QUEEN SIZE TO PRINCESS

Sounds like things are really tough at the mo Debz- hope things seems brighter soon.

So sorry to hear that Debz :(

Lost 5lb tonight :D

Aww Debz I'm soo sorry to hear that. Life can be soo cruel cant it. PLease dont beat yourself up though & if you need to chat we're all here for you.

Cherry Blossom, well done on the fabulous loss this week.

I'm still sticking to my red days in an attempt to shake things up a bit & although I would give my right arm for a big bowl of rice I am actually managing not too bad. I have to admit that its great not having to think about the 1/3 superfree at mealtimes but the funny thing is that throughout the day I am probably eating more fruit & veg than I would have on EE without trying!!

thanks Sweet Pink, I will be fine. Just finding things hard but will get there!!
What do you have on a typical red day, i was thinking of changing over from ee :D
xx

Cherry Blossom- thats a fab loss, well done!

Debz- I have great losses on red - I dont do red any more as the EE fits better with the family but it should really suit you with the pcos.

Good morning all
:happy036: on the great losses everyone :woohoo:

Well I have to report in that for the last 2 weeks I have been doing the "30 day shred" DVD and now I take my measurements from all over not just bust, waist, hips -and yesterday I thought I would re-measure and in 2 weeks I have lost 24.5cms :0icanfly: -the biggest single loss being 7.5cms off my waist :bunnydance: -and 2.5cm off my belly (wish it was the other way round though as if my waist gets smaller my "fatta podge" will look bigger)
I have to say that Im more than a little :banana dancer: and I think I LOVE jillian Michaels :p

Hubby is on duty today so I only have myself to sort out -sooo its avocado (7) and kassler salad for lunch and THEN home made oven chips (0.5), 2 quorn sausages, fried onions (0.5) and ketchup for dinner tonight -so all in all a  day :D

Hope everyone has a good day.. keep up the great work everyone

Have a look in the book but basically from memory:

2 hex a's
2 hex b's

So breakfast could be a big brekkie of egg, bacon, mushroom, toms, syn free sausages a hex b of toast

or something simple like weetabix or toast using a hex b

Lunches can be big meaty salads, ham, chicken lots of salady bits and a hex of bread or a jacket potato 8oz which is a hex b on red.I used to have toast with tinned makerel fillets on.

Suppers can be meats/fish but syn your potatoes, sweetcorn or starchy veg

Good luck!

Blimey Capricorn, thats great!

I am making scotch eggs for tonights tea and they are looking pretty good- going to do new pots, salad and a h/m coleslaw with them.

WELL DONE MRS !!!!!
What is the 30 day shred dvd, sounds fab!!! Would love to try it.

How are things with huni? Feel like I have not spoke to you in ages xx

Debz- look in the food diaries section of the site for good ideas on what to do on red.

Capricorn that is FAB!!!!! I've been toying with the idea of attempting the shred & those results are brilliant. Is it really as tough as everyone says for the first few days??

Debz, I've been keeping my red quite basic until I get a bit surer of what I can have but this is my mealplan for today

BREAKFAST
1/2 grapefruit
42g All bran (B) with banana mullerlight

LUNCH
chicken & bacon omlette

TEA
Cod loins
veg
227g (B) potato with skin on sliced & baked in the oven

SNACKS
apple
melon
snack a jacks (4.5)
highlight mousse (3)
options hot choc made with milk (A + 2 syns)

Plus a packet syn free ham for emergencies!!! ;)

So easy Debz.To make 8 this is the recipe, Get some syn free sausages- you will have to check out the ones you use but I use the morrisons lowest ones which are syn free. Boil the eggs for 10 mins on a rapid boil then plunge in cold water and take the shells off. Slit the skins off the sausages and flatten each sausage ito a circle and wrap around the eggs. Get 2 slices of nimble bread and whizz in the food processor to make breadcrumbs and roll the eggs covered in sausage into the breacrumbs. Put on a baking sheet and spray with frylight and cook off on about 160 for 20 mins or so.5 syns for 8 scotch eggs, not bad eh!

I serve them with h/m coleslaw sald and pots. Hubby takes the leftovers in his pack up for work so they are nice cold or hot.

Debz -this is the 30 day shred

Jillian Michaels - 30 Day Shred [DVD] [2007]: Amazon.co.uk: DVD
Jillian is one of the trainers on biggest loser USA
Im fine thanks... the lovely sunshine is helping :D

SweetPink
I really expected the shred to half kill me  -but Im addicted
I follow "anita" on the DVD -she does the easier version of some things -like doing press ups on your knees rather than full ones (couldn't do them if I tried :p)
the whole thing including warm up n cool down is 30mins I have noticed a big difference from when I first started -I can get through it now without missing a beat. I can't do bicycle crunches though so I do a variation.
I don't know what your routine is with work etc -but I find it easiest to leave my workout clothes in the bathroom at night then I just fall out of bed and into the bathroom, plait my hair on the way down stairs, flick the kettle on for my lemon n warm water, switch the dvd on and by the time I have my lemon and get my trainers on you have missed all the blurb on the start and you are ready to go - then its out of the way for the day ;)

Im planning on staying on level 1 for as long as I need -I don't see much point in trying to go to fast and either injuring myself of putting myself off ;)

Thanks Capricorn. I might just have to give it a go after hearing your stats after just 2 weeks. AT the minute I'm on the crosstrainer most days but at least 5 out of 7 if you know what I mean & stomach crunches morning & night. The dvd sounds like there would be a bit more variety though. Very wise staying at level 1 I think I would do the same in fear of doing myself an injury  I usually do my exercise in the evening after I get the kids to bed...crosstrainer while watching Eastenders ..but I think with the DVD I would probably do it during the day..maybe when I get the little one down for her nap seeing as its only (I'll not being saying that when I'm doing it I'm sure!!) 30 minutes!!!

What weights do you use with it??

evening ladies!!!

Evening all! 2 lbs off for me tonight so now 1st 4.4 lbs which I'm pleased with.

Debz hugs to you and hope you get on with the red days. Check out recipes for diet coke chicken and gammon and also tuna is a great speed food!

Hope everyone else is going good! X x x

P.s Capricorn your shred is very impressive! Hope I get into exercise soon!!!

:wave_cry: Well my exercise plans are going to have to be put on hold for a few days at least as I slipped on our decking this morning (hate decking soooo much) & have twisted my knee. Hopefully it won't take too long to get better but I'm gutted coz I was really enjoying a good blast on the crosstrainer in the evening. I hope everyones days have got off to a better start than mine
