Good morning Bee, hope you're feeling much better today xx
 
Well, surprisingly, i feel a lot worse today...had a terrible night, did not sleep a wink and was really hot in the night, borderline feverish sweats (nice!). But because it's so cold out, when I stick a foot or arm out from under the duvet to cool down a bit, it's too cold. I didn't go to sleep until 4.30 this morning but I got up at 5 to get ready for work...so all in all not a good start.
I'm mega clogged up now, my ears are blocked and ringing and sinuses totally stuffed. Will see if I can go home a bit earlier today, have a restful afternoon and go to bed mega early dosed up on everything I have in the house :)

Yes, rest is the one thing I rarely allow myself which is always a problem. I normally manage to fight bugs off and carry on but every once in a while they knock me off my feet and I just vegetate for a few days. I had to go into work, my ridiculously heightened sense of responsibility never allows me to just stay home, I will always go in and try and do as much as I can. But I sort of thrive on it as well, very sad :D There have been very few occasions when I actually decided to stay home altogether. Will see how things go today after I have replied to the usual Monday morning email tidal wave.
 
Hi Bee. Hope you're feeling better soon. You really should stay off when you're ill, By not resting you risk getting even worse. That's what happened to me with my leg. I kept struggling on until it go so bad that I ended up having quite a lot of time off. I do the same with colds and then end up with really bad sinus infections when a couple of days in bed would have probably got rid of the cold in the first place. Try to go home early and have a nice bath and an early night. I find those day nurse, night nurse tablets are very effective.

Having a good clean in the house is a good distraction for the day and makes you feel good too. My house has pretty much been immaculate since I started Exante lol xx

I know, I'm awful like that. I do take day nurse and night nurse and find them great but I take them instead of resting so I can get on with things. Last night I slept almost 5 hours which was about 5 hours more than the night before :rolleyes: But I don't feel any better than yesterday...of course I'm in work, just can't help it. Took day nurse this morning but so far it's not done anything other than make me feel a bit nauseous coz I've not had a pack yet.

The weird thing is that I automatically think I need food when I'm ill coz I'm taking extra meds. Which is true on one hand. Perhaps my stomach can cope better then. But having said that, I end up eating low carb and skipping packs and it's the packs that have all the nutrients and vitamins I probably need to fight the cold better. So I'm trying TS again today. My plan is 5 days of TS now because I'm having friends over for lunch on Sunday and will be eating with them, albeit low carb-ish. And then TS with possibly the odd WS until 1 March.

Thanks giggle, I think at the moment, I'm veering towards getting worse but I have decided to have the day off tomorrow and sleep as much as I can and otherwise just potter around a bit and rest. It's easy to forget that recovery takes your energy and you end up overdoing it and wonder why you're so shattered.

Yes Bee you must get some recuperation time in for yourself. If you haven't felt better today your body is telling you to rest. Its hard when you are a bit of a workaholic but a days rest will see you fit for work sooner rather than later.x
