Ramblings of a Bee on Exante

Ha ha. That really made me laugh Bee. I might try doing that with no clothes on today before I take my measurements. I think we're both going to have to spur each other on and be stern with each other this time. Less of the ' oh dear you've had a relapse, don't worry you'll soon be back on course' and more of the ' if you want to lose weight you know what you have to do. Stop messing around, get your ass into gear and stop messing around!' That's what I'll say to myself in the mirror.
I'll let you know how I get on. Also I hope you will post how you get on today - good or bad!

Well done on the pep talk - sounds like it worked a treat ;) I think your plan sounds good Lynne - I think more kick up the bum than being sweet will be in order over the next few months.

You have a goal Bee - just keep that image of seeing your family again in a slimmer, healthier body in mind!

Good luck on your restart, hope today is a good one for you x

Good afternoon Bee, hope todays restart is an easy one. So many of us with renewed positivity, it's good. xx

Today went pretty well. I had a really rough morning because of a bad reaction to some pain killers I took last night, feeling all shaky and nauseous and sweaty this morning, had to stay in and rest a bit. So by the time it had worn off, I was absolutely ravenous. I had my three packs through the day and a couple of eggs. I didn't really want to have food, even when it's low carb food, this early on in the process. But I felt so dizzy and wobbly on my legs, I thought it best to have something extra. Now I'm feeling alright, just extremely tired and will be going to bed very soon.

@ Lynne
I totally agree. We do need to keep each other in check a bit by being firm. I need a no nonsense approach, no messing about. There are some occasions when it's understandable that you turn to food, perhaps a really bad health spell or bad stuff happening in the family. But let's face it, those times are far and few between. Most of the time when we cave it's pure craving.

Knowing our triggers and identifying them is so important. When you are really tired and hungry and feel a bit low and think "oh I could so do with a proper meal", tell yourself that you are tired and hungry and feeling low. Saying things out loud and making them a simple statement of fact takes the emotion out of it a bit. And then tell yourself how you are going to deal with it. I'm going to have a nice cup of tea, get changed into my lovely pj's and have my soup! There, a little mini therapy session :D

Hi Bee. How's it going? I'm here to crack the whip! I did well yesterday and so far so good today. Have a banging headache though!

Hey Bee,

Wise words! How's today going?

@Lynne - love the whip cracking :p

Hey!! Had a straight 100% Sunday, tons of water, 2 packs and about to have the third. In the determination department I am definitely still up there on a high. I'm having trouble, however, telling my stomach. I'm super hungry. So I'm going to have a pint of water I think, then my last pack and will not return to the kitchen for anything. Just curl up and watch a little something and go to bed early.
Yes, onset of headache approaching. Oh and I couldn't resist the scales this morning and I couldn't quite believe my eyes. 14st13.8lb which means 3.2lb down from yesterday! How's that even possible. Must be all the water. I'm really going to try not to weigh until WI day on Saturday.

Awesome Bee - well done on the loss and for having a plan to manage the hunger/temptation. Scale hopping in week 1 is ok for me, but after that it can get a bit dangerous!

Hi Bee that is absolutely brilliant. Even though everyone loses a lot of water in the first week, the weight from the first week does stay off - unless of course you binge in the second week! You're doing great. A 100% day and a good loss so far. Brill!

Well done bee on managing 100%. Keep going.

Bee that is amazing overnight loss

Good morning Bee that's a lovely overnight loss, well done. xx

Wouldn't it be great if every overnight loss would be like that ;) I couldn't resist and weighed in again this morning, another 0.8lb off. I'm really going to stay off the scales after the first week because the losses do slow down a bit and it can drag on then.
Another good start of the day so far, I've had close to two litres of water/peppermint tea now by 11am and will have my first shake very soon. I do get enormously hungry at the moment which is partly down to ketosis still waiting to happen. And I reckon my stomach is quite big after a lot (and I mean A LOT) of bread over the last month. Shrink, stomach, SHRINK!!

Wow, 2 litres by 11am!! What time did you get up. Have a good day bee

Thanks Susie, you too. I'm up very early on work days, about 5am, very long days. Which makes it quite hard sometimes to spread out the 3 packs because they are very long gaps in between.
I'm so cold now! Have had the heating on full blast all day but hands and feet are icy and I'm so tired, I do hope it's ketosis finally hitting.

I don't usually manage to get to sleep till about 2am & up on a work day by 6.45. That's why I cherish my lay ins on the mornings I don't have work. I'd be terrible If I had to get up at 5am lol. You should be approaching ketosis soon so hopefully the horrible stuff that comes with it will start to go away. Wrap up warm in a blnket for a bit & have a hot drink x

Glad those scales are still heading in the right direction for you! X

That's good news...another loss over night.

well done
