Sandra's maintenance diary.....

I agree those potatotoes look delish - tho not the garlic. Have an allergy/intolerance to garlic and its makes me sooooo ill and I get twisting gut! Bit of a bu**er when buying ready jars or meals or eating out - cos they bung it in everything nowadays.
Anyway ... moving on ... exciting news that you'll hear about the job imminently but also exciting news that you have another interview lined up anyway. Way to go girlie!

The garlic could be extracted!

The job interview this morning went great, I want it even more than the one that I'm waiting to hear for! The guy I saw said there and then that they'd arrange a second interview with their CEO from Geneva, dunno whether or not it'll be here or there.....he'd just come over from Dubai and I've been an ex-pat in Bermuda and we had lots of similar hobbies likes boating (even got the same make of boat) and skiing....I was there for an hour and a half and it didn't feel like an interview. This is bit naughty too but.......I fancied the guy:eek:....he's a couple of years younger than me and I'm sure there was a spark!

I'm getting really excited about the thought of getting my career back on track.....I'm bored with being a Stepford wife and living at the gym!

Check you out eyeing up your potential future boss ;) lol
Glad the interview went well chick, :fingerscrossed: you hear soon.

I know it was wrong! But he was nice and tanned and fit looking cos he'd just been away skiing for 3 weeks.......I must be feeling better or else it's just that Spring is in the air and I'm feeling a bit frisky:D if I got the job though I'd want to stay nice and slim.....not get all fat and ugly again!

Calm down now girl........lol, what are you like.

Must be a benefit though of working for a guy that is eye candy!

Sounds like a great interview ;) ... here's a dilemma for you - which one would you take if you got both?? xx

Work update........looks like the first one is in the bag but my qualifications are being discussed with the local regulator (this is what keeps Jersey' finance centre in line) cos it's a new kind of business to the Island and I don't have an investment qualification.......

On the other one, they were on the phone first thing and I've got a second interview on Tuesday with the guy who's job I would be partially be taking over......gonna be a tricky one as he's being side-lined owing to lack-lustre performance.....Mary potential new boss in married and as I've been with Paul for nearly 20 years it would never occur to me to 'go on a date' with anyone:eek:

As to which one I'd take? That's a good question......the first one is a very small office, only 3 of us so no great shakes socially but no real responsibility either. The second puts me in charge of nearly 30 people as it's Deputy MD......loads of responsibility.... again.....which made me ill a couple of years back, but I would only be travelling about 20% of the time rather than 90%. I guess I'll cross that bridge if I have too!

Paul is thrilled that it looks like I'm going to be a career woman again, mental isn't it? You'd have thought that he'd be pleased to be so well looked after but he's, like, oh well we'll eat out 3 times a week again........plus I can have my ironing lady back! I kept the cleaner on but not the ironing lady so that'll be good!

Happy Friday everyone, the sun is shining here and there are loads of bees on one of the cherry trees which is already covered in pink blossom. All's well with my world, hope that it's the same in yours x

Good news on both job fronts then Sandra :) Looks like you'll be back at work pretty soon!! xx

Yup.......

A good day today, 1 1/2 hours in the gym, busy, busy, busy!

.....today's food....

B fruit n fibre and milk (sick of Slimfast, doesn't satisy me enough to do a work-out) a banana, Vitamin C drink
L 2 slices wm bread, hard-boiled egg, elf Mayo, cucumber. Pink Lady apple. Used to butter the bread when making my egg sarnie but have stopped that, save a couple of calories where I can.
Snack Wagon Wheel
D salmon fillet, new potatoes, hollandaise sauce, carrots and peas. Liegoise dessert (get them from France, a bit like a creme caramel)
Hot choc and 3 Quality Street.....not as good as red devils

Total 1750 net 1374 so 174 over today.......

Bloody hollandaise had a few too many calories, all the butter I suppose! Shouldn't have had either the Wagon Wheel or the Quality Street......without that little lot I'd have been well under.

Sandra, great to hear all us great in the world for you. Fab news on the jobs front and it is great to have options. I'm sure you will make the right choice for you.
Have a good weekend and enjoy your nice weather.

Congratulations on the job(s? ;)) Good for you :D x

That's excellent news about the jobs Sandra. Really great to hear things going so well for you.
You've got a cleaner and you want your ironing lady back well if you need a gardener then give me a shout.
I know nothing about plants, i have a fear of worms and my Mum reckons i pull up plants rather than weeds but apart from that i do ok lol x

Um, got a gardener too, but in France where we have over an acre! We've only got a postage stamp back and front here......few pots and it's done!

Actually I love gardening, it's housework that I can't stand:(

Today's food....

B fruit n fibre, a banana
L went out with Paul to the garden centre and had a BLT baguette and 2 of Paul's chips
This afternoon.....3 Quality Street
D scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, 2 slices toast...Paul had a huge burger for lunch and we were supposed to be going out tonight with friends for dinner but she's ill so we've cancelled. So not much in for supper......

Today's food

B Porridge, 1/2 milk and water, dash of evaporated milk
L 2 slices of toast and pate, a banana
D tomato and basil soup, 2 petit pain rolls. Vanilla liegeoise desert
Hot choc

1398 calories 989 net after exercise

Just realised that I haven't had a single drink this weekend......wonder if the scales will finally move?

Food looking great today.
I planned on no alcohol this weekend but just couldn't do it  :p I blame Stevie for buying 3bottles of rosé!!

Any left?

I didn't plan it like that, we were supposed to be going out last night but a friend was ill so we didn't go, then we didn't open a bottle of wine cos it didn't seem to go with scrambled eggs and tonight we've only had soup! Will be interested to know if it does make a difference, I'm pissed off cos it's a whole month since I last lost a lb:(
