Sandra's maintenance diary.....

I agree with mfp.....it certainly shows you when you start to stray. I could be doing with MFP being with me 24 hours a day, especially when I go to put the chocolate eclair into my mouth ;)

I need a new phone so I think I'll get an iPhone so that I can have mfp with me at all times.....I play with it sometimes, like with snacks, so that I can work out how much damage is going to be done before I actually eat something and I work out in advance how many calories I want to expend at the gym.

Still bloody 11 stone though, can't seem to get under despite sticking to my allowance for 5-6 days out of every 7! obviously those few hundred calories extra a week are really a problem......going to try a week at 1200 and no kitkats!

iPhone absoloodle - got one last year - still love it as much as on Day 1. God knows how I survived 39.5 years without one! Sad but true... lol

Paul's had one since they first came out and I didn't think I wanted one when he wanted to get me one for my birthday last year so I got an iPad instead.......now I want a phone!

Anyway today's food

B porridge
L 2 slices of hot x loaf
D steak sandwich, made with two slices of bread, 140g minute steak and fried onions - delicious! Lemon and ricotta cheesecake, which we didn't eat last night.
Hot choc and 2 red devils

Calories 1643, 1248 net so 48 over.......

Doesn't seem like I ate a lot today and I was really dizzy tonight before I cooked the steak sarnies.......did quite a hard workout at the gym, perhaps that's why? Still a shed load of calories but mfp hasn't told me off today!

Love the iPhone too. Quite fancy an iPad as well but reckon it's just a bigger version of my phone. Its the amount of useful apps that I love. Long live Apple!!!!

Have to disagree on the blackberry. I have one of those too for work. Great if your use is email and phone primarily but not a great media or Internet device, IMHO. They are reliable and take the odd bounce off the floor(unlike an iPhone).
The android Market is starting to outsell apple so htc or samsung will be contenders.

Seriously? Oh wow I feel the total opposite. I think the internet/media aspect is brilliant. I'm never off mine. Have to admit I wouldn't even consider an iPhone now I've got my BB. I'm noticing more and more people using them now and boy do they stand some abuse too lol

Already had a Blackberry.....doesn't do everything that I want it too......

Yes I am a blackberry girl. After working in mobile phones I have seen to many horror Iphones to ever get one!!!

I have an iphone the web is fab on it but i don't ever use mine to its full potential i litterally use it for facebook, minis, texting and calling. Got a little music on there but only use that when i run. The battery life is shocking and i dont think id reccomend anyone get one :p

I have the HTC desire, HD............I love it. Bigger and better screen than the I Phone.

Yep. The htc desire is getting fab reviews. I have an iPhone 4 which gets very heavy use and the battery holds up very well. Still at about 30% come bedtime. OH has an iPhone 3 and the battery is much poorer on it.

Today's food

B fruit n fibre, milk, vitamin C drink
L Be-YU bar, a pear, 2 cappuccinos
D Count on us lasagne, large mixed salad, creme caramel dessert
Hot choc and 2 red devils

Total 1250 calories 780 net

Way under today though not deliberately, met a friend for coffee and didn't get back until well after lunch time so was too late to eat a proper lunch......

Dental appointment this morning which clashed with my Pilates class so gave myself the day off! Have also got quite a sore left buttock cos I think that I've been overdoing the hills pegramme on both the treadmill and the x trainer......was desperate to firm up my bum after the op but I guess that I should remember that my poor bum has been slashed to bits:eek:

Today's food....

B fruit n fibre, vitamin C drink
L 70g Brie, two pears
Snacks kitkat, 2 slices hot x loaf, elf spread
D Fuller Longer spaghetti and meatballs
Hot choc, 2 red devils

Total 1486.....286 over today, but according to mfp I should still be losing, so WTF aren't I?!

So frustrating when the scales dont move Sandra - but I cant see that you can do anything different, your menu's most of the time are really good. Plus you are keeping up with the exercise.

Mmm that's what I think! The only thing that I guess I could do is try and cut the carbs completely and see if that makes a difference. I have had one thought, I am doing about 6 hours a week of exercise and I'm deffo a lot thinner than a couple of months ago so perhaps I have simply gained muscle? Wishful thinking perhaps, who knows? I'm not that good at taking my measurements so don't really know if I've lost inches except around my bum cos it used to be huge and now it doesn't exist......not just my thinking but I've been told that by so many people including Paul so it must be true:D

Off to France for a long weekend tomorrow, we're staying in a lovely hotel tomorrow night which has a fabulous restaurant (we need to visit a salvage yard on Friday so it's not worth driving down to our house and driving back again) so I fully intend to have a few days 'off' without worrying too much about what I'm eating OR DRINKING! May stay off the scales on Monday:eek:

Sandra, you are doing so well and don't be so hard on yourself. Your exercise is building muscle and muscle will weigh heavier than lean. Your potential losses are thus negated. As you have said your body shape has improved so just keep looking in the mirror and enjoy the new body!!! Have a fab weekend in France.

Thx Molly and I know that you're right but I sooooooo want to weigh, even just a little bit, under 11 stone! I know that I am really cos of the weight of my hip but I want to see it on the scales....bloody hip!

I'm looking forward to the weekend, Paul's been really busy lately so we haven't been to the house since January. It's going to be lovely to see what's come up in the garden cos I can't even remember what I've planted!

Anyway......of to the gym!

Laterz x

Oooh have a lovely weekend chick :)
