SaraC's Pescetarian Diary (SW & WW)

Hi Sara
Do you do much exercise? Just wondering if maybe varying your routine would see some results on the scales for you?
Also, I am a breadaholic (!) and now take 42g of Weetabix Crunchy Bran for my breakfast. It's really filling and you get a good portion for 1 HEB, so maybe that's worth considering??

Am finding your diary really helpful by the way!

Hi LittleDolly!

I don't get time to do much exercise other than run round after my 17 month old and walking with the pram on my days off as I work 8am-5.30pm Monday-Thursday and don't get home until 6.30pm each work day so don't get chance to do anything once we put the baby to bed. I have recently dug my Wii Fit out and do half an hour when I can but I need to try and do it more regularly as I do feel the benefits!

Thanks for dropping by, feel free to come by again! :) xx

Hiya Allie,

Yeah I need to shake up my lunches too but the thing is, I am working within the plan and it should work, I record every single thing that passes my lips and I don't have many (if any) days "off plan", it's just sooo frustrating!! I don't think that there is such thing as too many carbs as otherwise Green Days wouldn't work for anyone. I have tried a few days EE but I don't like them as I very rarely eat fish and miss out on my extra HE's (my HEB's I use on Alpen Lights to keep me going through my long days in work!).

Ahh well I shall keep trying, if not I'll just go mad and have a whole Domino's pizza (and watch it fly off that week lol!!)

Thanks for taking the time to look at my diary, mucho appreciated!! :D

Hello :) You've nipped in and visited my diary a few times so I thought I would come and find yours as I have some news! Finally, Quorn has come to Australia - yayyy! Having said that I haven't seen it in my local supermarkets but hopefully soon!

I see that you've been having a frustrating time of it with some stubborn pounds, I'm the same way at the moment, playing around with the same few pounds for weeks. Hope you have a success this week! We'll get there in the end!

Instead of EE then, stick with green but have 1/3 superfree with each meal? So still snack on fruit that you like, but aim for 1/3 of your plate to be vegetables, that way you get more superfree in but still get both Healtht Exs xxx

Hi Allie, yeah I will try & make sure that I have lots of SF foods with each meal, I do eat a lot of Superfree foods as a rule anyway but will try & make sure that 1/3 of my plate is SF aswell :)

Hi Ozzie, Thanks for dropping by :D

Good news about Quorn coming to Australia, I really don't know how I would cope without it, at least by the time we get over there it should be in all of the supermarkets :D

It is frustrating messing around with the same few pounds eh? I have been messing round with this one pound for about 6 weeks, it's driving me nuts!!

Hope you are well & the sun is shining for you

Hiya

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello as I've been reading your diary. I share your current frustration - I did EE last week, and was 100% on plan and stayed the flipping same at WI this week! Not sure what's going on... it's only my 5th week of dieting too, so surely I can't have hit a plateau yet?!

Anyway, this week I'm adding in a couple of Red Days & Green Days to see if that makes a difference, so using your diary as inspiration. Keep your chin up and I'll hope for a good loss for you a WI this week x

Hi Pinksparklybird,

Thanks for dropping by!! :D

I am currently trying to mix up my breakfasts and lunches to see if it makes much difference as I always have different things for tea anyway. I hope to see a good loss on the scales this week as I have been ever so good and am starting to feel a bit disheartened.

Hope my diary is helping you with ideas for Green Days and hope you get a good loss this week too :)

Boy have I had those weeks too.....6 weeks of ups and downs and not really getting anywhere. I stick to mainly Red/Green now as I bloat too much when i'm on EE:eek:
Stick with it, your body is probably going through "what are you doing to me"...perseverance will pay off though
xx

Hi LL,

Thanks for popping in!! :D

Yes I am hoping that my body is just going through shock, it's really not as if I am skinny and can't do with loosing anymore weight as I am a Size 14 and would really like to be a 12!! Hopefully maybe the scales will catch up with me this week and I will see a bigger loss, even the lb not going back on would do me!!

Right I had a bit of a think last night and whilst I am going to still not have bread until WI I am not going to mess around with having less carbs etc as that is what Green Days are all about and they must work as SW has put it out there as a plan which can work for everyone.

There was a post a while back saying that Calorie Counting and SW don't go together and I think the same applies to Carb Counting. I am going to be aware of how many carbs I am having but not cut them down, the reason being that I like SW as I don't go hungry as I fill up on free foods (whether they be carbs or not) and if I started cutting down on carbs and getting hungry I am more likely to go off track.

If I don't see a decent loss on the scales this week (and by decent I mean 1lb or more as that is my average loss per week) then I may think of not quitting SW and following a low carb or low GI diet to try and shift this last stone, it's sooo frustrating!!

Had a bit of a sicky day today which is unlike me, about 2pm I suddenly felt really dizzy and lightheaded and very sick, in the end I had to leave work early and get the bus home and go to bed for an hour. I feel a lot better now (OH made me eat my tea, I think he thinks I'm not eating enough?!) but still feel dodgy :( Hubby thinks I may be anaemic (I was after I had my little girl) so I may look at taking Iron Tablets.

Monday

Breakfast: Asda Frozen Summer Berries (defrosted and not as nice as the Tesco Value ones!) strawberries, raspberries, redcurrants, blueberries, blackberries with 1/2 Onken FF Strawberry Yoghurt and 28g Special K Sustain (HEB)

Tea: Quorn Chilli (Passata, Chopped Tomatoes, Onions, Garlic, Old El Paso Refried Beans, Quorn Mince) with Boiled Rice

Snacks: 2 Alpen Light Bars (HEB), 2 Satsumas

Drinks: 2l Water with NAS Squash, Tea, Diet Coke

HEA: 2 Babybel

Hey lovely :)

Just reading your diary from the last few days.

I know it's disheartening but stick to it - you've done soo well so far!! But I guess if it's defo not working then maybe a change in diet would be a good plan (but don't leave here - we'd all miss you!!). I know how you feel, I'm struggling a lot too. I'm trying to stick to Red/EE this week cos I think the carbs bloat me up and make me heavier than I am. I know you've said you don't want to totally reduce your carbs..maybe try an EE day like Allie mentioned? Though I see that you do have lots of super free already :)

I hope you're feeling a bit better than you have been. xx
