuna melt panini and coffee I'll share what I forgot to say this morning. Plus 1lbs!! I think the no exercise is helping me gain a lot. So when I start exercising again I am going to have to carry on eating the same amount to maintain.

Found a coat but I need a size up as I wear thick jumpers on in winter.

Okay so I have seen this dress, its on John Lewis, Debenhams, House of Fraser and Phase Eight. It is a very simple design but also very detailed up close and I can't stop thinking about how lovely and different it is. This is more my style of dress. The trouble is that wedding dress shops cater for the mass market. Big puffy glittery boob tube wedding dresses with a million underskirts. It really isn't me. Thing is....I'm not sure whether this style of dress will suit my figure and actually whether it will be long enough. I can order it and have 28days to send it back or if I order from House of Fraser I can take it back to the store for a refund. I guess I won't know until I try. Some reviews have said it is very flattering but not as thick as it looks. Anyway I thought I would share my findings. If I did buy it I'd get it online 10% cashback at quidco.

In other news............This evening I had bolagnase with carrot and peas and about 70g dried pasta between the two of us. We ran out :(
But made us a wrap pizza type thing as well!!

The dress looks fab and I love that its different from the norm.

I went to a wedding fayre today with my friend who's getting married. Loads of lovely jewellery and hair accessories and photos and invitations. There was also a seller that had some amazing vintage dresses I was too scared to ask how much hahah :p did take their card though! X

The dress is pretty but as you say you will see when you get it. I think it will suit your shape and I am sure it will be long enough but you can't tell until its on. Make sure you take a picture of it on for us xx

I'm good thanks! Been working hard! Not exercising and eating lots!! Gained another 1lb woop woop! So I'm happy as I am now and want to stay this weight. I need to update my stats actually.

My wedding dress arrived and it is gorgeous! Like it looks so plain and simple and vintage. Up close there are so many beads and detail. Not tried it on yet! This is the dress I saw before I even tried any dresses on. I'll try it on later and take a photo for advice and opinions. This weekend I am going to meadowhall (free train ticket woo) and they have bridal sections in monsoon, coast and debenhams. So gonna try some on. But hoping this dress I try on later will look as stunning on me as it does in its box as I love it. But I'm afraid i'll look crap and ruin my love for this dress lol!!

Glad you have reached the point with your weight where you feel happy, that's great news.

I think the dress should really suit you, will definitely look forward to the pictures later.

Oh can't wait to see pictures. Does it seem see through as I know that's one of the comments wasn't it?

It's beautiful - I'm sure close up the detail looks amazing. Please please take pictures soon - soooo excited. I killed half an hour nosing in a bridal shop near me yesterday to try and find something for you but it was all a bit gypsy ish. Xxx
