Sarah's Target & 10K Mission

Have been totally starving all day today! Lunch was totally yummy though - HEXA cheese on the top made it feel really indulgent.

A case of Galaxy bars has just been passed round the office. I'm having a rubbish day of budget meetings so I've just savoured a single square (1.5 syns). I've never made a square of chocolate last so long. Lol! Absolutely loved every second of it.

I love making those squares last for ages, yummy! It makes me laugh though when I hold one in my fingers and think I can have a whole mini milk for this one teeny tiny bit of chocolate. Totally worth it!

I had a sneaky look on the scales this morning and they were showing a 2.5lb loss, fingers crossed for Monday!!

Hardly been online at all over the weekend so mammoth update required! Won't go through all weekend food, just syns and HEX's or I'll be here all day!

Saturday: HEXA - ricotta in lunch, HEXB - Branflakes (snacked on, not had with milk), Syns - oil/breadcrumbs in lunch 3 syns, cupcake 8 syns, Prosecco 4 syns, white wine 5 syns. Total 20
Sunday (red day): HEXA - milk, HEXBs - wholemeal roll, Branflakes, Syns - choc chip cookie 6 syns

Good news is though that I've lost 3lbs this week, taking me to my 1st target and just 1lb away from my Club10! Whoop whoop! Maybe the lemon in drinks has helped? Really not sure! Either way, I'm ecstatic! I'm weighing in on a Monday for the next 3 weeks as I've got work stuff getting in the way so I won't be able to do Tuesday WIs at home.

So today's food:

B - Muller Greek style (1/2) with strawberries
L - Rice salad with onions, mushrooms, peppers, peas, sweetcorn, cooked chicken
D - TBC but probably pork steaks with sweet potato wedges and a big pile of brocolli
Snacks - Alpen Light (1/2 HEXB), Bran flakes (1/2 HEXB)

I've heard a lot of good things about lemon in drinks.....I hate lemon but might have to look at doing it as I get closer to target.....

I wasn't sure I'd like it, but I actually find it really refreshing in cold water. It's quite nice in hot water in the mornings too. And this week is my biggest loss since week 2, and it's the only thing I've changed so I'm thinking it's having an effect :)

Must be! Might add a spoon of sweetener to a hot lemon, see how that tastes....

Must have been something in the air last week with all these big losses going around! xx

Dinner in the end was beef stir fry with noodles, sugar snaps, peppers, chillis, mushrooms and spring onions. 2 syns of oyster sauce.

Little pudding too - 50ml scoop of ice cream (2.5 syns), chopped up banana and 1/2 Freddo chopped up sprinkled on top. Amazing for 5 syns!!

Hi looks like you are doing great and your posts are an interesting read, I have just started today with huge amount to lose and some big things coming up to kick my butt into getting on with it all. Just have to keep my motivation up :)

Hey Katherine,

Thank you! And welcome! This forum has been amazing for me so far - I'm sure it will be the same for you.

Good luck on your journey :)

Sarah xx

Only got as far as breakfast food today as I might be out for lunch with the boss and OH is out at a work's do tonight so not sure what I'll be having for dinner yet!

B - Muller Light with fresh pineapple

Snacks - Alpen Light, 15g Bran Flakes, banana

Out at lunchtime to a local pub with the boss. Definitely well earned break as it's been a manic day of meetings. Not many SW friendly choices on the menu! Went for salmon noodles in the end, which had my super free in (spring onions, pak choi, mange tout) and think the salmon was steamed, so free. But noodles were dressed in sweet chilli sauce. Going to allow 4 syns for that. Was very tempted to have wine but had a pint of water with several slices of lemon instead!

Yummy dinner - especially considering the cupboards looked bare! Made up a tomato mugshot and mixed it with mushrooms, red onion and courgette, sautéed in fry light and a splash of balsamic. Topped with HEXA Babybels. Delish!
