Purpleds Maintaining Diary

Aww we'll I'm sure your dreaming of your own wedding renewal. Lol

Okay I tried it on and it's fit....size 10. But do my hips look huge
image-4145931395.jpg
Like my measurement around my hips are the same as my bust but they are just massive.

Love the dress! but not sure if I'm imagining massive hips. I can't take a photo as I'm struggling to fit my body in properly. But I'm going to get my mums opinion tomorrow or sat so ill get her to take some pics. It Definatly shows my waist, which is my tiniest bit. It is a tiny bit see through buy comes with a slip that is optional. I'm not wearing it in the pic. I think I'd try one of those pulls me in body suit things lol

Anyway it's nicer than shop dresses but I just need my mums opinion if my hips look massive. As she is very honest. Very very honest.

Honestly in that picture you look like you have a gorgeous figure. It's hard to see without seeing all of you so make sure you get your mum to take a picture but I think you look amazing. Xxx

Okay! She's coming over after works so I'll snap some pics!!

I have just seen the most disgusting thing ever in my freezer:

An Iceland 'Frozen Breakfast Wrap' what the hell? So I asked the OH and apparently they sell frozen everything. Sandwiches/baked potato/panini/mcmuffin
What is this world coming to?? Looks and sounds disgusting. I said....we have wraps, we have eggs, we have bacon, we have sausage; we have tomato. He said.....this is quicker.

Gross!!!

So I put my new stats into WW for maintenance points. I need 35 points per day and 49 weeklies. 35 points a day was what I started on in January when I weighed 206lbs!

So infact while I have been trying to gain I have probably been eating 60-70 points per day. So this is a cut back. But I'm going to eat all activity points the day I earn them!! Once I maintain for 3/4 weeks in a row I should have an idea what I need to have. I'll stop ww and listen to my body!!! :)

Looking forward to the full length pictures - don't think your hips look out of proportion at all in the picture you posted but its difficult to see the "overall" look without seeing all of you!

I think maintenance points seem a bit more of an "art" than a "science" so sensible to see how the ww recomendations work now you are planning on maintaining rather than gaining.

35 really doesn't seem that many more than losing does it?

It's an extra 8 per day so 320 per day

= 56 per week

Doesn't seem many really. But I guess if I'm eating what I burn off!

Quick pop in on some diaries :) love the dress very pretty, fab news on fitting into a 10 as well - I think it shows off your figure and curves and looks fab but its about how you feel in it really x

Hi guys!!

So today I am going to Meadowhall (Sheffield) got me free train ticket lol! While I'm there I am going to coast/monsoon bridal and I'll try some wedding dresses on and take some pics. Then share them with you. I'll upload my other pic from camera when I get in. Then I'm gonna decide whether to choose..or pay the extra and get one made for me. There is nothin in the wedding shops I like. They are just too glamorous, sparkly, uncomfortable and big!!

So anyway I've just have a bacon sandwich with brown sauce and a coffee. Train goes soon!!! I love shopping alone. I need a dress for a night out too!!

Okay and my OH is a huge Bryan Adams fan. When I first met him like after 3 months he said 'if you could play this song I,d love you forever' on the piano obviously lol.

Well it's 'everything I do I do it for you' so I thought I'd get the sheet music in meadowhall. The song does annoy me a little bit, but I could play it for him for Xmas/Valintines/anniversary or wedding!!
I'm so nice!

Have a good day everyone!! I may just use my train time to catch up with you all!! Xx

You are such a romantic :) the wedding would be a nice place to play it - sentimental.

Have a great day out xxx

Yeah but it's not one of my favourite songs!! Lol!!

Must be a quote of mine recently 'I know this wedding isn't all about me but........I don't like that idea'

I should be happy he wants to be involved but I think I have a better view of what goes together. He picks nice things but forgets about everything else we have picked that doesn't match lol

I didn't involve my hubby in any part of the wedding but picking his suit and collecting the cake (it came down with his grandparents from Wokingham) so I can't relate to that - but bollocks it's all about the bride!! :) xxx

Hope you have a fab shopping day. I also find shopping alone much better, other people just get in the way! And I tend to not trust their opinions very much anyway, how I feel in something is always a better indication of whether I am going to wear it if I buy it. OH isn't too bad. We go to London every year for a long weekend and spend the day shopping in Camden (wierdo shopping heaven!!). After many years he has honed his skills of shopping companion.

I was supposed to go to Turkish/Greek resturant tonight but cancelled. So I'm making something with udon noodles, pak choi (lat from garden) and like a soy pork chilli type thing. I'll take a photo.

Okay so I know now that maxi style dresses don't suit me. I'm to tall for monsoon dresses and my body is dam strange lol!! But I also know fitted things that show off my curves is the way to go.

See the photos attached. The first pic that dress is too big, the second pic the dress fits. Now I never bought either of those dresses. But the black one was reduced from £60 to £15!!!!! It wasn't tight but it just felt like a big step.....I'm comfortable with my body but I still worry what others may think. I need something sophisticated and classy to wear as my OH has won an award and we are going to a ceremony and 3 course meal. But why did I think I should wear black???? Because its slimming! Er NEWS FLASH I'm not overweight anymore I don't need something slimming. Anyway I'm walking past gorgeous dresses and not even thinking about trying them on. I need to get a brain transplant and mentally I'm still a fat person. Anyway I did find an amazing dress. It's classy, fitted and suits my body type. And its er......pink! ive never worn pink in my life! But 10 was tight and 14 big! So I'm gonna order online. But it's a big brave step!! Luckily none of these people know me!! I always thought when I got thin I'd wanna show my body off to the world. But I still feel I need to hide. I know I'm not fat, I know a year ago I'd kill for my body now. I wish I could snap out of it.

But I could kill my mum.....when she saw me in my dress (the one I like) she said I need to tone up a bit for it to be perfect. Now I never said anything to her. But I keep going over and over it in my head. Why would she say that? Like if she thought it she should say.....'I think this isn't the right style' or 'maybe something like this' but she has made me feel like crap!! Maybe I do need to tone up. But I'm shocked she said it! As its not been an easy few months and I havnt been exercising. Blah

Anyway wedding dress photos will come up later......I need to stick laptop on!!!

These are from monsoon...all very pretty but all have their issues. 3 of them too short, too much bra padding. Too much sparkle. Bit boring. Too floaty for my body. I don't look fat. But it hides my curves. Wouldn't buy any of these.

image-2031904419.jpgimage-3251500879.jpg
Next we have bhs! Couldn't try their long dresses as there were size 20 so tried the short dresses. Didn't really fit me and look boring.

image-1931767194.jpg
This dress from coast actually was long. I needed a size smaller as the boob tube bit was falling down but I liked this the most out of all of them I saw today!!

I wouldn't buy any of the above dresses.

This is the dress I tried the other night:

image-2462114426.jpg
This is a more realistic photo of the quality. The other pics show the shape but my mums photos were rubbish and blury. The dress is cream. The photos my mum took it looks white.

I love the style of it. My mum is right I probably do need to tone up but....I thought I'd get a suck me in suit lol!! And my knees are on the men's so I will be hitting the gym again soon. Also I adde my pippa Middleton moment in there lol!!

So out of all the dresses I have tried on or seen this is my favourite so far. Plus it's more my style. I do have 2 other wedding shops to visit. What do you guys think? Be Honest!!

Although its black I totally love that black dress on you - really shows of your amazing figure. Do you have a link for the pink dress and yes you really do need to start realising you have lost all the weight and you look fabulous xxx

Ok don't like the monsoon dresses, love the coast dress but my favourite by a mile is the one you ordered. It's stunning and you look fantastic in it. How do you feel about yourself in it though as you need to be comfortable? And ummmm where do you need I tone up exactly???

Do you have a picture of you in the other dresses you tried on from the bridal shops that you previously liked? When are you in the other shops? Xxx

Nope unfortunately not as the owner wouldn't let me take a photo.

I agree with monsoon dresses....look better on someone with a petite frame. The coast one was nice but very thin fabric. But I loved the lace flowers.

The dress I ordered is sooo comfortable. I feel good in it too.
The ones I tried on in the shops were corsets and not as comfortable but felt good and more structured. But I would need help going to toilet etc as they we're just a lot bigger. The two I liked in the shops, there was only really one of them I'd buy. The other was too expensive.

Anyway two shops next week. But at least I have an option now :)

My dinner.....very yummy and super spicy!

Looks very yum. Good luck with the dress shopping. Out of curiosity how much is the dress you like? Xx

£400 but £360 as I ran it through quidco! The brand is phase eight. But I didn't order it from their site as it was £450.
It's not really about cost but I don't wanna spend over 1k on a dress. So I've ignored any dresses that look nice and cost over 1k. Well technically my mum is buying, but I don't want her to spend over 1k. Just not worth it for any dress.

That's a really reasonable price for a dress. It's got so much detail in it. To me it looked like it cost a lot more which is why I asked :) xx

Being honest I don't really rate any of the dresses that you tried on yesterday. They all seem quite shapeless and almost cheap looking. The best option by far seems to be the one that you bought. I really can't see anywhere that the dress shows up that you need toning up at all (I really don't understand your mum's comment). Your figure looks great in that dress and it definitely seems the most individual. It also seems to be the one you feel most comfortable in which I think is the most important consideration of all.

Dinner also looks really nice. What is it?
