Quins; back to the plan.

1669 miles cycled , 45 more v hard hills today! 1714 total

B. Scrambled egg on 2 nimble hovis Danish

Bike ride. Thought about dropping down a group, but wanted to go out with a group at 0900. Stuck with my usual group of intermediates. If I felt rough I would just jump off the back of the group and go home. A gentle, flat ride would have been ideal, little did I know that we were heading out on some of the hardest climbs I have done to date! Don't tell mrs Quins. Out to Bredgar via Weirton Hill and Thurnham hill plus another ridiculous steep climb. At one stage I was only doing 4mph up hill, barley moving, any slower and I would have fallen off, that was faster that some of the group! Coffee stop was welcome on top of the North Downs, having crossed the pilgrims way. That wrong'un skull cap made me look like a pilgrim or a Russian astronaut. The run home was punctuated with punctures ( see what I did there?) 2 for the same bloke, how's your luck. First was a hawthorn, as big and strong as a nail, we struggled to get it out of the tyre, then 20 mins later he ran over a stone that pinged out from his wheel and gave an instant flat as we were hitting some good speed, we all saw it. I rode home from there on my own. 45 miles , shorter than usual but a tough one. I was pleased to have completed under the circumstances of taking anti bios. Will see how I feel by Monday.

1714 miles cycled, 52 more miles today total 1766 miles. Had to attend to one of our lady cyclists who had been knocked off her bike by a young lady driver. Both were in shock, cyclist had a nasty bruise on her chin, dislocated finger...eventually medics turned up. Low morning sun, the young lady didn't see her. What a start. Last night I saw a car being cut open by firemen, the driver was still in it, shocking. I can't understand what happened to that car, it was in a place where the volume if traffic usually means you can't go fast, it looked like it had been on its roof. Oh, that was in my way home from emergency dentist, thought my tooth had been hurting, bit on a sandwich , ouch, looked in mirror and fiddled with it and a huge slice of tooth fell away. I was in shock, put it back and got on the phone to emergency dentist,6.30 pm on a Friday! The ride was hilly again, 621 metres of climbing. East Hall Hill, Church Hill, Hunton.... Egg on toast for be breakfast Egg on toast at cafe stop Sw apple crumble some chic milk French stick, not good in temporary filling, so had tins of spaghetti Weighed in Thursday morning 12'5 , 5 lb under target.

An eventful and harrowing weekend for you Quins and a painful one too by the sounds of things - glad you managed to get sorted at the dentist.

575.5 miles walked jogged and run, 10 more walked to add, 585.5

1766 miles cycled , 25 more today, 1791 miles cycled. I managed to grab a quick ride today on a beautiful day, was going to be a flat ride, back has been really killing me, however Liverton a Hill was blocking my route to Lenham. So I went up it, stopped halfway for a couple of photos.

Texty, Happyholidays and Suzyflo hope you all had great Xmas. I have had a lovely time , punctuated with my temporary filling coming out 3 times, starting in Xmas Eve!

My back nearly did for me yesterday , took my crew to Twickenham to watch the Big Game with 70,000 others, Harlequins v Exeter. A brilliant day out, started with Buck's Fizz on the train, a great laugh with mates and their kids, ended with a big take out curry.

I weighed end if last week 12'11 1 pound over target, no drama , not been training hard and been in second course of antibiotics for sinus issue too.

Floods were a bit of of a worry , thought we were going to go under, we were very fortunate, some of our neighbours were not so lucky. My kids went canoeing in the paddock!

585.5 miles walked, jogged and run plus 6 more 591.5 miles for 2013, 91.5 miles more than 2012.

1791 miles cycled for 2013.

Happy new year everyone! Feeling a bit jaded after last nights celebrations although mine were not extravagant, just a late night as we had our youngest having a party at hone. Bit of superficial clearing up and the house is ours again.

Well I managed , 3 turbo sessions and a 25 miler over the festive period, weather put a stop to outdoor cycling. The weather is really doing its best to cause more floods again, it hasn't stooped raining here, more forecast too.

A bit of a EE day today, whatever it ends up it will be less syns, less calories and better than recent indulgences.

B. Eggs beans in 2 wm ww Danish

L. Pork loin chops fat trimmed, grilled with pickles , salad and cottage cheese, beetroot

To come, plus a bike turbo session if I can get motivated....

D. Lean mince chili, packed out with Quorn mince and veg, whole grain basmati etc, ate more than I should have... Had 5 chocolates watching Harry Potter!
