Well the last 36hrs have been hell!!! I live up a mountain up in the Sticks!! The red weather warning bang over where I work, and live. Friday I go to work, no snow but threat of some through the night....at 7.30am snow +++++ had to stay in work for a few hours extra. So left at 09.30 buy this time I had been awake for 20hrs, feeling tired sick, and really worried about driving in the snow. It was this time the hospital informed m4 shut in my direction!!! Spoke to hospital organiser, asked if I could have a room there for a night, even offered to work that night as very likely not everyone could have got in. Was told no rooms free all been booked by Drs, but if I could work brill!!!! They offered me a sofa in the staff room, I explained if I had to try and get home I would not be returning. All phones down. Could not ring Alex. No Internet as power cut!! So decided to try and drive home. Got as far as shut motorway a 20 min journey taking 1 hr 40, I then waited and waited x finally had a call of Alex at 14.30 hrs, he was so so angry with me, I had been dozing on and off at this point but had been awake for close to 24 hrs. I finally finished with the motorway at 17.30 hrs!! 8hrs after starting my journey, where I live was totally snowed in, so Alex come to pick me up in a 4x4 finally in the house at 18.30 xx I slept until 1 the afternoon xxx now fed and watered!!! And Alex looking for a 4x4 for me!!! I have said we have so little snow, but he is convinced I need with baby on the way!! Xxxx
im angry with you too. What were youbdoing in the freezing cold on the motorway for 8 hrs young lady!
