Sarah's Target & 10K Mission

Manic day yesterday so no lunch but made linguini last night from a whole crab we picked up at a farmers market plus tomatoes! Chilli, rocket and crime France (3 syns). Plus HEXA Parmesan on the top. Yum!

Boyfriend is doing London to Brighton bike ride today so have already been up for an hour. Am shattered! Breakfast will be muller light with strawberries and I'll be taking an Allen light to keep me going whilst waiting for him at the finish line. Not sure a out dinner- should be a nice day so might do pub lunch - our local does a lovely Cajun chicken salad which is only 2 syns so might go there and sit outside in the sunshine.

Need to bake some blueberry muffins for my dad too but have run out of milk so need to go and get some. Keep getting sidetracked by adding more Fifty Shades though!

Omg! Just got on the scales and it's 11st 5! Let's hope I can maintain that til tomorrow and it's not the scales being random (I check in 3 places on the bathroom floor cos I couldn't believe it!,) that would be 4lbs off this week and give me my 1 stone award which would be AMAZING!!!!!

Tee hee did your phone change what I assume to be creme fresh to crime France?! Lol

Dinner sounds lush, never eaten crab before, OH refuses to eat anything with a shell!!

Fingers crossed for your 4lb loss, I don't think I've lost anything as had a few naughty treats over the last few weeks which seem to be catching up with me.....

Good luck to your man today, is it for charity?

Lol. Yes that was iPad predictive text!!

Race is for British Heart Foundation as his dad had a heart attack a few years ago. I'm waiting at the finish line as we speak!

Worried about the fur baby at home though - she had an awful upset tummy this morning. First time in the 4 years I've had her :(

Xx

Oh no, hope she feels better soon. Mine both got sickness and diarrhea when they were about 5 months old, was literally hell for about a week :( trouble is they eat god knows what when they go out

Thanks honey. Ours is a house kitty so no idea why she's poorly. She seems settled now so fingers crossed it has passed.

Dave did amazingly well on his ride so we're now celebrating in the pub. I'mhaving syn free chicken salad so I can use all my syns for Sauvignon Blanc! Xx

Thanks honey. Ours is a house kitty so no idea where it's come from, but the worst seems to be over. Hopefully!

Dave did really well in his race so we're celebrating at the pub in the sunshine. I'm having a syn free chicken salad so I can use all my syns for wine!

Hope you're having a lovely Sunday.

xx

So yesterday afternoon was a little bit synfuel as I had 2 small glasses of white wine (10 syns) then a small homemade blueberry muffin (I made a batch for my dad) - 4 syns. Still under for the day but more than the 8 I've been aiming for!

Just worked out today is going to be my first green day! Will be interesting to see if it makes a difference. Will probably still end up having my 1/3 super free out of habit, but that can only be a good thing, right?

Need to go shipping after work to get stuff for dinner tonight but today's food is shaping up to be:
B - Muller Light with strawberries
L - leftover dhal with spinach and tiny bit of leftover chicken curry (1/2 HEXB for chicken)
D - samosa stuffed sweet potatoes topped with HEXA cheese, served with salad
Snacks - banana, 2 Alpen Lights (1 x HEXB), bran flakes (1/2 HEXB)

Oh dear, mine were not going out when they got ill as well as they were so young. It wasn't great but the vets weren't that bothered really.
I remember feeling very smug when I managed to get them to eat and keep down some cod after about 5 days.....

Vet told me a good way to keep an eye on their fluid levels is to pull their scruf up. If the skin falls back down straight away and is springy then they're ok but if it stays up and goes back down slowly then she might be dehydrated.

Yeah I rang the emergency vet last night (didn't take her in as they wanted £87 just for a consultation!), and they said starve her for 24 hours (she hadn't eaten since yesterday morning anyway) and if she hadn't passed anything else by this morning, try her on some rice. The look of disgust she gave me when I put it in her bowl was priceless! She's a real princess and only eats Gourmet Perle normally. Fussy madam! She's had a fair bit of water this morning, which I'm really relieved about because she's really small framed (she weighs 3kg) and the vet was worried she'd get dehydrated very quickly. OH slept downstairs on the sofa with her last night so he's hardly had any sleep, bless him. After her accidents all over the house yesterday though, we wanted to keep her contained in the lounge where we've got hard floors which are much easier to clean!! She was purring and shouting at us this morning so I think she's feeling much better. Hopefully whatever it was is getting out of her system. I'll pop home from work at lunchtime and check on her - hopefully she'll have tried a bit of rice, once she's realised that's all she's going to get in her bowl! If she keeps that down, I might try her on a little bit of more 'normal' (to her) food tonight and see how she gets on.

Apparently you can tell dehydration by their gums too - if they look dry or sticky, that's not good! They look ok at the moment though, so hopefully she'll be fine. xx

As an aside, the scales couldn't decide whether I'm on for a 2lb or 4lb loss this week! Tried 4 different places on the bathroom floor - does that make me a total nutter?? Either way I'm pretty happy, but I'd love it to be 4lbs tomorrow as that would be my 1st award and put me 2lbs off my Club 10!

Hope she is feeling better soon, I worry terribly about my fur babies and they are 6kg brusiers!!

My scales showed a 1/2lb loss this morning making 3/4lb over 2 weeks which is rubbish but I have had a few naughty treats and it is * week so hoping next week will be better...... xx

Just been home to check on her and she certainly seems much better. No more accidents (thank heavens!) and she was going mad for some food. I tried giving her some crunchies first (Royal Canin dry food) but she didn't want those and wouldn't rest until I caved in and gave her half a pouch of Gourmet Perle. Hope I've done the right thing but she seemed absolutely starving... Will see how she is this evening.

3/4lb is still in the right direction, my lovely. I had 2 weeks where I basically STS but since then I've had some really good losses - I think it sort of all balances out in the end. Hang in there - you're doing really well! :) xx

Makes me a nutter too, i have to move mine all around the kitchen to be sure i've lost...one place gives different readings to everywhere else.

I have one place where I always put them (lined up with a certain tile on the floor) but then I sometimes check against the opposite wall, and by the door and then downstairs on the kitchen tiles. Who'd have thought a digital screen of numbers would have such an effect on us! Now the question is...when I WI tomorrow...if the readings are like today...which do I go for?? xx

Get an average and go for that, weigh 4 times and get the average of that.

Was very light on syns yesterday - had half an Animal Bar (2 1/2 syns) and a couple of sips of wine (decided I didn't fancy it - very unlike me!!) - 1 syn. Need to try and get up to my 8 today.

B - Cherry chocolate Muller Light (1/2 syn?) with strawberries. Hot water with lemon (adding lemon to lots of drinks this week! Actually really enjoying it)
L - leftover sweet potato samosa mixture topped with cheese (HEXA)
D - pork stir fry (peppers, onions, chillis, mange tout) with egg noodles and oyster sauce (3 syns)
Snacks - banana, 2 x Alpen Lights, Freddo bar (5 syns)

2lb loss this week which I'm really pleased with. Tested the scales in a few places on the floor and although the did think at one point 1 was 11st4lbs, they seem settled on 11st7lbs, which is still a good result. If I can continue like this, I should get my 1stone next week, which would be a great result. After that I've got a couple of testing weeks with a work trip to South Africa (two full days there and night flights both ways, hopefully upgraded on the flights which means free booze) and then a conference in London (again, 2 full days with welcome drinks and awards dinners and all sorts). I've told most of my colleagues about SW and asked them to help keep me on the straight and narrow, which they've promised to do. In SA the food will be quite easy as their steaks are amazing so I can have steak and salad and a cheeky glass of red. More worried about the food on the flights which I won't be able to control at all. Plus the conference, which my company is part sponsoring so I'll be expected to be drinking and entertaining clients and stuff. I'll have to drink sparkling water with lemon in and pretend it's gin and tonic!!

How would everyone deal with those two weeks? Well, two sets of three days, really. So if I save my syns from the other 4 days, hopefully that will give me enough to play with? Where I get a choice (e.g. first night dinner at the conference, I know I'll make SW friendly choices, but at the awards dinner I won't get the option. Hopefully it'll be smoked salmon starter and a simple meat-based main with veggies and I can just leave any creamy potatoes etc and dessert. Flights to SA will be trickier as flying makes me really hungry and I'll just have to eat what I'm given. But I'll make sure I go to M&S in the airport for some SW friendly fruit and veg based snacks so I don't get tempted by peanuts or pretzels or other inflight naughtiness!

I'm feeling absolutely amazing at the moment. I can really see and feel a difference in my clothes - much smoother lines as well as being able to wear things which have never fitted! My waist is definitely shrinking (still too much jiggle factor going on, but it's getting less), and I can just about see my collar bone (in the right light, lol!), which definitely makes me look slimmer. That's definite motivation to keep on track through the first two weeks of July.

After next week it'll hopefully be 1 stone down, 1 stone to go before holiday, which feels totally achievable. If I work super hard, I might even be able to get to the 10st mark by then, although I don't want to put undue pressure on myself, it's just nice knowing it might be an option because I'm on a diet I actually enjoy! This SW malarkey has actually changed my life!

(sorry for the long post - got a bit of a rant on, then!)
