Red's food diary - advice very gratefully received

Yes I think the omelette fills you up on red days where you might normally have carbs. I like them anyway!

I didn't get on last night, well I did but I couldn't post I think there was something wrong with my broadband and it kept going off. This is my food yesterday (omelette free ;) ) :

Tuesday 6th April - Red

Breakfast – . Pink lady apple, satsuma

Lunch – . Bowl superfree spicy butternut squash and carrot soup, 2 Babybel Light (HexA) – grapes

Tea – . Spiced yellow fin sole and carrot and swede mash with spinach

Snacks - .Pagen Krisprolls (HexB), Babybel Lights (HexA), banana, Highlights drink (2syns)

Syns –2
HexA – .Babybel Lights.
HexB - .Page Krisprolls, Alpen Lights


 
So today I'm going to go green to treat myself after weigh in and the low syns (which I'll have to do next week to counteract this weekend's vodka).

So I lost 3lb. Today I'm going to attempt the carrot, coriander ad butterbean burger and SW chjips from this months magazine and use Hex's for the burger bun and some cheese, however looking at the recipe I have forgotten to buy jalapenos, so I'll get OH to get some on the way home and just put them on top and use some other spice in the burgers (as they need to chill so I'll want them ready before OH gets home).

I'm going to work out which curry to do at the weekend too. I need to check the syns on something before I post today's plan.

Wednesday 7th April - Green

Breakfast – . Quorn sausage, egg and beans, mushroom, tomato and onion

Lunch – . Innocent veg pot (Thai veg) (4 syns) superfree butternut squash soup.

Tea – .Carrot, coriander and butterbean burger with SW chips and salad. Reduced fat cheddar (HexA) wholemeal roll (HexB)

Snacks - .
Syns –4
HexA – .Reduced fat cheddar
HexB - .wholemeal roll, Alpen Lights
 
One of the girls coming at the weekend doesn't really like curry so I'm doing spicy burgers with bacon and SW wedges and a big salad instead so everyone is happy :D Easy peasy to get ready too.

However I have been reading the butter chicken recipe in the mag and I HAVE to make it next week. I'll do it for the family though.
 
Updated food for today - the carrot and butterbean burgers were gorgeous!

Wowzers, yet another amazing loss!! You are doing so brilliantly it's amazing!! Congrats! You must feel great!

I still haven't got the mag as my C ran out of them this week in the previous session and I didn't attend class last week! I'm gagging to get my hands on a copy but resent paying the 65p extra in the shops so will have to wait until Monday!! Glad you enjoyed the burgers- they sound right up my street!! Your food is very inspiring and what I like is that like me, you eat well and living proof that eating plenty can get great results!!XXX

Now tomorrow I will be drinking vodka soooooooooo... I don't know how many syns that will be, however, it wil be straight back on plan the following day and I'll have low syns for most of the week to compensate.

Hello everyone. I consumed numerous vodkas last night (I didn't count!). My friend made a chocolate chip cookie pie and cut 4 slices - I had half a slice. Now I'm not feeling too bad about this becasue athough I had the pie and it was probably hugely high in syns I only had half the slice and put the rest away for OH . I don't feel bad about the vodka either since I don't do it that often and I did cook a SW friendly tea and breakfast. I don't know if I'll reducer syns today or not but I don't have loads anyway and tomorrow might be a better day to do it!!

This is yesterday's food:

Saturday 9th April - Easy Extra

Brunch – . 3 Light choice sausages (1.5syns), 2 turkey rashers, 1 egg,lots of mushroom, tomato and onion fried in frylight with left over SW chips.

Tea – . SW bacon cheeseburger and SW wedges (HexB – wholemeal bun, HexA – reduced fat cheese) lots of salad – Choc chip cookie pie made by my friend – had only half a slice (synalicious)

Snacks - .Fruit.

Syns – 1.5 + numerous vodka syns plus pie syns
HexA – .Reduced fat cheese
HexB - .wholemeal roll.
 
This is today's food so far - tonight will most likely be an omelette with tinned salmon and salad becasue OH will be coming back from his parents with the kids after tea time so it's just me here:

Sunday 10th April - Red

Breakfast – . 3 slices lean bacon medallions, egg, lots of mushroom, tomato and onion. Half a Pink Lady apple.

Lunch – . Chicken and ham salad, wholemeal pitta (HexB) 2 Babybel lights (HexA) Tiger Tiger dressing (1syn) – fresh pineapple.

Tea – . omelette with tinned salmon mixed with ff fromage frais and chlli, salad. – strawberries and vanilla muller light yoghurt.

Snacks - .1 pagen krisproll (2syns) Babybel Light |(HexA), Dark choc Highlights (1.5syns)

Syns – 4.5

I was ill yesterday so didn't eat much until the evening:

Tea – . Basil and tarragon omelette filled with bolognaise (lots of veg) and served with spinach leaves

Last student just left today - made the gammon and egg loaf from this months mag - added spring onions to it and some spicy Italian seasoning. I'd already cooked a gammon in the slow cooker (removed all the fat before I cooked it). It was really nice - a variation on the omelette lol!

Been working really hard this week - exams are coming up so I've been writing examples of essays and lots of worksheets but have more time tomorrow. Going to try the butter chicken this week sometime:

Wednesday 13th April - Red

Breakfast – . Omelette with 1 LC extra Light, (HexA) smoked salmon, 3 lean bacon rashers, mixed tomato salad – (3 types of tomato, garlic, fresh basil and tarragon)

Lunch – . Very small amount of leftover bolognaise from yesterday and a large bowl of mixed fruit (apple, pineapple, strawberry, grapes) 1 Babybel Light (HexA) Activia fat free yoghurt.

Tea – . Egg and Gammon loaf with salad, Tiger Tiger red Thai dressing (1 syn)

Snacks - .couple slices of gammon. Hex's Choc Highlights drink (2syns)

Syns – 4
HexA – .3 Babybel light, 1 Laughing Cow Light.
HexB - .Ryvita minis, Alpen Lights

Tody's food - red day again becasue I had red type foods to use up but I'm looking forward to an EE or green day tomorrow. If EE will be doing the butter chicken (or turkey as I couldn't get chicken thigh). I'm a bit sick of meat though tbh a veggie day would be nice.

Here is today's food I'm going to add more syns, I'm just not sure what - either a couple of vodkas or a treat:

Thursday 14th April - Red

Breakfast – . Egg, slice gammon, slice egg and gammon loaf, quorn sausages, mushroom, onion, tomatoes

Lunch – . Pink Lady apple, 2 slices gammon and egg loaf, slice of gammon, 1 Babybel Light (HexA)

Tea – . Lean Frying steak with spices, salad, feta, olives (1syn), feta (HexA) wholemeal pitta (HexB) Tiger Tiger dressing (1syn)– strawberries and Mullerlight.

Snacks - .Banana, Highlights dark choc (1.5syn), Drifter (5syns) Pagen krisproll (2syns)

Syns – 10.5

HexA – .Feta. 2 Babybel Lights
HexB - .Wholemeal pitta, fibre plus bar

Just thought I would pop by to check you diary. Well done on this weeks weight loss.

Your daily food diarys are looking good.

I am still following SW very loosely. Some days are better than others, but I have days where I just want to snack and don't fancy cooked meals at all. My latest craving is icecold milk. I can't get enouhg of it and it helps the heartburn too.

Just 2 weeks to go now until my c section. :)
 
Hi hunny!! Your food is looking great!! Well done on yet another loss!! They're all totting up and totalling a huuuuge amount now! You must feel/look so much slimmer and better about yourself! You have just reminded me to buy another bottle of Tiger Tiger dressing!! It was such a hit with my hubby the last bottle lasted no time at all!! Have a great weekend!X
