Sarah's Target & 10K Mission

Morning lovely ladies!

Happy hump daaaaaaaaaaaaay!! I think I'm feeling slightly hysterical this morning - despite two good nights sleep, I still feel shattered and it's making me a little bit crazy. Tonnes of work to do today plus I'm in meetings all morning. But on the positive side, my scales were back down to 10.7 so they don't hate me like they did!

Think I might do a red day today but will see how I feel later - if I need a jacket spud, I'll have one! Keeping the next few days low syn though to allow for the weekend.

B - Muller Light, strawberries
L - ham salad with hexa cheese and 1 syn sweet chilli sauce
D - Beefeater with the 'rents - paprika chicken with rice or jacket spud and salad (no dressing)
Snacks - hexb salted caramel hifi - can't wait to try this!!!!!

Fasting again tomorrow then probably EE on Friday - gonna make a chicken curry I think and maybe some Minks style bhajis.

Need to work out how to manage the challenges of the weekend now - corporate hospitality at the rubgy on Saturday. Thinking about being a bit naughty and saying I'm on some tablets I can't drink with! People don't tend to argue with that! lol. Would mean I could stay on the water and take some Alpen Lights to nibble on. It's all over by 6pm so Dave and I could grab an on-plan dinner somewhere on the way home or I could prep something in advance for us to have when we get in. It's then 5* afternoon tea for my parents' wedding anniversary on Sunday so there's no way around the synnage there. I will stick to the sandwiches with wholemeal bread (which are usually smoked salmon and will just have one scone with minimal cream and jam! I'm usually too full to eat the little fancies on the top tier so they end up boxed up to come home with us. I guess I could then have one a day on Monday and Tuesday maybe? Although I shall be fasting one of those days!

Crikey, what a ramble! Sorry girls! Gonna go and drown in emails and meetings for a bit now!

Morning sweetie! Wow sounds so hectic right now for you! I hope you intend to get some chilling in this eve! Enjoy the salted caramelness! Yum! It's only a wee white lie about the tablets thing so you're not too naughty! I would not even think twice about it if it meant saving syns for scones!! :) I need to get in on this afternoon tea action everyone is having! Hope you survive this day and it doesn't send you too cray cray!!x

It's not a terrible lie and you save a possible hangover ;) afternoon tea sounds amazing, mmmmm scones with cream and jam :p xx

Gosh what a crazy day! Literally in meetings all day so far! So glad I'm WFH again tomorrow because I have some big proposals to write so I need to get my little pea-head down and focus!

Have been really craving sugar today and no time to go out and get anything so have had 3 vice versa's (2.5 syns) and an Alpen Light (3 syns). Will try and be syn-free for the rest of the day now.

Afternoon honey

Great news about the scales :)

Your day sounds manic today but home time is on the horizon!

xxxx

Goodness me what a manic sounding day! Did you get through it ok? So nice knowing you'll be at home tomorrow hopefully without distraction! Hehe I'm pretty sure you don't have a pea head! :)
I reckon needs must on the antibiotic fibs! You don't want to have to use up syns if you won't really enjoy them...I think they'd be much better spent on your afternoon tea....plus two other benefits are that you won't have the fear of getting drunk and being silly in front of clients (not that I'm sure you would, but y'know!) and also you won't feel rough on Sunday and will feel fresh headed and enjoy every bite of afternoon tea! :) double whammy right there!

Also...vice versa!! Hello lovely retro sweeties!!! :) xxxx

If it makes you feel better I have used the same lie this week to avoid drinking on Friday at a works event x

Thanks girls! Survived the afternoon - it was actually a good day, just mega busy.

Had a yummy dinner with 1/2tsp ketchup and now having a cuppa and 2 squares of healthy choc to finish the day.

Planning a cheeky fast day tomorrow. Again, not sure about mealtimes so will just list foods:
Muller Greek (90)
Strawbs (~75)
Tesco cereal bar (68)
Pea and ham soup (~175)
Mojito Solero (59)

Ooh yeah that's a good fast day!

Mojito solero....say what?!!! :) xxx

Morning gorgeous ones! I'm feeling super duper proud of myself this morning because I went for a run! And not even a walk/run, I did 3k and ran the whole way apart from 30 seconds in the middle where my music stopped and I had to unlock my iphone and sort my playlist out! It was drizzling all the way but that was actually kinda nice. I had a bit of a Bridget Jones jelly legs moment when I stopped but have just downed 2 pints of water and done some stretches and I think I'm still alive. It's absolutely bucketing it down with rain now so I'm so glad I got back before that happened!

Being the girl who never exercises, I know nothing about how exercise works with fast days and I'm having one today. As long as I drink plenty of water, my body shouldn't need anything extra should it?

Weirdly I'm looking forward to my fast day today - lots of yummy foods to be had and I have the added satisfaction of knowing I've burnt 200 calories already!

Currently logging onto my work system in the conservatory listening to the rain and wondering how long I can hold out before I eat anything! I think a LOT of water is going to be consumed today!

Happy Thursdays lovelies!

xxxxx

Aww thanks Tash. It was only drizzling, thankfully. Enough to make my hair go curly but not enough to be totally soaked! The heavens opened about five minutes after I got back.

I honestly thought I would run for about 30 seconds and then have to stop - because that's what's always happened before. But I actually felt great. I think I read someone say on here that if it gets really hard then not to stop running but just to slow the pace right down and that's what I did - so my pace was a 7 minute kilometre, which I know is super slow, but I still jogged the whole time and that's a mahoooooosive thing for me. It makes me feel like 5k is achievable and that seems like a good distance to be able to run...like if I wanted to do a Race for Life or something again, I could. Hmm...maybe i'm getting ahead of myself and I won't ever go out again!

The plan, though, is to give myself a rest tomorrow but will try again on either Saturday or Sunday depending on how early we go to Twickers on Saturday. xxx

You're supposed to eat back half the calories from running. So I'd eat some breakfast asap. It jut helps your body recover. I don't think a fast day would hurt at all it would only be an issue if you'd done a hardcore work out I think - although for me running is tougher than anything I do in the gym hehe.

You can so do a 5k if you want. I'm starting the training up for a 5k (c25k app) tonight as want to be able to run better.

xxxx

Thanks Jessy - I shall enjoy my Muller Greek now. I'm no good at all this exercise malarkey - I love the fact I have you guys to guide me! xxx

Wow wow wow wow wow!!! That's AMAZING!!! That's the equivalent of a 35min 5k which might not be fast but it definitely isn't slow at all! Well done!!!

I can't believe you were able to do that without having done any exercise for a while, go you!!

The fast day mixed with exercise should be fine, I do all my exercise (runs/pilates/boxing/spin classes) intermittently on fast days and it's fine. As you said, plenty of water and just eating if you really need it and you're grand. I usually find my performance is a lot better on fast days too! I would never run more than 5k though on a fast day just to be safe.

Those soleros sound like an absolute FIND too - defo adding those to the shopping list! Are they the size of your thumb though?! Sounds too good to be true xx

Aww thanks Lil! I don't know what was different today but something definitely was and I feel great for it. Popping into town with my Mum tonight and might look for some new trainers because mine are probably 5 years old and although they haven't been worn millions, they did do quite a lot in the gym until a couple of years back so reckon it's sensible to grab some new ones. Hopefully I can find some kids ones in a size 5!

So many of you amazing ladies are doing so much exercise, it's massively inspiring. It's just taken me a while to get off my bum and join in. Hopefully this is a good start though.

I haven't opened the Solero box yet but it's a normal size box so I'm hopeful they are a decent portion. Lol. Love the word portion!
