Sharon's Before 50 Plan

Well didn't cycle today as was unwell yesterday with overwhelming fatigue which wasn't that great today so we parked the cycling til next weekend and had lunch SW friendly at a lovely pub on the beach, stuck with diet cokes and a walk across the beach :) I've recently started Levothyroxine as my thyroid is slightly under active - on the 2 nd dose increase and blood checks due and review with GP this week so maybe it still needs an increase. Will be glad to get it sorted as sometimes it can make me feel a bit low which is really annoying grr lol. Must admit as I work too in the week it was probably sensible not to over do it today. Feel quite happy with the diet on track.

Good idea not overdoing it if you're feeling under the weather - I hope you get your med levels sorted out so you feel loads better. :) xx

Managing to stick with the plans ok - had homemade burgers and frylight wedges last night, this evening chicken New Yorker which was yum yum - definitely can't say I feel hard done by food wise. Making Caribbean pepper pot stew tomorrow night which looks an interesting recipe- beef, green beans, sweet potato, jerk seasoning, passata etc all slow cooked for 2.5 hours - do enjoy trying different recipes :). Really hoping the weight loss shows on Thurs. Have GP appt on Th evening to see if Levothyroxine dose needs tweaking, had bloods taken today - in a way I hope they show something up with how under the weather I've been feeling. Day at a time and keeping focused with planning.

Made Caribbean pepper pot stew tonight from the Jan 2013 Slimming World magazine. A definite winner with the whole family. Got fed up with my jeans being loose on Saturday and had popped to New Look and bought a size 20 but they were still a little loose still, though fit better than the ones I had been wearing so as I wanted a second pair I tried on the 18s today and woop they fit they fit :) ok they are stretchy denim but hey 18 lol. Made my day anyhow. Fingers crossed for a good weight loss at weigh in tomorrow night.

Aqua, good news about the jeans! Good luck with the WI tomorrow. Been on a training course all day today so thought hard and planned my food and stayed in my syns. Made tacos tonight for the first time and syned the shells and mix, they were delish, had them with corn on the cob to fill the plate up!

Oo Tacos sound nice - amazing all the nice things that are easy to include on plans hey :) how many syns are the taco shells?

Weigh day today - lost 1.5 lbs so 16.5 lbs in total now - would have liked more after STS last week but c'est la vie and every little bit adds up :) And hey still chuffed re those smaller jeans! GP has increased my Thyroxine dose slightly from tomorrow but hopefully that should sort things out health wise. Bloods and review in 6/52 to see how that works out. In the meantime one day at a time with the plans.

Well done, Sharon! I'd be chuffed with 1.5 lbs personally, just the right rate to be losing it at. Keep up the good work. :) xx

Thanks Tracy was just hoping for more after STS a week ago - wishful thinking but I am pleased it's down :). Any news re the gall stones?

I'm going to see my GP on Tuesday, by which time he should have had the results from the hospital. :) xx

Sharon well done on the weight loss, I would be delighted with it! The tacos I made were with old El paso stuff. The spice for the mince was an el paso mix, reckoned 5 syns for the whole packet. Nice change. Last night I didn't have much time so I prepped the night before one of those maggi paprika packet mixes, put chicken, red onion, carrot and peppers in it, then when I got in bunged it in the oven and cooked a packet of savoury rice to have with it. That was tasty. Looking like a great weekend weather wise, planning a walk with hubby along the coast tomorrow.

Hi Jackie and thank you - I love inspirational quotes and thought it would be a nice idea to share them. Geordie that sounds a great idea with the tacos - i may give that a whirl at some point for the family - sounds yummy :) Hubby had today off so did all the tidying etc for the weekend today so we could enjoy the weekend - how lucky am I! Shopping sorted with us both this evening so what to do the weekend..... Quite fancying a chilled day with a book down on the beach one day but Hubby still has designs on that cycle ride too. Making the Thai chicken curry from the SW Asian cookbook tomorrow evening and doing a BBQ on Sun. Currently chilling with a Malibu and diet coke - 2.5 syns and worth every one of them.

Well had a lovely weekend. Nice chilled afternoon on the beach yesterday and cooked the Thai green curry from the Asia cookbook last night which was yum. Today ....... Drum roll...... We did the 15 mile cycle ride on the Camel Trail, well poor hubby had to push his bike the last four mikes as his chain came off and bent the cog - repair job now so we can go out again. There was a funny side to it though and quite a bit if laughter on the return trip :). BBQ at home this evening - check out the piccie - these seasonings are from Aldis and are lush on skinned chicken thighs and pork loin steaks. Bbq is 4.5 a sachet and Chinese is 5 a sachet - these are the two we tried today but as it serves quite a few people I only had to count 2 syns and that was probably over allowing :). Easy and a definite hit :)
